Antique Vintage Mexico Southwest Native American Pottery Clay Pitcher Vase Pot
Up for auction is a very large Mexican Pitcher from an estate sale. It is made of clay and looks quite primitive. Measures about 14" tall and 8" wide. For reference. The paint is very good. No major chips or missing paint(please keep in mind it is VERY old- it does not look new) Handle has a flattened style with a stripe running down it. Front and back has desert scenes. It is very rustic and has a natural. Earthy look. Please check pictures carefully. IF you would like more. Please email. I cannot accept returns on this item due to high cost of shipping. It is being sold as is. Again, it has several small imperfections but has no breaks or cracks, ... moreetc. It is very pretty and generally nice for age. US shipping to lower 48 only. This piece is fragile as it does not appear to have been fired- This will need to be shipped"double" boxed- that is a box inside a box. With lots of extra bubble wrap and cushioning. Antique Early Transfer Ware Clay Pitcher English Or American? Signed 'WE'
For your consideration here is a most interesting antique blue and white transfer ware pitcher about 8" tall. It had been used as a flower pot at some point. It is only a guess at this stage but it seems to resemble early English pottery and on the base is back stamp WE almost like a monogram(see picture) Stains are quite apparent yet there are no cracks chips or repairs. In one picture it looks like a crack but glaze covers it without a break. Thanks for looking. Posted with 1.RcmdId ViewItemDescV4,RlogId p4%60bo7%60jtb9%3Fuk.rp73%28b0g%60%60%3E1-14380467f68-0xf2-

ANTIQUE *Victorian Pottery~Pitcher-Creamer* Hand Painted *American Eagle* Design
If you buy 2 or more items. You will get 50% OFF next item's combined shipping cost. THIS AUCTION IS FOR Antique Handcrafted Pottery Victorian Pitcher ~ American Eagle Design. This unique and beautiful piece would make a great addition to American Antique Pottery Collection. But it also has a Historical Significance. The pitcher is hand made with amazing detail throughout. It is painted in cobalt blue on white background. The underside is marked with a green number"10152" This item has gorgeous embossed Victorian designs. Both sides have the American Bald Eagle with the Shield. And an Olive Branch above the Eagle. The eagle's right talon is clutching arrows. And the left talon holding an olive branch. The arrows represent war. While the olive branch represents power and peace. There are 13 stars around the bald eagle. Which ... morerepresent the original 13 colonies. This unique pottery piece is in excellent antique condition. The measurements are: 5 1/2" tall x 4 1/2" wide w. handle x 2 1/4" base diameter and 2 3/4" top opening. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ What is interesting. Is that last century the American seal was changed, so that the eagle's head is facing the right talon holding the olive branches(peace) And not the arrows(war) meaning that we prefer peace. On this pottery piece. The bald eagle is facing the right talon clutching the arrows(war) which means that this item was made in the 1800's. Before the seal was changed. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Please check the images. They are part of the description. I charge the same shipping cost to all Continental US Buyers. Thank you for looking. Please check my other listings. P

Rare antique mid1800s American made relief molded stoneware "Willie" jug/pitcher
We are listing this rare antique relief molded stoneware"Willie" jug from the mid 1800s. Which has an American maker's cartouche on the bottom(which I have not been able to identify) The jug is named after Robert Burn's poem of the same name, and each side of the jug shows Willie and two friends sitting and drinking together. It also has a twisted rope handle, a tree on the front and back, and a band of leaves around the neck. The cartouche on the bottom features a lion, shield(with stars and stripes) mounted by an eagle, and a unicorn. During the mid 1800s many American potters included the lion and unicorn(common Staffordshire pottery symbols) in their marks to imply an English-level of quality, but the shield and eagle make this a definite American piece(much less common than English pottery from the same time period) ... moreThe jug is 5.5 inches tall, almost 5 inches at its widest point, and has a very rustic looking finish with lots of color specks coming through. It appears the handle may have been off and put back on(or else it was roughly applied to begin with) there is a small flake off the bottom of the coat on one of the drinkers, and there are several very small mars to the finish which are hard to distinguish from the color specks coming through. We have included close up pictures of the handle and the missing flake. A rare old American piece with a nice country look to it. We can currently only accept bids on this from the United States. The United Kingdom, and Canada. Shipping to the United Kingdom and Canada will be charged at cost. Payment must be made by Paypal within three days of the auction ending. Antique American pitcher w/ Cranes, Chrysanthemums by Edwin Knowles of WV
Up for auction is an antique pitcher with an Asian inspired theme of Cranes and Chrysanthemums with Imari red accents. The pitcher was actually made in the USA by Edwin M Knowles of West Virginia in the early 20th century. It stands just under 9” tall and has a capacity of about 56 floz( 7cups) This pitcher has been well used. So does have some condition issues. There are chips in the spout, it is heavily crazed and suffers from brown staining throughout the body. There is some wear on decoration on the rim, and a little glaze loss on the top Crane. Please use the zoom feature for more details. Photos have been taken from all sides for optimal viewing. Despite the damage, this pitcher has no cracks in the body, so is still watertight and pours perfectly!
