But as you can this has now worn off during time and only part remains. It is covered in yellow vinyl with red painted wooden frame and has brass tacks for attaching the vinyl upholstery. I can find no markings on this piece identifying the maker. Overall condition is good as shown with normal wear for this childrens daily use furniture piece. The original finish is still in tack showing wear worn– rub marks on its edges and other surface areas that should be able to be rejuvenated as opposed to refinished or perhaps just used the way it is… I believe the wood to be mahogany but I am not sure. The finish shows pretty much all of what started life on this rocker however one rocker does have some finish loss to the outside bottom portion of it… but overall this rocker has a nice natural patina… There are two screws that were added at some time in this rockers life to secure one of the rockers.
