Antique Rockingham/ Bennington Glazed Yelloware Type Kitchen Milk Jug
Antique Rockingham/ Bennington Glazed Yelloware Type Kitchen Milk Jug ATTENTION I ship ALL fragile things PRIORITY MAIL INSURED ONLY which I offer at cost. Its is more expensive but worth it for your and my protection as EXPERIENCE has shown this to be the safest way to ship fragile items. The cost between Priority and Parcel Post under 5 pounds is insignificant. If over 10 pounds I generally ship UPS as safest way to go. This is for an antique rockingham flint enamel glazed yelloware milk pitcher. This was clearly a much used and"loved" pitcher given the wear and chipping around the top and the discoloration on the bottom. No cracks though so should still serve well much as it did 100 years ago. Nice bit of American heritage in this piece. It is 6" high and 5 1/2" in diameter at the bottom. Enjoy browsing and good luck! ... moreThis ships for 4 pounds USPS Priority shipping and the S&H includes insurance. There ARE NO charges for packing and wrapping but are always just the shipping charges. If I miss the weight it comes out of MY pocket not yours. People STILL keep hitting me down in on the shipping in feedback which is a mystery to me as I OFTEN ship Priority which is a bit more expensive but on fragile items much more likely to arrive in one piece. THESE COSTS ARE FOR YOUR PROTECTION! Please understand that. This item may weigh out as much as 15 ounces less than the indicated weight BUT the USPS rounds UP the weight to the greatest pound over that additional ounce. This is true whether Priority or Parcel Post- this is NOT my doing. I spend a lot on bubble wrap and am glad to offer it for FREE but am at a loss as to why I am being consistently down rated on the cost of the postage and handling which I have NO control over. International buyers must pay with Pay Pal. Please note that all Internationally shipped packages will go out Priority International shipping with default insurance included with additional coverage over $66 available. Antique Flint Glazed or Rockingham Covered Pottery Pitcher or Coffeepot
I'm describing this piece to the best of my ability but I am not a pottery expert. From my research this may or may not be from Bennington Potters in Vermont. Apparently they often have an embedded date on the bottom but this date often becomes saturated with glaze which can make it nearly impossible to read. This piece has something on the bottom. I can make out a number 8 but can't make out anything else. The glaze is a mottles brown mustard and rust color. The part that is solid brown is smooth while the mottled part is not. That part looks like it might be salt glazed. From top to bottom this coffeepot measures about 6" And from spout to handle it measures about 8" The opening is about 4"

Click Here. Double your traffic. Get Vendio Gallery- Now FREE! This ROCKINGHAM BROWN GLAZED MUSTARD JUG WITH LETTERS F. P. F. Early Rockingham Style glazed Toby Jug Good Luck Unsigned 8" Tall
Measurements• Height 8" Width 3-1/2" I don't know what to say about this Toby it shows a little wear on the bottom and has an interesting rockingham style glaze. He's an angery looking fellow with an Asian feel. I've been buying and selling antiques for a very lon g time and have never seen this Toby- or one like it. That doesn't mean much I suppose there's a lot I haven't seen and that's what keeps me doing this. Condition's perfect. E-Mail Us If you follow our auctions. You know that we're pretty active on Ebay and have a really good reputation for delivering quickly, never overselling& offering good value. Our primary strength is post 1940 design. We can't guarantee we can answer all your questions- but you're always welcome to ask. More About Us• Two Decades of Great Style& ... moreReliability We've been selling to top museums. Designer s& collectors for more than 20 years. You can buy from dexterdoggie. With confidence that you're going to get top quality, superior service, fair and honest descriptions and best of all, great prices. A Little About Shipping We like to ship quickly. And generally ship in USA by priority mail. We don't use shipping as a profit center. Usually we're happy not to take a beating. We do have to buy shipping supplies. So we sometimes factor in a few pennies to cover that. International Buyers Are Welcome Shippping overseas costs more(but you probably already know that) Bidders from outside the U.S. are welcome to participate. In addition. Please consider shipping charges ahead of time. Particularly on winter woolens. Usually I will look for the most efficient. Inexpensive, and quickest way to get the item to you. But, we only use International Air Mail from the US Postal Service. We recently acquired some very lightweight plastic mailing envelopes which will help keep shipping costs down.

