This is a mates chair and although it have those little stubby"arms" it is not to be confused with the actual captain's chair of this style that has much longer arms. These were produced for a number of years by Ethan Allen for a few of their lines including Traditional and Early American. There is no damage to the chair and only a few tiny dings or scratches from normal use. There is very light wear to the very tip of the top rail and tip of the"arms" All the joints are nice and tight. It is in the popular nutmeg color and the finish is very good. It has been thoroughly cleaned and polished with butchers wax. It is 29 1/2" tall with a 17" seat height. The height of those stubby"arms" is only 25 1/4" so these chairs can be tucked tightly under the apron of most tables. Leaving more floor space in a smaller dining area. As for the chair it is very comfortable due to the great formed seat work that Ethan Allen was noted for in all of their lines from this period. It is constructed of maple and built to last for generations. As always, feel free to ask any questions and I'll get right back to you. Too cool. This is pretty sharp. It is a Chair back of some sort. maybe it's a beach chair. Not sure. Hopefully you will know. It is made of a lightweight wood with a woven back, caned. Arms flip up or down with a wooden notch underneath. 5 notches for adjusting, this measures total 21.5in.wide by 25.5in.tall. Back alone- 19in.wide by 2ft.tall. Arms fold down to over 10in. We believe it is maple. Top corners and bottom legs all have light marks and light wear which can all be rubbed out. I won't attempted to clean more than dusting. No tears. Rips or gauging. This is a vintage slatted folding chair made by the Paris Mfg. Co. of Paris Maine. It is made of a hardwood and measures aprox. 34" high x 16" wide x 20" deep. The seat is about 16" wide x 12" deep. We have more than one of these available and this is representative of the condition. There is some obvious wear from use and some paint splatter but no broken slats or cross stretchers. They are available for pickup or can be delivered by Fed Ex ground for 18.80 including insurance. We will do our best to combine lots to save on shipping costs.

Unique Vintage Folding Maple Wood Chair Mohair Seat - None Like It On eBay
This little chair is a real treasure and the new owner will not be disappointed. Height of chair is 31 1/2 inches. The seat is 14 X 14 inches square and is 16 1/2 inches high. Just perfect for sitting. I believe that the fabric is mohair(feels and looks like a stieff mohair bear) and the binding is worn at both front corners as shown in the next to last picture. The last picture shows the only damage which is a thin missing piece of wood which I believe dates to the making of the chair. Chair does have wear from use and minor scratches but nothing that takes away from the simple beauty of the piece. The color is a pretty shade of golden honey. There may be an old thin coat of clear varnish covering the chair The chair is sturdy and folds smoothly. When folded, one of the spindles becomes a carrying handle. This is an outstanding piece of furniture considering its age. It was manufactured by the Gold Medal Folding Furniture Company of Racine Wisconsin. This style of chair has been reproduced over the years. And is currently sold in several furniture outlets. However. This style, with the lathe turned legs, made from fine Maple Wood was produced between 1917 and 1925. Also the brass manufacture's plate dates it to this period. Folding outdoor furniture began coming into use during the first couple of decades of the 20th century when the popularity of the automobile made sturdy. High quality folding furniture desirable. A drive in the country in the family Model T included a stop for a picnic. And what better way to enjoy this riparian festivity than with a couple of folding chairs. A quilt and a basket of fried chicken. Gold Medal was known ... morefor making a strong. Attractive chair that would last for years, giving the owner much pleasure into the future. Their motto was; The best for the camp bears the'Gold Medal' stamp. This particular chair is style number 35. The company also made other camping related items. Such as; Cots and Camp Beds Mosquito Bar Frames with Netting Folding Rubber Baths Folding Stools. Tables, Water Pails and Wash Stands. The company also had a Government Contract. Making Litters for the red cross and was a supplier of many foldable items for the Army during the first world war. This chair is in very nice condition. With only minor scratching here and there. There is also some paint residue if you look close enough to notice it. Just a drop here and there. And a couple of paint scrapes from some other piece of furniture that rubbed up against it. Structurally. It is extremely sound, easily supporting my 200 plus pounds. The fabric on the seat and back is a very strong leather-like material. I don't know if it is the original fabric. Vintage Black Metal Industrial Style Folding Chair - Maple City Stamping Co
Get your hands(and seat) on this cool vintage industrial chair. It is a folding steel auditorium or theatre style chair from the 1920's or 30's. As can be seen in the pictures. The chair has some rust. Also, it is a little bent out of shape right now, and one hinge connecting the seat to the seat back is broken, but it could be easily welded back together. As is, you can sit in this chair right now, but it needs to be fixed up some if you want to use it as an every day chair. You could also use it as a prop or decorative piece as is. This is a wonderful rocking chair. It is quite old- closer to 1850 than 1890. Probably civil war era, hand crafted- the signs of hand toolls are obvious in its construction. And it is extremely comfortable. It was in my father-in-law's house sitting in front of the coal stove and it was a chair one could settle in to in comfort on a cold evening with the fire going. He had his own that was lower to the ground- he was 5'5" while this was for company and for sons-in-law- I was 5'10 then. The chair is primarily hard maple for strength and soundness. The stetchers are hickory for resiliance and toughness. The split hickory bottom is the original. While not absolutely perfect. It is in much better condition than one would expect given the chair's age and is still completely usable. The item up for bid is a antique child's rocking chair. It's all hard maple with a plank bottom seat. Nice maple finish. Not too dark, you can see the wood grain and it's ready to use as is. The construction is good, joints are tight, no cracks or missing pieces. It measures approx. 13" wide X 21" high X 22" deep. The seat is 9" off the floor. It would make a great gift for that grandchild or your own kid!

