Wow! This is such a beautiful brass french style pediment! I was told it was salvaged from a late 1800's fireplace screen or cover? It has the lovely crest in the center that adds such an elegant french look! I've shown several ways it can be brought in to your decor. But you will have fun coming up with your own ideas! I think it would be amazing placed on the woodwork over the door, but we are currently selling our home so no new holes. ANTIQUE HAND CARVED OAK WOOD 18th 19th Century VINTAGE FURNITURE ARCHITECTURAL PEDIMENT An incredible. Hand carved, antique furniture or architectural pediment from the 1700's to early 1800's. The wood appears to be oak but I'm not positive. It still has that wonderful old patina to the wood. It measures approximately 23" long x about 11 1/2" high and the thickest part of the wood is about 2" at each end with the flowers) The wood is split down the middle of the wreath, there are some chips(or missing) to the leaves that stick out on the sides, and there is part of the ribbon missing above the wreath. There may be other spots of chipped wood, but nothing that noticeable. Despite the flaws, this is a very old hand carved wooden pediment to display and enjoy! It is still awesomely beautiful. Gorgeous Antique Victorian Era Cast Iron Architectural Pediment Fretwork Piece Busybusybusy treasure hunting week for you. I shopped at a closing antique store. Went to the flea market, and still have some items from the weeks ago farm estate auction- there’s lots of neat stuff that you don‘t want to miss! Oh-So one of my favorites this week- it's a gorgeous Victorian era antique cast iron architectural piece- a pediment or piece of fretwork from a home. Or perhaps a garden gate, I am not sure, as I just have the one, and cannot put the rest of the"peices" back together to see. I'm thrilled for the piece that I have, though- it is just so pretty in shape and design, and it looks just as good whether it's up like I have in photo 1 or up like I have it in my 23rd photo. It has a very old(probably multiple layers) finish ... moreof black paint, and you can see it's chippy, shabby and worn in many spots- and in most of those spots down to the iron underneath- and you can see a layer of dark surface rust where the metal is exposed. The rust spots are very old, surface only with no thick spots holes, etc. This piece is totally structurally sound and weighs a whopping 6 3/4 lbs. I'm showing you both front and back(if there is a difference, it seems the same on both sides to me as far as design) as well as both sides and top and bottom in my photos. On one short end and its sides(don't know if it's top or bottom- it's the top in most of my photos except 23) you can see where it looks like it was connected to a larger piece- see photos 11 and 16-17 for the side view of where it looks like it was separated, and photos 18-19 of that top where it looks like it was connected and separated. I cannot tell if it was cut or broken from its larger piece, as rough, not flat, but there's no jagged or sharp edges- see my photos. Photos 20& 21 show the other short end, where it's painted and I can see cast lines, so this end was not attached to anything back in the day. The piece measures

Antique 19c. Pediment Architectural Crown Walnut Wood Crest Salvage Cottage Chic
For auction. A 19th-century solid walnut pediment with deeply carved motif. It measures 19 1/2" across the base and about 9 1/2" wide(5 1/4" wide at center. The width is 3" across the top and 1" at the sides. This architectural salvage piece is covered with classical acanthus scrolls and a flower in the center. The wood finish does show lots of wear and there is an old repair on the leaf to the right of the flower, shown best in photo 3. There are two pegs for mounting it, both of which can be removed if desired. The back has a chip that looks like a wood knot broken off: it does not show from the front. Thanks for looking.

This MASSIVE early to middle 1700s continental European panel measures 19” x 15” x 2” thick and is crafted from hand hewn and mortise joined European elm or chestnut with pinned corners and ancient hand wrought nails. The outer frame is dry and scraped to wood while the center has very old. Layered paint history: the background is bittersweet and the carving is chipped gold. BRAUN COMPANY. https:archive.org/details/WroughtIronOrnaments From the above archive it appears they were created in the 1920's. Prior to this catalog that was published in 1928. The catalog shows this design and each piece is imprinted with the name of the company. They can be turned either way as the design is on both sides. They have been cut off at some point from whatever structure it was attached to and there the bare metal shows. Please see photos. Nice design of a rose and climbing leaves. Antique Architectural Salvage Pediment Hand Carved and Inlaid Floral Design
Description: Here is a gorgeous pediment that came from the estate of a well-to-do Hartford CT woman who loved to collect beautiful items. This item came from an upstairs storage closet with other antiques and architectural elements that the woman had bought in 1983 when she was planning on building a summer house on Long Island Sound. The invoice showed that she paid $450 for it over 30 years ago. Supposedly it had been carved and inlaid by a well known Connecticut carver but her niece could not remember who for sure. It appears to be carved from two layers of solid mahogany and then two pieces at either end appear to have been nicely inlaid with boxwood in a floral pattern. The carvings are deep and wonderfully done and you can even still see the chisel marks on the top edge which would not have been seen. The color and glow of the patina is just first rate as you can tell from looking at my photos. But held with the bracket. it can sit atop itself but can swing all the way down also. see all photos. each piece is a broken piece of the garden gate. can imagine the garden. must have been spectactular. there are four smaller pieces and two larger ones. the small ones measure between 19" and 13" tall. and just about 10 1/2" wide. the tallest one measures a tall 31" tall. just about 10 1/2" wide. the second tallest one is 24" tall. same width. the range in weight from 14 pounds to 6 pounds. they are just spectacular and can be used in so many ways. g

