Antique J S Ford Johnson Pressed Spindle Back Desk Chair Caned Bottom Pedestal VGC 100 yrs old. LOCAL PICK UP ONLY The metal adjustment pedestal has the name J.S. Ford Johnson Chicago on two of the pieces. JS Ford Johnson pedestal chair. Ford Johnson Company went out of business in 1913. This chair is at least 100 years old. It has a caned bottom. I replaced this 30+ years ago. It is still in good condition with no holes or broken pieces. Chair swivels and has an adjustment pedestal to lower and raise and adjust how far back you can lean. It has Bassick casters on it. I believe they are original to the chair. Everything on the chair is original but the seat. The chair was refinished about 45 to 50 years ago by my husband. It has some scuffed areas as you will see in the pictures. Some on the back as in picture 2. Near the head crown on the ... moreright as you look at the chair, and some on the legs near where the casters are. Overall look of chair is good. The scuffing does not detract. There is a 1 1/4" split where the right arm attaches to the back. just above and to the right of top screw) As you can see in picture 5 there is a screw holding part of the pedestal assembly to the chair bottom. I think the hole for this screw was too large to secure it from the bottom. So someone made a hole on the top and secured it that way. Although the chair was caned when we got it, I think it may have had a leather seat originally. I am not sure because I have tried to find a picture of this chair and haven't had any luck yet. I do know cane and rush was used by this company. They were quite well know for quality furniture as you will find if you search their name. There is a beautiful pressed in pattern of what seems to be the face of a king with a crown on it. Also there is scroll work and decorative trim. Spindles on arms and back. Chair works well. Measurements: 26" bottom of seat to top of back. Seat is 21 1/4" wide x 19" deep, legs are appromiimately 15" and Height is adjustable. This chair has b

Antique Johnson Chair Co. Rare Swivel Solid Wood office Industrial Chair
For sale is a Johnson Chair Co. swivel office chair. Bankers or secretarial chair. It is solid wood and in great vintage condition. Some scuff marks and scratches, as well as tarnishing to the metal. Some mild splits appear in the seat. All four wheels are included, but one needs to be re-attached. Also, the back is tilted back- it tilts to the upright position when sitting upright, however I cannot lock it in at this position and I'm not sure how. It is in need of cleaning. I've posted the shipping weight at 40lbs. I will refund any overcharge after packing. Local pickup in Bolingbroke GA is also an option. Please examine the photos.

There is a metal plate that's stamped with the following information: PROPERTY OF DEFENSE PLANT CORPORATION AN INSTRUMENTALITY OF THE UNITED STATES GOVERNMENT D.P.C. 30027-1 W.S.P. The Chair is in Good. Used Condition. Use It As Is or Restore It. This chair is very well made. All of the wood joints are still very tight. The Chair has a few scrapes. Scuffs of paint and wear spots. The rubber chair bumper is mostly gone, a little bit is still on either side of the chair. See Photos. Please. The chair is 39 1/2 Inches Tall. To the top of the chair back, 16 1/4 to the seat and 26 5/8 to the armrest. The chair is 26 Inches Wide, outer armrest to outer armrest. And 23 1/2 Deep. Terrific Mid Century Sling chair designed by Jerry Johnson. Extremely comfortable design featuring original black sling seat with sculptural walnut wood frame much in the style of kagan or pearsall. The chair is in excellent original condition showing no signs of cracks or structural damage. The seat is original black vinyl and in excellent condition as well. VINTAGE JOHNSON CHAIR CO US BANKERS COURTROOM ADJUSTABLE WOOD AND RATTAN
Offering a Stunning Johnson and Chair Co. Office/Bankers Chair This Johnson Chair Co chair is pretty rare not found in any listings after long research! It swivels around freely and tilts way back might need to be adjusted? It measures approx. 36" tall when swiveled down and up to 42" tall when swiveled up. Seat is 21" wide and 20" deep. Arm rests are 12" deep by 8" tall, wheel to wheel 19" wide. Its wood type. Age and style is puzzling surely its old but I cannot pin point if its pre 1950's or pre 1900's Style wise it has many beautiful lines going for its self. Has very art Deco lines mixed with some Nouveau and Victorian! The back rest. Seat skirt, arm support has a very strong Art Deco look, and the base legs are carved with some beautiful flowers and leaves that gives it a victorian/ Nouveau ... morefeel. The entire chair is carved in detail pictures just don't do justice. It has a very chunky strong metal wear at the bottom which is marked in various areas Johnson Chair Co. and Patent Pending the#10 and K. The back rest and seat are rattan and one of the areas is starting to become loose as expected with a chair this old but over all still strong. Some of the wood has a bit of splits but sturdy and strong still. No loose wood parts, The screws and metal parts may need some adjusting and oiling. I have only cleaned it with mild oil once. It still has a rich patina. No repairs that I can see. One screw of the 6 that are attached to the metal base of the bottom of the seat missing this is easy to correct. Vintage Johnson Oak Swivel Desk Chair
I'm really not sure who made this really nice oak chair but the tightening handles on this chair have a big J; so I think it's a Johnson out of Chicago. It stands 31 1/2" and is 14 3/4 at its widest on the seat. It is made of tiger striped oak and is in perfect condition as far as I can tell. You might want to consider picking this piece up instead of shipping it.

For auction is a gorgeous and historical signed Johnson antique chair. The original sticker underneath the seat is worn but present. You can also see Johnson Chair Co on the cast iron swivel mechanism. The chair has a beautiful classic look. The chair shows a lot of wear in many places. The patina has a very old look and the finish is wearing off in general. There are some small specks of white paint. There are several places near the casters that there are 3 holes. A wood chip or two and perhaps some replacement wood or wood filler. There are some pre-cracks and the wood looks strange near the chair back near the top on one side. There may be some wood filler near the seat on the middle back of the chair. The casters do not move easily. With the wonderful cast iron underneath. The chair is very heavy(I estimate 33 pounds) I do not know the ... moreage. Though it looks similar to a chair that was listed as 1920, but that is only a guess. Also. I believe it is Oak, but again, that is just a guess on my part.
