ANTIQUE LENOX PORCELAIN PITCHER LID STERLING OVERLAY FLOWERS ART NOUVEAU
Description: This auction is for an antique Art Nouveau Lenox hard porcelain flowered sterling overlay pitcher with lid. The Lenox mark on the bottom was first used in 1906. the mark of the silver maker is on the bottom as well. The pitcher is marked sterling on the side under the handle near the bottom. The pitcher measures approximately 7 1/2 inches tall to the top of the lid. The base 4 inches wide, the width from handle to side 5 inches. The pitcher is in good condition for it's age; no repairs. But there are two hairlines, one at the bottom of the handle's right side& another to the left bottom side of the handle. The hairlines are both smooth to the touch. There is one small rough area that looks like some sterling or glue, when you look at the photo#8 you may notice, or not, near the top middle of the flowers. It is not ... morea chip& there is one other area on the handle that appears to be a loss of sterling rather than a chip. There is one small black dot under the handle that appears to have been caused in the making. Just covering all the bases, this is a rare find& a beautiful piece. The sterling could use a good cleaning. Please make sure prior to bidding that you have read the description. MMA JONQUIL Daffodil Parian Ware Pitcher Vase Metropolitan Museum Art Nouveau
MMA JONQUIL Daffodil Parian Ware Pitcher Vase Metropolitan Museum Art Nouveau. Click picture to enlarge click picture to enlarge Description This Parian Ware porcelain pitcher is a MMA late 20th century reproduction. Parian ware is an unglazed high-quality porcelain developed by Copeland& Garrett in England in the early 1840s. Its look was developed to resemble white marble. Parian ware was also made during the 19th century in Bennington Vermont by United States Pottery Company. The high relief design of jonquils and arching leaves is inspired by an original parian pitcher in the collection of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. Stands about 8 3/4" tall. No box. CONDITION: Preowned item. 20 years old at most. It looks great but please expect that there are some minor signs of use if you are looking really closely, like ... moresmall stain marks or a faint smudge- all very typically of unglazed wares. It is a little dirty deep in the interior from use(probably from use as a vase) Shelf wear/stain on underside of base as shown in photo. I see one little mark on the top of the handle as shown in photo. With a 25x loupe, it looks like a small circle- so perfectly round that my best guess is that is as made, perhaps a kiln mark. Next to the circle, I can see two tiny marks- maybe little scratches or as made. Beautiful Antique Art Nouveau Victorian Pitcher Great Floral Design
This auction is for a Striking Pitcher designed with an Art Nouveau floral pattern. This piece Displays Wonderfully. It is not marked so I am not certain of the maker. Origin or exact age of the piece. But it was discovered at a recent estate sale of an avid collector of Haynes Pottery and other wares manufactured in Baltimore. Maryland in the late 1800s and early 1900s. Given the form and style, I believe it was made by Haynes Chesapeake Pottery in that era. It is beautifully made and designed. The upper portion is a high glaze and the lower section is a matte. Soft yellow finish with an art nouveau floral pattern in brown, purple and gold. The piece is in good condition. Especially for its age. There are no chips or cracks. The designs and coloring are clear. There is some age appropriate loss of the gold accent lines and crazing. As is ... moreexpected from pieces of this vintage. It only adds to the character of the set. There are minor scuff marks on the body that might come out with a good cleaning. It doesn’t detract from the overall appeal of this lovely piece. The pitcher measures about 11 inches tall. Please check my other auctions. I am selling other vintage ceramic pieces. And will combine shipping whenever possible. Also check my feedback and buy with confidence. I only ship within the contiguous US and only accept PayPal. Pennsylvania buyers pay 6 percent sales tax.

There was a gradually transition at Wilkinson from the more traditional Victorian motifs of the late 1900s to the bold Art Deco designs of Clarice Cliff of the 1930s. It is interesting to note that Clarice Cliff came to Wilkinson in 1916 when she was only 17 years old. Her interesting drawings brought her to the attention of the owner of Wilkinson and he let her experiment on some old stock blanks. By 1927. She was off studying in London and Paris. She then returned to Wilkinson and by 1929, her designs went into full production and the Wilkinson marks were changed to include her name. Some of her designs, like Firs, are known for their'stylized glimpses of the natural world' These poppies, with their deco style stems, are likely a precursor of the designs to come. PLEASE NOTE: I have a few additional pieces from this chamber set that. As of this writing, are