This amazing architectural piece is a panel from an antique carousel.Featuring tons of flowers and a lovely lady in a pink gown. It has graced my porch for a decade and I have no idea how many decades before that it graced an old time Merry-Go-Round. I would guess this is from the turn of the century give or take 20 years. I have never attempted to clean this but it could use it. There is a great deal of craqueleure but that is to be expected from age and the elements. It has some damage to the upper right corner as shown. The piece is very heavy and has 2 strong metal brackets that attached it to the carousel as well as screw eyes with wire to hang it on the wall with. It is an eye catching work of art from a bygone era and surely one of a kind. We are moving and unfortunately have no place for it at our new house. Superb Pair 19th c Antique Architectural Terra Cotta Glazed Blocks
Purchased many years ago and these have resided in my garden for years and also in my decorating inside. These are handsome terra cotta decorative blocks which measure 4 7/8” tall by 4" wide by 4 1/8" deep. They have an excellent creamy white glaze with lots of age crazing. The fronts have a geometric design and they came from a pre-1920 Chicago structure that was demolished. The left sides have a trellis design inset and the right sides have mold numbers of 670 over FK1. You will note chips in the glaze on corners and edges. There is residual mortar in the back and bottoms. The details are deeply rendered in pleasingly stylized manner and the surface has naturally weathered texture from a century in the elements. Set of Antique Architectural Salvage Terra Cotta - Building Garden - 65+ Pieces
Available here is a set of antique terra cotta. There are 66 pieces in total. These were salvaged from a building being torn down on the historic Troost Blvd here in Kansas City. I am unsure of the maker. But it was probably one of the many Chicago terra cotta companies. I believe these can be dated to the first quarter of the 20th century. I do not know how these were originally arranged on the building. But the possibilities for repurposing these are only limited by your imagination. They could be used in a garden as decorative pieces or could even be reused for their original purpose as a facade for your building or home. I've showcased them with a central arch, which could be a stunning entryway for the front down of your home. There are 22 pieces of the straight edged columns. They measure approximately 17" long x 5" wide ... moreand are about 6" thick. These are marked"2161" There are 12 pieces of the spiral columns. They measure approximately 14" long x 9" wide and are about 6" thick. These are marked"170 BC 3" There are also 2 more complete spiral columns that have broken into a few pieces. They could be put back together with the proper mortar. There are 6 pieces of the small curved arches. They measure approximately 11" long x 6" wide and are about 5.5" thick. These are marked"170 AC 3" There are 7 pieces of larger curved arches. They measure approximately 14" long x 6" wide and are about 5.5" thick. These are also marked"170 AC 3" There are 2 matching pieces with the curved finial. These are approximately 12" wide and 17-20" long. The large center headstone measures approximately 26"x19" and is 8.5" tall. There are 15 other pieces that I couldn't use when I set these up for the photos or are fragmented. Everything is pictured though. I've shown a yard stick in a number of pictures to try and reference the size of these pieces. There are enough curved pieces to set up a circle

Antique Architectural Salvage Victorian Oak Wood Pediment Carved Burl 35.5" Arch
Beautiful Oak Pediment with carved leaves and burl embellishments. Also Eastlake spoon type carving on the ends that also have a hint of the Art Nouveau look! There is a arch in the middle that shows that it is attached with dowels. Not nails. Also the top(or could be the bottom if you like) has a ledge that is 1 5/8" wide. The piece measures 35.5" long and is 6" tall. I believe this came from an antique buffet or some other piece of furniture. There is hardware in the back. So it is ready to attach it to your wall. Description This is a great piece that was salvaged from a Philadelphia Victorian Home. It was originally part of a piece of furniture. It is made of walnut and is unpainted. There is a wonderful carved crest along the top. There are heavy raised molding at the top and along the bottom. The body has carvings in the middle and an applied raised panel at the left side. There was a panel on the right side also but it is missing. It measures 39.5 inches wide by 23 tall. It is 4 inches deep. Overall it is in good condition. There are misc. scratches and dings as it is antique. It could use a good cleaning but should clean up nicely. The carved piece in the middle is faced with burled walnut veneer. Early 1900's walnut pediment. From the top of a mirror. Or bed, possibly from over a door or window. Solid walnut. And walnut burl. 51" long 18" height 2" cove moulding extends out from wall: 6" Beautiful ogee cove moulding. Separate key centerpiece with carved detailing. The bottom is flat. Has no wooden pegs or holes. Will not stand on its own. It is top heavy from the centerpiece that extends outward. Condition consistent with age. Some areas of faint discoloration, one swirl piece missing. See left of key detailing, photo#1. One tiny corner piece missing on the moulding corner return. Only visible from the underside of piece.
