Very Neat. Vintage, Victorian, Child's Wicker Rocker, Circa- Early 1900. Measures: 24" tall; 13" wide; and the rocker base is 20" long. It has a wooden frame base and all upper parts are wicker and straw. Pre-owned in acceptable vintage condition. It has been painted and has two small breaks in the straw seat- please see picture#5) The breaks are very small and unnoticeable and have not weaken the seat. A very neat vintage piece. Up for auction is a lovely child's wooden rocker. I have listed it as antique/vintage because it is not marked with a company logo so I am unsure of the age. The fabric it is upholstered with seems to be pretty old. It has a colonial design with the White House and year 1792 on it. The chair measures 23 inches high and it's legs are 21 inches long. It is a nice sturdy chair in good condition. The fabric could use a good cleaning it is dingy. I am not sure the best way to go about this, so I am selling as is. This Is An Authentic Beautiful Victorian Antique Child's Rocking Chair With An Amazing Fan Shaped Back. It Could Be Used As A Photographer's Prop. A Display Piece For Dolls or Bears, Or For Your Favorite Grandchild. According To The Label On The Bottom Of The Chair. This Rocker Was Made By Conant& Bush of Gardner, Mass* It Was Never Painted This Rocker Was Purchased For A Woman Named Jessie Who Was Born In 1888 Her Baby Picture Will Accompany Her Rocker On the back of her baby picture is written"Jessie Born 1888 in Hampton. N.H. This exceptional rocking chair is made of rattan. Reed, and cane. It is in very good antique condition. The chair used to have a caned seat and back. When the center cane pieces broke. Possibly because Jessie stood on it, a wooden seat was placed over the top of the original caned seat. That seat ... morehas holes some of which form at star. The cane remnants are under the wooden seat as shown in the 10th picture. It does have some other condition issues. None of these issues affects the chair's stability. There are several pieces of wound reed missing. Examples are shown in photos 6-8. One area has been bound with copper wire soldered into place. There are a couple of other areas along the chair's arms where the reed binding is broken or is missing. This is simply a stunning and authentic child's reed. Caned rocker that is 133 years old! As of the time I listed this rocking chair. Another Ebay seller was selling a envelope and stamp postmarked 1885 by the chair's makers Conant& Bush. This rocking chair is approx. 23" high. Across the arms the chair is 17 1/2" The back is 15 1/2" high and 15 7/8" wide.

Has this really cute design on the back. We did not clear the chair, the color of the original paint a soft gold color, which might be brighter after it's clean. This handsome child's rocker appears to have been handmade and is in wonderful original finish. The seat appears to be some sort of vinyl but can easily be re-covered by removing four bolts. Popping out the seat and adding your own personal touch to it. I didn't want to change anything so I could keep it as is, especially for the purists that like all things original.

