The rocking chair has the traditional rolling seat, curved arms, and seven thin and concave spindles which support the lower back. There is a crack in the center spindle, but it does not seem to affect the chair's use. There is also slight movement in the legs, but they are not lose. This chair easily supports my 230 lbs, and it is very comfortable. This is a great example of a Boston Rocker and the worn surfaces highlight the chair's comfort and longevity. These rarely come up for sale and the last one on ebay was about 4 months ago and ended with a"reserve not met" at $1221. There are a few currently listed in the $2000-4000 range elsewhere. Unfortunately. Our new house doesn't have the space for it! This one is in very good vintage condition and has been reupholstered at some point in the past. The upholstery is in perfect condition with no tears/pulls/stains/smells and I'm pretty sure it's an expensive WOOL fabric. It features a geometric pattern in blue and yellow(the color mix makes it look greenish from a bit further back) The foam is still very soft which leads me to believe it was replaced when the chair was reupholstered. There are a few minor scuffs on the walnut base but they're barely noticeable. I don't think they're worth sanding/re-polying. The back measures 31 inches high from the ground. Seat width is 24 inches(28 inches outside of arms total) The depth of the chair is ~33 inches. While the rocker base measures 32 inches deep. The height to the top of the armrests measure 24 inches. Local pickup is preferred. But I can work with your shipping company of choice to get this to you. I know a lot of people use TSC Moving to ship furniture safely( Because of the value. Condition: Used Location: Chicago, United States Available is an antique Heywood Wakefield Victorian wicker chair. It is not a reproduction. I don't know the year it was made. But I was told by an ... moreexperienced antique dealer that it was 19th century. Condition is good. I don't want the chair to sound worse than it is, but I also want to describe any condition issues. It does have a few minor breaks in the gingerbread filigree, but they are very few and very minor and could easily be repaired. I have enjoyed the chair as it is. Considering its age, the chair is in great condition. If I live to be as old as this chair I hope I am in this good condition! The chair measures about 42 inches tall to the top of the chair, the front to back width is about 22 inches, while the left to right width is about 20 inches. Here is a description of the breaks. I don't want this to sound worse than it is. But I want to be accurate. See photos as well. The damage is minor, and mostly is to the curly-cue decorations. It appears that they could be glued. In the case of a missing piece, it would involve a piece of cane and beads. Here it is: at top of the back of seat there is a break at the left and right side. Some wicker"ties" that hold the decorations together are missing. In the middle, there are 2 breaks in the gingerbread, but these could be glued. On the opposite side there is a piece of missing cane and beads. I have seen replacement beads for sale, as well as cane. The wood seat is warped, but I was able to sit in the chair. The seat is still serviceable, but you may want to replace it either with wood or cane. If the chair is turned over the original cane is visible, so this once had a cane seat. There is one curly-cue on the back of the leg that is broken, but it could be glued. As can be seen in the photos, there is some paint loss, however that is to be expected. The wicker underneath on the leg is in fine condition. I am willing to work with you on shipping. However I have made this customer pick-up. To be shipped, this would have to be sent in a

Very Neat. Vintage, Victorian, Child's Wicker Rocker, Circa- Early 1900. Measures: 24" tall; 13" wide; and the rocker base is 20" long. It has a wooden frame base and all upper parts are wicker and straw. Pre-owned in acceptable vintage condition. It has been painted and has two small breaks in the straw seat- please see picture#5) The breaks are very small and unnoticeable and have not weaken the seat. A very neat vintage piece. ANTIQUE OAK CANE BACK HIGH CHAIR/CHILDS ROCKER--CIRCA 1900'S
Beautiful oak folding high chair or rocking chair. This high chair is in wonderful original condition. And has the clever design that it has been built with that will permit the chair to be adjusted up and down making the chair into a rocker when in the lowest position and the high chair in the upright position. The rattan/wicker seat/backing is in great condition, no broken pieces. Approx. measurements: When the chair is fully extended it is 40" tall, folded it is 27" This piece dates to 1900 and there are no markings on it. The tray is also missing but it still makes a great little chair. I'm sure the spindles could use a bit of tightening up.

Lady's Rocker Circa 1910 This rocker used to belonged to my aunt and she told me that it used to belong to her mother. So it is old. When I got it it was painted and the paint was badly chipped. When I stripped it I found the the back was a birdseye wood(Maple? Smooth polished finish. Not high gloss. There are a few dings as expected from an item of this age. But all is intact and no large gouges or breaks. the seat at one time was a rattan seat, but it is gone. I have cut a seat to be covered for it, but it is not attached. Either use the seat or re-rattan the seat. The rocker is not large but the box will be, as I can't remove the rockers. I am afraid I will break it. The rocker is 29" deep at the rockers themselves. I'll be happy to drop the chair off at a San Francisco Peninsula shipping location of your choice, uncrated and unwrapped. But again, all arrangements, expenses, and responsibilities lie with you and your chosen shipper. Not just lovely but comfortable. With wonderful rustic touches. This is the kind of chair an antique lover never stops appreciating. There are so many small touches to discover and re-discover. The peg construction; the original iron rods augmenting the arm spindles; the stunning tiger oak in the headrest; the very old. Quaint fasteners attaching the back ... moreof the headrest. It's just lovely. Reupholstered circular seat pad. A professional appraiser estimates its date of manufacture at around 1900. Some of the joints are a tiny bit loose. But having sat and rocked in the chair, I didn't notice that until I went deliberately hunting for flaws. Certainly usable as is, or inject a little wood glue to guarantee sturdiness. The fronts of the rockers appear to have either banged into something or been nibbled by a pet. See the pictures. And there's general wear and tear appropriate to its hundred-years-plus on the planet. While in storage. A small rub of yellow paint transferred onto an arm. Should buff off easily, I just don't have the time. Eighth picture, back near where the arm joins the back. It's pale and small, hard to see, but it's there! Close-ups include: the iron rod among the spindles; the underside. Where the rod and arm support attach side-by-side; wear to the rocker underside, including a hairline crack; the old fasteners behind the headrest; the wood grain of the headrest, spindles, and seat; the aforementioned yellow paint transfer.