This Vintage Storkline Child's Rocking Chair has been in my family for 65 years. It has nice decals on the back rail in pink and blue of a rocking horse. The music box does not work however the chair is clean the finish is good with some wear on arms. I believe it is maple solid wood. No repairs have been made. S. Bent& Bros Windsor Comb Back Chair in Rock Maple wood made in the 1950’s it is a vintage reproduction of what is called a Comb back Windsor with a V splay back stretcher supports these were first made in New England in Pennsylvania in Chester county during the late 1700’s and were a popular reproduction item in the late 1950’s to the late 1960’s they were mass produced at that time. It has knuckle arms and a curved crest back. The bottom has turned spindles flanked by rings on either side of the bobbins for the H style stretcher.

Wonderful condition for it's age. Rolling. Swivel Chair with Tilting Backrest Unsure if it has been restored or just well taken care of. Bottom is missing two out of four 1/4 round pieces that go around the base near the legs(see photos) The wheels do not seem to roll that smoothly and may have been removed and not put back on properly. There is a little wear to the back on one side(see photos) and some light tape marks on the front back where a tag was attached in the sun for a few hours. Antique sewing nursing rocker brown wood rocking chair maple early 1900's RARE
Antique small high-back rocking chair early 1900's or earlier; wood like maple or tiger oak but am not positive on the type of wood. This style is commonly known as a ladies(larger than a childs rocker& smaller than a standard rocker) bedroom rocker as it was utilitarian for sewing while rocking& armless to allow you to nurse your infant. Light maple brown stain/shellac in color with nice detail on spindles. High-back design& not sure exactly if Edwardian, Victorian, early Americana. Hard to find these small antique rockers with high backs& long ski like rockers. Many of these were used in the bedroom as they were smaller& took up less space. Curved wood rods attach seat to the back for sturdier construction to keep it from separating. Seat is grooved up a little in middle front so your legs lay nicely w/out them falling ... moreinto each other; very comfy. Nice cut out design on back piece. Spindle detail on top back& front chair leg supports. Rocker is 36" from floor to top back; 15 1/2" from floor to seat; 16" side to side at front of seat; 25 1/2" from back of seat to top of back. I welcome any additional info you know about this item. This belonged to my grandmother's mother(I am 52) I have included as many photos as the system will allow. I can email other photos if there is something else you would like to view. I have tried to capture unique details and imperfections. Rocker is in excellent condition for it's age(I think so but all opinions vary) Some small issues of dings. One area has lost it's coloring on seat(photos 3& 10) The front of the seat has a slight separation-see picture 9. This could be restored but will leave up to new owner. Lovely antique birdseye maple sewing/nursing rocking chair with caned seat. I had the caning redone several years ago so it is in excellent shape. The seat shows indications that at some point in time another type of seat had been tacked/nailed in place which frequently occurred when caning needed replacement. Otherwise. This chair is excellent condition. The chair measures 32" high from the floor to the top of the center back; the seat is 16.5 X 16.25" The joints are solid and the finish appears to be original.
