This is a high quality reproduction. Some of these have very thin plastic. I also have the original and i can see no differance at all in them. The garden egg chair was designed by Peter Ghyczy in 1968. The chair was designed for indoor and outdoor use and became an icon in fashion furniture. Thank you for viewing this striking mission style arm chair made of solid oak. The exact provenance is unknown. But it is most certainly from the Arts& Crafts period. Though it has lived through numerous attempts at restoration over the years, it does still contain its original peg construction and metal spring and strap seat supports. This is a large arm chair measuring 38 1/2" in height. 26 1/2" across and 23" deep. It has a soft new tapestry fabric upholstering the seat with black grosgrain ribbon detailing. This chair is by no means in perfect condition. But it is sturdy and has loads of character. It would be a perfect addition to your home or workspace! This item is available for local Atlanta. This is a set of four matching vintage. Mid-century Gunlocke chairs. They are in very nice condition. Just a couple of light snags in the medium blue upholstery, which I have shown in the photos. Just like you've seen in Mad Men! This is a timeless style and because they're Gunlocke they are very sturdy and will wear forever. Two of the chairs have medallions with the cursive G, one has a block letter G and one has the paper tag with no medallion that I can find on it. Made in England circa 1900 Walnut frame New leather Scooped seat Good. Sturdy condition, This is a really sharp looking antique desk chair from England. We estimate it was made around 1900. It has a solid walnut frame and leather upholstery. This chair has several good looking features which really dividing into two categories: frame and upholstery. The frame is walnut and remains very sturdy today. It has a beautiful light brown patina that would go well with a variety of wood types. The seat is a“scooped” seat which means the part you sit on ... morewas actually scooped out with a tool from a large solid piece of wood. In this case the seat is made from two halves joined together. The arm rests and front legs are turned and have nice detail on them. The front legs also end in brass casters with brown porcelain wheels on them. They join to the back legs with an“H” stretcher which provides plenty of support. The dark brown leather is new to the chair. Probably added to replace worn upholstery/leather. The leather is very soft and comfortable and is in pristine condition. Overall this chair is in good condition. There is a slight separation where the two seat halves join. And a smaller separation on the right side of the seat(very small) These are cosmetic only(due to the shrinkage of wood over many years) and do not affect the structural integrity of the chair. In fact, this chair is very sturdy, and ready for immediate every day use. This is a comfortable and beautiful antique desk chair that anyone would be happy to have! The Chair dates from Circa 1920 and has ornate out scrolled arms and a deep seat. It upholstered in brown leather which is wor n and ripped in places on the front edge below the arms. The sides and the back are upholstered in a paler worm leather, the leather to the back panel. Seat& arms is darker and in better condition, The chair seat and back are sprung. The seat is a little lumpy but once sat on is very comfortable. The chair stands on square legs. Condition The Chairs frame is 100% sound. Two loose cushions(seat and back) Chairs are in very good original condition.