rare 20th century large rockingham glazed ceramic Persian cat figurine
This auction is for a 20th century large ceramic Persian cat figurine. Decorated in a beautiful, rare rockingham glaze and glass eyes. This piece has a small chip to its base and damage to its right ear as well as to the crown of its head which has been painted or restored quite nicely at some point in its past. I have encountered many of these Persian cat figurines over the years but this is the only one that I have ever been remotely tempted to purchase. I believe this to be an" END OF THE DAY" piece, decorated by an employee to take home. The glaze is so stunning on this feline that it elevates this piece into the realm of folk art, rather than just another of the more common white glazed examples. This piece has a crack in the clay on its base, as many of these Persian cat figurines do. I think that it is simply a result of ... moreits large size and the heat within the kiln. Not damage. Unlike many of the other Persian cats of this type, this piece has a base that is not glazed. This beautiful and unique piece measures 14" high.

Usually the spout is a mess but this one is free of any cracks. Chips or repairs. Even the handle is attached firmly with no damage either! Notice the great detail on this old antique? Lots of heavy relief in the scenes as well as the spout and handle. Tons of shine left too. There is a very tight very old hairline(or may be just crazing? on the bottom. You can see this in the photos. It is water tight though but I would not recommend using it as it could damage it. The lid is not original but it will be included as it looks nice with it. GLAZED REDWARE Partial Tea Service Fox Hunt Scene ROCKINGHAM? NORTH CAROLINA?
Very Unusual Redware Partial Tea/Coffee Service consisting of covered sugar bowl. Creamer and four cups All pieces have figural fox handles and are decorated with pheasants and what I believe to be tobacco leaves in relief. Which leads me to believe that these may be from North Carolina. Or from England. It's really hard to tell. Sugar bowl measures 5 1/4" from handle to handle x 3 1/4" deep x 4 1/2" to the top of the lid Creamer measures 4 3/8" tall x 3 3/4" from handle to rim Cups measure approximately 2 1/4" tall x 3 1/2" from handle to rim(no two are exactly alike) Minor rim chips and a couple of chips to the relief work but I believe these to be 19th century so it's to be expected. Lg Vintage Brown Glazed Stoneware Pottery Pitcher Bennington or Rockingham?
FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION Large Vintage Brown Glazed Stoneware Pottery Pitcher- Bennington/Rockingham? N ot quite sure-if you know please email me- I'd appreciate it) Beer Barrel Style with Impressed Design This pitcher is in fantastic condition having a barrel shape with impressed design. There are just a few minor nicks that are not detrimental in anyway to the showing of this pitcher. There are no cracks or crazing. The pitcher weighs 3 lbs 12 oz so it will be packed very carefully for shipment. Measurement is not quite 8" H x 5" W at the opening of the pitcher. It is approx. 19" round. Pix#3 shows 2 nicks on the bottom; pix#6 shows 1 on the lip of the spout; pix#7 shows 2 on the piece spanning the spout and. Pix#8 shows nicks and/or missed glazing. I try to capture the imperfections so you are aware but sometimes it would ... morejust be easier to say- it is vintage and of course it has some wear. I like my buyers to know it is not perfect but close to it. I tried looking up what I interpreted the name/company on the label would be but I had no luck in locating. The man that owned this previously said it was his mothers and she never used it; she just had it for show. I believe him since there are no signs of wear on the interior whatsoever. Thanks for viewing and good luck. All items are packed in bubble wrap to arrive safely at your home. I make every effort to describe each item as accurately as possible and provide the best photos I can take. I weigh each item and offer you two choices of shipping. Payment is expected within three days after winning the bid. Please leave feedback since I take the time to leave feedback for my buyers. Any questions please contact me- I want happy buyers.

