These antique dining chairs have a simulated brown vinyl or leather seat that appears to be good with only one scuff mark on one of the armchairs. The chairs are modern cane in the back that follows the contours of the back. I do not see any holes in the cane. The chairs are all tight and sturdy and great for antique dining chairs. The overall size of the armchair is 21 inches wide, 18 inches deep, 19 inches high to the seat, 27 inches high to the arm and 42 inches high to the chair back.

Icanthus leaves and other carvings including column front legs ... moreand rush bottom seats, imported through Edinburgh, Scotland and in a Henry II style, these most probably were manufactured there in Scotland or perhaps England in the early to mid-twentieth century. I have noted in my description of condition above that one of the rush bottom seats on this set is broken through, and simply replaced at present with a wood board underneath the seat cushion. I have taken this into account and am selling these chairs"as is" for a great price for someone looking to invest a little love into bringing them back to their full glory by replacing the seat(s) These side dining chairs stand 37 1/2 inches tall and measure 17 1/2 inches wide by 17 inches front to back. The seat height is 18 inches and the seats themselves are 17 1/2 inches wide tapering to 14 inches wide across the back and 15 inches deep. Front to back. Leaves and other carvings including column front legs and rush bottom seats, imported through Edinburgh, Scotland and in a Henry II style, these most probably were manufactured there in Scotland or perhaps England in the early to mid-twentieth century. I have noted in my description of condition above that three of the rush bottom seats on this set is broken through, and simply replaced at present with a wood board underneath the seat cushion. I have taken this into account and am selling these chairs"as is" for a great price for someone looking to invest a little love into bringing them back to their full glory by replacing the seats. These side dining chairs stand 37 inches tall and measure 17 inches wide by 16 1/2 inches front to back. Solid quarter sawn oak, these chairs are rugged and strong furniture. The deep finish is superb on these American made Craftsman antiques. One has a fragmentary label from the"Sheboygan Chair Co. of Sheboygan, Wis. Size is 17 1/2" wide, 22" deep, 36" tall and seats are 18" high. The arm chair has been recently recovered to match. The side chairs could be easily recovered if desired but we decided to keep the seats original. 1910 Bentwood Oak Dining Chairs
Two captain's chairs and four side chairs. ALL have the bent wood arms. The captain's chairs just have more turning on the back and legs. The head rest appears to be pressed. The chairs were recovered in a deep green/black leather in the 1980's at over $200 a piece. Used in a law office reception room in Denver for the past 37 years. Some leather show wear. Set 6~ American Solid Tiger Oak Jacobean Barley Twist Large Dining Chairs c1910 Being offered for sale is this fabulous set of 6 ~ American Solid Oak& Tiger Oak Jacobean Style Dining Chairs with Bold Barley Twists circa 1910. This set consists of two large armchairs and four side chairs with each chair having casters on all four feet and carved H type stretchers. These chairs are large and chunky and very well made. Very solid and sturdy. These chairs boast of newer wide corduroy type fabric in a beautiful sea-foam green with matching gimp trim. The fabric is in excellent condition with only a very tiny spot or two on the fabric. Measurements: armchairs: 46 1/2 inches high 23 1/2 inches arm to arm seat width 20 inches seat depth 19 inches seat height 19 inches each weighs approximately 30 lbs Side Chairs 44 1/2 inches high seat width ... moreof 21 1/2 inches seat depth of 19 inches sea height of 19 inches each side chair weighs approx. 25 lbs These chairs have a great presence and definitely make a bold statement and are in wonderful antique condition. They are solid and tight and sturdy. Two of the chairs have a small piece of wood missing on the right side barley twist. I have shown these in pictures 10& 11, not very noticeable at all. you have to really look to see them, and some of the chairs have chips on the back legs near the feet, see last picture) which neither of these affects the grand presence or integrity of these beautiful antique chairs, it's just normal age and character of pieces of this age in my opinion but did want to point these out. Just a gorgeous set of dining chairs ready for use and enjoyment for many more years to come. Please view.
