One chair has metal castors that are all original and the other chair has wooden castors that appear to be original. The gentleman’s arm chair is in nice condition and I don’t see anything wrong with it. The ladies chair is in good condition with a typical split in the seam in the back that we will tighten up prior to shipping. There are no metal bracing or any poor repairs to the chair.

This is a set of four matching vintage. Mid-century Gunlocke chairs. They are in very nice condition. Just a couple of light snags in the medium blue upholstery, which I have shown in the photos. Just like you've seen in Mad Men! This is a timeless style and because they're Gunlocke they are very sturdy and will wear forever. Two of the chairs have medallions with the cursive G, one has a block letter G and one has the paper tag with no medallion that I can find on it. Description Italian Renissance style walnut throne armchair would be a great addition to your home. Circa 20th century. This walnut armchair is what they call a bench piece. On the underneath of this chair, the glue blocks make think that this walnut armchair was made here in the US or England. Either way this armchair has nice detail with carved seat crests and scrolled detail on the chair backsplats and on the lower rails. After looking at the chair closely we learned that the appaerance of European worming is actually been fauxed to give that appearance of old wood. The density of the wood on this chair also makes me think the wood they used could be 18th century, but more then likely 19th century planks because the lack of any shrinkage. It has a solid walnut frame and leather upholstery. This chair has several good looking features which really dividing into two categories: frame and upholstery. The frame is walnut and remains very sturdy today. It has a beautiful light brown patina that would go well with a variety of wood types. The seat is a“scooped” seat which means the part you sit on ... morewas actually scooped out with a tool from a large solid piece of wood. In this case the seat is made from two halves joined together. The arm rests and front legs are turned and have nice detail on them. The front legs also end in brass casters with brown porcelain wheels on them. They join to the back legs with an“H” stretcher which provides plenty of support. The dark brown leather is new to the chair. Probably added to replace worn upholstery/leather. The leather is very soft and comfortable and is in pristine condition. Overall this chair is in good condition. There is a slight separation where the two seat halves join. And a smaller separation on the right side of the seat(very small) These are cosmetic only(due to the shrinkage of wood over many years) and do not affect the structural integrity of the chair. In fact, this chair is very sturdy, and ready for immediate every day use. This is a comfortable and beautiful antique desk chair that anyone would be happy to have! Lovely walnut armchair. Definitely need recovering. I considered recovering it but then I would have to charge more.besides. I thought it best for the buyer to choose their own fabric. frames are sturdy. This chair was probably made in the 1900's. Description 19th Century French Louis XV painted walnut armchair would be a great addition to your home. The construction and detail of the carving on this walnut armchair consists of what looks like a rose that at the top crest of this armchair and bell flowers on each side of the rose on the top chair crest. One the front lower seat rail there is a carved cartouche with what looks like foliage on opposing sides of the carved cartouche. On the inside of both arms of the chair there is a carved pattern. Over the years we have had the opportunity to look and inspect many armchairs and what was surprising with this armchair is the weight of it. We pulled the lining of the underside of the chair to take a look and we did see some old horse hair stuffing and also to see if this chair was gilded at a earlier time but there was no visual evidence ... moreof any gild. Vintage mid century lounge armchair. Feature carved walnut armrest and legs with stripes upholstery ether linen or raw silk fabric, but 100% natural. Unmarked. Structurally very well made, solid, very comfortable, heavy and sturdy. Note the sleek and elegant lines, and spacey and comfortable seat. The fabric design is absolutely symmetrical, amazing. Very good vintage condition, no repairs to the wood, minimum scuffs and nicks, please see all photos. The arms originally had sleeve covers, but there is only one sleeve and one to put it under your neck. Perhaps that's why there is no dirty spots on the arms and on top of the backseat. There are no holes or rips to the upholstery. No loose stitches. There are only a few small stains on the cushion which can most likely be cleaned off. The cushion has zipper and its removable. The most noticeable ... morestain or burn? is on one side of the cushion, which can be seen in the picture#5, the other side has lighted stain in picture#4. There is also stain inside under arm.