Stellmacher Jug Turn Teplitz Art Nouveau Floral & Butterflies Pitcher Austria
FEATURED for SALE is ANOTHER Great ESTATE ITEM Brought to you by Zaffir Antiques& Decorative Arts Featured is a extrodinaire pitcher jug form enameled with butterflies& stylized flowers on a cream background. Enclosed by gilt jewelling on an underglaze blue band on the handle, foot& rim. stamped on the bottom in gold gilt stellmacher mark& decorators mark, Made in Austria" 6" h. Manufacture located in Turn-Teplitz. Bohemia(now the Czech Republic) the firm was founded in 1892 by Eduard Stellmacher, his brothers-in-law Hans and Karl Reissner, and Rudolf Kessel. They were together as a team from 1892-1905. Their mark reflected their names. Together, Turn, a neighboring village, and Teplitz constituted a pottery production center, which is why the words Turn-Teplitz often appear on the bottom of Amphora ceramics. During ... moreAmphoraâe(tm)s heyday, Bohemia formed part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, so Amphora pottery is sometimes considered Austrian. One reason for the success of Amphora and other Turn-Teplitz companies was the abundant supply of kaolin in nearby riverbeds. Kaolin clay is an essential ingredient of porcelain, first produced in China, but coveted in the West for centuries. Thanks to skilled designers like Eduard Stellmacher and Paul Dachsel, as well as a host of decorators from the Special Ceramics School of Teplitz, Amphora quickly developed a unique genre of Art Nouveau ceramics. What unified Amphoraâe(tm)s output was an unparalleled concern for fine design and glazing. The firmâe(tm)s stylistic diversity, combined with its unwavering standard of quality, made it a world leader among industrial manufacturers of art pottery. Check out my in my eBay! RARE ANTIQUE SIGNED D.HAMILTON POTTERY PITCHER ROOKWOOD 1939 ART NOUVEAU GIRL
Up for auction: A Signed Frederick Dallas Hamilton Road Pottery Pitcher. She has an Art Nouveau Face below her spout and a soft blue glaze. The glaze is almost a French Provencal Blue with darker blue speckles. She measures 9" tall x 8 1/2" wide. Her opening measures 4" wide x 5" long. She is signed/incised D. Hamilton 1939 on the bottom. This pottery factory. From what I learned doing research, had an early important rivalry with the founder of Rookwood Pottery, and many members of the Frederick Dallas Hamilton shop eventually went to work at Rookwood. From my research: In 1877 Storer figured out how to paint the porcelain under the glaze. And consequently became the first artist in the United States to implement the underglaze technique. Eventually other artists began utilizing this same technique. And in 1879 McLaughlin ... morefounded the Cincinnati Pottery Club. While it might seem logical that Storer would join the group. She declined an invitation to do so. This rivalry is likely what caused her to start Rookwood Pottery in the first place. Each member of the club had their pottery made at the Frederick Dallas Hamilton Road Pottery factory, and they would meet at the Women's Art Museum Association located on fourth street in downtown Cincinnati. Eventually the group moved their meeting to the Dallas shop when the association moved to Cincinnati Music Hall. When Rookwood Pottery was opened. Many of the workers from Frederick Dallas joined her team and effectively hindered some of the aspirations of McLaughlin and her group. In 1880 she published another work. This one titled Pottery Decoration under the Glaze. By this time the technique was already being implemented in other parts of the country. That following year Frederick Dallas died and his shop closed. Leaving McLaughlin and her club to rent a room at Rookwood Pottery. Who was born on July 11, 1821 and came into partnership with Adolf Baehr around 1841. Baehr had previously owned a factory in Pirna that produced ceramic wares and garden gnomes. The partnership became a family affair. It would be thirty-six years till Ferdinand takes over his fathers business, but till then the firm helped apprentice some of the more famous craftsmen, like Reinhold Hanke. He started his apprenticeship in 1853 and went on to establish a very important ceramic factory also. During the factory’s history they went by several names including: Johann Maresch Thon- und Stein- gutwaren fabric en Aussig and Johann Maresch Siderolith and Terracotta Fabrik. In 1890. Ferdinand takes over the firm. For nine years, he k

ANTIQUE PORCELAIN SYRUP PITCHER ART NOUVEAU PEWTER LID WHITE RAISED DOGWOOD
DESCRIPTION: A very unusual pitcher. Perhaps not for syrup as it is very large, but for milk or water at a table. The design is something akin to cottage, art nouveau style and is very lovely. The most peculiar feature though. Is the squared off top which has a beautiful, fully functioning squared off lid! I have collected syrup pitcher for years. And have NEVER seen anything like it. The raised design is lovely pink dogwood flowers and the leaves are several shades of bluish, yellowish greens. Clearly hand painted. Gold accents on raised filigree patterns. MEASUREMENTS: She stands 8.5" tall. 6" front to back and 4.25" wide. CONDITION: The porcelain is absolutely perfect. Not a chip. Crack or scratch on her. There are a few spots on the glaze, but close inspection reveals that they are touches of gold paint from the original ... moreartist and under the glaze, so not to be considered damage, but original features. The pewter lid is wonderfully functional with it's little porcelain thumb leaver, which works by sliding it up and down with your thumb. Antique England Copper Luster Art Nouveau ceramic Pitcher STAFFORDSHIRE? 7"
This piece is very interesting the glaze is more of a pinkish than copper don't know if this is because fading over the years it has chips on the bottom which show a base of a white clay then a bit of a bluish glaze with the copper pink overtop. On the inside is a white shiny glaze with blue undertones. There is a design on the pitcher it's unique to this style of pitcher it's an abstract squiggly type of pattern it has a very Art Nouveau look with this bohemian type pattern on the pinkish copper. Vase does have chips on bottom and inside part of handle there is some where on the glaze on the handle slight chip slight chip on the poor spout refer to photos this is a very unique piece of pottery still beautiful. 1850-1899 White and Green Art Nouveau Ceramic Bowl and Pitcher. Erie England
Large antique water pitcher and bowl from the last half of the 1800's. This has it's influence from the art nouveau movement. Likely from between 1870 to 1890 when the movement had become well established in Europe. The pattern is art nouveau and is in dark green. I am unsure as to whether it is transfer or hand painted. There are fingerprint smudges in green under the glaze of the bowl. The pitcher and bowl have embossed design also with art nouveau influence. The bowl is heavily glazed and has three stress cracks yet is sturdy. The pitcher has much less crazing and I couldn't find cracks. There are no chips in either piece. The bottoms of both pieces are marked Erie England 15" diameter bowl 5 1/4" high bowl 11 1/4" high pitcher 9 1/2" handle to spout

Very similar to early Lenox Mauser pieces, but has no hallmarks except what look like two T's perpendicular to one another. Obviously a nice early piece. 5.25" tall; bottom diameter 3 5/8" top diameter 2.75"