Early English Spirit Flask Rockingham glazed with female figure each side
Early Spirit Flask English Possibly Rockingham Glazed Flask with female figures on each side. Queen Victoria and Duchess of Kent. The flask has a brown glaze just on the top portion and the rest of the flask is cream pottery. I think the entire flask should be glazed but for some reason was not completed. There are no pottery marks. There is a chip on the base that can be seen in photo. And a chip on the nose on the photo on the Duchess of Kent. There is a similar flask in the GDL auction of the Newcastle National Bottle show weekend. Friday June 27th. Flask is 8 1/2" tall. Base is 3 1/2" up to 5" taper. I also saw reference by Bourne Denby which list a stoneware flask with Victoria and Duchess of Kent same dimensions 8 1/2" x 5" In any case this is an early English Stonewear.

Nice early 1800s Rockingham glazed sprigged and decorated stoneware mug
We are listing this nice early 1800s Georgian Rockingham glazed and extensively decorated stoneware mug. It has a classical mythology sprig on the front(very uncommon for Rockingham pieces) Beautiful flower basket sprigs on each side and bands of beading and engine-turning around the rim. The mug is almost 4 inches tall, 5.5 inches at its widest point, and displays well. However the handle has been off and is glued back on(you can see the hairlines across the top and bottom sections) and the front has been banged up a little(a flake of the sprig is off, a flake of the glaze is off inside the rim, and there are some small rubbed high spots as well) The glaze tends to hide the flaws at a distance, and this is a well made piece, but flawed on closer inspection(as reflected in the beginning price) Please view the close up pictures and judge for ... moreyourself. We can currently only accept bids on this from the United States. The United Kingdom, and Canada. Shipping to the United Kingdom and Canada will be charged at cost. Payment must be made by Paypal within three days of the auction ending. Be sure to check out our other current and upcoming auctions of hundreds of antique and vintage objects in glass. Pottery, porcelain, silver, etc.

Matching pair of late 1800s Rockingham glazed yellow ware Nesting Hen coin banks
We are listing this matching pair of late 1800s American Rockingham glazed yellow ware Nesting Hen(on a woven basket) coin banks. A similar example of this bank in shown on page 71 of the Collector's Guide to Yellow Ware. Book II. The banks are each almost 4 inches tall, almost 4.5 inches long, and nicely glazed. Considering the fate of most old pottery banks(since you had to break them to get the money out) they are in very good condition. One does have a small crack/flake out of one side of its tail and a larger flake of glaze off the other side of its tail(and a small flake of glaze off its bottom rim) and the other feels a little rough at the tip of its tail and has some small globs of clay under the glaze- but these are great collector and decorator pieces. Please view the close up pictures and judge for yourself. It is rare to find ... morea matching pair of these.

Striking late 1800s American Rockingham glazed yellow ware cuspidor/spittoon
We are listing this very striking late 1800s Rockingham glazed yellow ware cuspidor or spittoon. Besides being beautifully glazed. The piece is decorated with a band of sea shells, which is very unusual for this type of item. The piece is almost 3.5 inches tall, almost 7.5 inches across, and in good condition for a piece of functional pottery well over 100 years old. There are some small chips out of the bottom rim(which can't be seen from the side) a tiny flake at the bottom of the hole in the side, a hairline(and associated tiny flakes) which goes from the side hole over the top and down to the center hole, another hairline(and associated tiny flakes) which goes from the top rim down to the center hole, and a couple of tiny flakes on the outside below the shell decorations. All this sounds like a lot, but it can only be seen very close ... moreup, and has no effect on the structural integrity or decorative display of this very unique antique American spittoon. Please view the close up pictures and judge for yourself. We can currently only accept bids on this from the United States. The United Kingdom, and Canada. Shipping to the United Kingdom and Canada will be charged at cost. Payment must be made by Paypal within three days of the auction ending.
