Fine Items from ALittleUnlimited Description A beautiful antique walnut armchair with tapestry upholstery and a beautifully wrought iron apron across the front. The carving and turning on the wood is well done and quite graceful. The arms are slightly curved and carved out for a comfortable fit and the chair is quite comfortable for a chair of this type. The chair dates to the early 20th century and is very solid and sturdy with a nice warm patina to the finish on the walnut frame. I haven't cleaned or polished the wood. There are normal signs of wear to the frame including some bumps and scratches- please view all of the photographs. The tapestry upholstery shows signs of wear and age including fading- it has a wonderful old look to it. Though if you prefer a different fabric or a"new" look you could reupholster the chair. ... moreThere are no springs in the chair, support is given by the webbing straps. A very fine antique. Circa 1900, Louis XIII style Fauteuil high back arm chair in carved walnut. The back rest and seat cover are in hand needlepoint, and petit point, designs in appropriate period. The back rest retains the original fabric trim with tassels. The arm rests and front stretcher are carved with acanthus leaves, the front legs with rosette blocks. Chair measures 46" tall by 27" wide by seat 22" deep. Excellent condition: original finish to walnut, no chips or cracks. The solid needlepoint cushion and back rest are unworn, not soiled, fine colors. Tassels are complete. Retains the tacking where used.

Vintage Walnut Barrel/Slat Back Arm Chair Desk/Office/Task Rolls/Swivels/Adjusts
Tag says it is made by the Milwaukee Chair Co Milwaukee Wisconsin. Rolls and swivels nicely and the height adjusts. It also has a spring loaded tilt that is adjustable. Seat is formed and dished for comfort and the chair sets nice. The way you see it in the pictures the seat height is 18" with a back height of 34 1/2" It is 23 3/4" wide at the front of the arms. 23 1/2" at the rear of the arms. Outside measurements. Inside is 20 3/8" at the top, 19 1/4" where it meets the seat. Arms are 28 3/4" tall in the front, over 29" to the rear with the seat height set at 18" Seat is 20 1/2" wide by 17 1/4" deep. Leg spread is 20 1/2" across the closest points. Height will adjust 2 1/4" lower and about 2" higher and still have a good bit of threads left. Dated 3-45 for 1945 and and ... moreis chair 200 something in wal which is walnut. There are some finish scuffs and old paint drops/marks on it but no chips or cracks. It is a sound.solid,comfortable chair and well made. I am going to partially disassemble for shipping. The chair reattaches to the adjusting frame with 4 large screws. I like to put a little glue on the screw threads before I seat them to lock them in place. I am also going to pop the roller wheels off and they just pop back in. It is straight out of an estate and is a little dusty with some spider webs on the underside. It was being used at a roll top desk.
