These chairs are local pick up only. I'm no expert. But loved these chairs and planned on restoring them years ago. never got to it, but still think they could be nice. There are enough pieces to make eight(8) chairs. They all have the Thonet labels on the bottom and all the original components. cant find the screws to the disassembled ones) They have rust, dust, and a good amount of delamination, but maybe they can be used for parts by someone who restores these old chairs.

I found a local furniture daeler that sells on consignment. A Rare Antique THONET. Austria Fiddle backed Bentwood Chair with all the bells& whistles ca. late 1800's to 1930's give or take? The chair has the original stenciled or maybe burned in logo under the center of the front backside of the seat. The seats super cool it made of one solid piece of wood that's been bent back around onto itself. The what I'm sure was once leather seat is long gone, but it could be replaced. It has all the original hardware. The piece is about 35" tall from the floor to the top of the seat back. The seat's 16 1/2" ... morewide across the from side to side, 15 1/4" long from front to back. The chair has scuffs, a few scrapes, and some wear as it should for it's age and use. Antique Thonet Rocking Chair / Bentwood / Rocker "THONET Burned Imprint"
I am not sure of the actual age of this rocking chair but if you are here looking you might have an idea:o) Along with the"THONET" imprint there is either an X6 or 9X(not sure which of the two it is suppose to be) imprinted on several parts of the chair. The chair is in very well condition except for the ends of the rocker as you can see in the picture. The seat and backrest are not broken anywhere. There are a few spots of white paint on the chair. I did not want to attempt to remove it and mess anything up. There is also on broken screw on the bottom board. The piece that would be behind your ankles when seated. Also has nicks and scuffs. Despite the minor imperfections this is a beautiful chair and worth restoration! Listing as a"Pick Up" only but would be willing to ship if you make the arrangements.

Finish is original and could look like new with a restoration job but not bad as is. The lace caned in the back of the chair is perfect. Antique Thonet Bentwood Chair-With Multiple Tags Intact
Before I start in about this chair I wanted to mention a bit about the shipping. I have the shipping maybe a bit high but lately I have been loosing my tush on shipping because I have been way under charging. I am new and haven't quite figured the shipping thing out yet. I will say this however. I am a very honest seller and will NOT ever charge anyone too much on shipping. That has been done to me and I refuse to do it to someone else. So, if I can ship it cheaper I absolutely will, and if it doesn't take that much to ship it then you will be getting a refund. I have up for sale a very antique genuine Thonet bentwood accent chair. This chair is solid especially for it's ... moreage. We have sat in it for years. Just don't have room for it any longer. This chair is 33 inches tall and 16 inches wide. I am not 100 percent sure what this chair is made of, meaning what type of wood. While it is a little smaller than a normal size dinning room chair for example, this chair is quite heavy for it's size. This chair is a bit dusty and probably needs to be cleaned up properly. I am sure it would look a whole lot richer if it had some wood polish on it, but I am never sure exactly what might harm or help a chair this age and I sure would hate to have run a rag over it with wood polish and find out that I just ruined it. I have that sort of luck you know, lol. Okay. So continuing on with this beautiful chair. From the research I have done it seems to me that Thonet stopped making this type of seat around 1880. I am certain this chair is NOT a reproduction because if you look at some of my pictures of the underside of the chair you can see that it has square nails in it. Vintage KOHN& MUNDUS Bentwood Chair 34" Back Carved Round Seat AS-IS Thank you for viewing my auction. Up for auction I have a Kohn& Mundus Bentwood with a round carved seat. The chair has a 34" tall back rest and 18" tall seating area with a 16" round seat. The seat has an unusual carved lines and swirls pattern. The back rest has the typical bentwood chair design. Which extends down the rear legs and is attached with metal brackets to the underside of the chair with square head bolts. The legs have a beautifully shaped bentwood stretcher attached on the rear of the front legs, the bottom under rim of seat, and extends down to the lower rear legs. I am not sure if this is the original color of the chair, which has heavy wear to the finish. The seat has water damage plus a split from front to back. There is white ... morepaint on the front of the back rest and heavy dirt from use. The underside of the seat looks to have been spray painted white. The label is no longer present, but the underside has"MADE IN POLAND" carved into the side. The 2 metal brackets attached to the bottom of the seat and the legs is stamped"PAT, SEP 22 14" The metal chair feet or gliders are no longer present. The chair may have been used as a stage prop. This is a very cool chair. The Following description is information I was able to find through my research on this piece. I don't personally know much about this type of chair. So I can only go by what I discovered during my research. Please look closely for yourself and make your own determination if the information is accurate. Up for auction we have an Ice Cream Parlor. Soda Shop, Bistro Style 1900-1950 Kohn& Mundus style Art Deco Bentwood Thonet style chair with a round super embossed hand carved seat. I believe it dates closer to the circa 1925 era. The chair has a 34" tall back rest and 18" tall seating area with a 14 1/2" diameter seat. When pushed against the wall it measures 17" deep from the wall to the front of the seat. The seat has an interesting carved lines and swirls pattern. The underside of the ... moreseat rim has a stamp into the wood that I believe says Made in Poland. It's difficult to make out. The back rest has the typical bentwood chair design which extends down the rear legs and is attached to the underside of the chair with old square head bolts. The back features triple turned spindle or pin back supports. The legs have that beautifully shaped bentwood look. I am not sure if this is the original color of the chair. Which has heavy wear to the finish. There is some sporadic paint speckles and spots here and there on the chair. The chair came out of an art studio, which explains the paint. I'm sure if you wanted to clean it up and bring it back to original condition, it would clean right up with minimal effort. The chair is very solid and sturdy with no loose joints or screws. This is the most AMAZING old/new antique I have ever seen! This beautiful old chair was rescued from the attic of a decrepit old Victorian mansion near Seaside Park in Bridgeport. CT. The AMAZING THING is that every inch of this chair says NEW-except that it was found layered in very old dust and spider's webs even though it was underneath a dust cover! We had no clue at all to suggest that we would find what we did once the dust was washed away(it was too stuck on to be wiped) As' inch-by-inch of dust was removed, more-and-more sparkling NEW CHAIR was revealed! Once it was all cleaned up, only ONE THING REMAINED TO EXPOSE THE CHAIR'S TRUE AGE: while the lacquered finish had provided a great barrier of protection for the wood over the years, the salty sea air had had its way with the screws-EVERY ONE OF THE SCREWS HAD BEEN RUSTED ... moreENTIRELY INTO THE WOOD! Vintage Childs Rattan and Bamboo Bentwood Chair Rocker Here is a child's chair/rocker that I recently picked up at an auction. I think the wood is bamboo. But not sure, so you be the judge. Much of the chair screwed together with vintage screws and then has strapping around the joints to give it a nice look. The rattan back and seat are still intact. The chair is all together. But could use a little attention to tighten it all up again. Great twirls of the wood on the arms and on the back. No makers mark on the chair that I can see. The chair/rocker is 26-3/4" tall. By 13.5" across, by 30" wide. Someone really made the rocker end really long so that little one in your life was less likely to go for a spill!