Up for auction is a darling antique wooden child's or doll's rocking chair. It has a very deco looking carved pattern on the upper back with spindles. The original woven seat is present but needs repaired. I am thinking a small woven rug would look great to cover it if you don't wish to spend the money for repairs. I don't know if the finish is original or not. I've taken photos so you can check it out. There are some numbers written on the bottom that do no appear to be original markings. The family told me it was purchased new in the early 1950's and was their chair when they were little. Black with gold decor or house. Cow, fence, chicken, tree, sun, and birds and flowers. Measures 16" wide across the top piece. The rocker pieces on the bottom measure 24" and this is about 26" tall. Wood spokes. Rocks nice. Condition-nice preowned condition. Needs a good cleaning! We have here what we believe to be a scarce antique 1910 Thueringer child's painted wood"Rooster" rocking chair. Measuring 40" long and standing 26" high. The seat width is approx. 12" The elderly lady who sold us this rocker said she remembers sitting in it as a small child. The remarkably sturdy rocker is in excellent shape considering the age, with no breaks or repairs evident. Child's Solid Oak Rocking Chair Rocker 1920-1950 Early Painted Beautiful Fancy
Here is a beautiful Child's Rocking Chair that dates. I would estimate, from the 1920-1950 period. And is probably American Made(it is not marked anywhere) The chair looks to be machine made. Because of the turnings of the front posts, but it could be partially hand made. It is solid oak. It has been painted 4 times. Possibly originally. There are only scattered chips of paint, but on a couple I was able to determine that the chair has been painted pink(originally? Light blue. Dark green. And this current pea green. In that order. The chair is super strong and could probably hold an adult with a butt small enough to fit into it. The width of the seat is 12 1/2" x 11 1/4" The chair is 21" tall. 15 1/2" wide at the front and 12 1/2" wide at the back. The rockers are 21" long exactly. The arms are nicely cut ... morein kind of a early American style. The back has 2 2" slats and the seat has 5 2" slats; they are not cracked. There is no structural issues with this chair. Please see the Description Section where I go into detail as to condition. The paint has dulled and taken on a nice patina of its own. But this chair has not been painted in decades, and in fact, the tone of the green has a certain" 1950's" coloring to it. As I state in the Description Section. This paint on this chair could be lead base. Or Kemtone. A brand name paint from the 1950's that adhered well and perhaps also had lead in it. For this reason, I would say this chair is more for an adult to decorate with than it is for a child to use. One of the nicest very nice early to mid- 20th Century children's chair you will see. This is another great family piece. This was my grandfather's when he was a young child(born 1907) My late mother kept this chair forever. It has all the original mechanism brackets and bar. I think the cushions are not original. But are very old. They appear to have had buttons on them at one time. Cushions are not perfect, but are still very attractive on the chair. This is a nice one family owner piece with a great look and patina on the original finish. This has been carefully cared for throughout the years. This beauty has goreous well porportioned styling, the original spiral spindles are elegant throughout, the back is high, the decoratin is that of a five leaf floral. I rocked it and it went on and on rocking, it was unbelievable, a bit spooky. I believe it was made somewhere around the 1890's, it had the seat replaced around the 1920's, which would explain how I found it. Other than the seat being replaced, this beauty is all original. Up for auction is a beautiful 1920's era children's rocking chair. What makes this chair special is the light and dark color wood inlay on the back and seat. Very rare to find this in a child's rocker from that era. The wood appears to be walnut and oak but I cannot say for sure. There are light scratches throughout due to natural wear but no deep gouges or missing pieces. The woven cane seat is in excellent condition with no tears, breaks, or puncture holes. Child's Metal Porch Rocker This auction is for a retro. 1940's- 1950's child's metal porch rocker. Rocker has that classic'clam shell' back. Item has been completely sanded, primed, and a couple of coats of paint applied(Rust Oleum) Seat height measures about 10 1/2" The seat measures about 11 3/4" across between the arm rests. The white rocker portion that sets on the floor can actually be bent to lessen or increase the ability to rock the chair. Refer to my pictures for more details. Vintage Nichols & Stone Child’s Pine Rocker from 1938 Hurricane
This child's rocking chair was produced in a limited edition after a terrible storm hit the entire length of New England on September 21. 1938. The storm caused many deaths, left thousands homeless, and sent millions of pine trees crashing to the ground. The hefty seat of this“Hurricane” chair is a full 2" thick and made of pine from the New England Hurricane Area, as guaranteed by the burned-in brand. My parents gave one to both my brother and myself for our birthdays in late 1940, when we turned 6 and 3, respectively. The chairs were well-used and much loved. As you can see from the photos, the one I have left is pretty well beat up-lots of scratches, dents, etc. and I believe someone must have repaired a back leg at some point and added a little black paint there. Otherwise, there are no restorations to either the black paint ... moreor the gold decorations. I always loved the two little deer on the upper back. A treasured classic, which someone who knows how could lovingly restore. This little rocker is 27" high from the floor to the top of the back, and the seat measures 15" across. We have for your consideration a Child's/ Salesman's Sample? Mission Oak. Arts& Crafts rocker. This rocker is done in the style of Wakefield or Stickley however, the original label is almost gone so I cannot make an exact identification. The rocker is early 1900's and is in good antique condition with a nice patina and firm tendon and srew joints. This rocker features a formed saddle seat and measures: 25" tall, X 17 3/4" wide from arm to arm, X 13 1/4" deep.

Lloyds Loom Antique Child's Wicker Rocker
This is a lovely Lloyds Loom child's wicker rocking chair. I have had it for several years. And it's time for someone else to love it. It is in very good condition considering age. I am not sure if it's the original paint, but if not, it was painted a very long time ago. The tin seat is original as the Lloyds Loom of Menominee Mich. tag is on the bottom. There are some rust areas and a few dents in the tin that shows the age of the paint. I have tried to photograph every angle so you can appreciate the overall condition. It stands 17" tall and measures about 18 1/2" across at the widest part. I call it'the bear chair' because I've had teddy bears in it since I've owned it. Please email me with any questions.
