This piece is very heavy. Made of solid fir and all blocks are complete and fully intact and there is no rot whatsoever. They have an aged original white painted patina and finish and these are absolutely beautiful and very rare! This is some of the best dentil molding we have ever had due to the size. The deep roof overhang and the roof always being well maintained. These were removed from a residence built in 1855 and was the very first masonry residence ever built in Dekalb county. IL. Up for your consideration we have this beautiful window pediment from a WV home. It is a salvaged item and does have some imperfections such as quite a few worm holes or nail holes. It measures about 7.5" tall. 42.5" long and 1.5" thick at the piece of wood that goes across the top. This is a beautiful salvage piece that has never been painted. It has ornate carved designs applied to it on each end and a wreath design in the center. This is a wonderful hand carved panel or decorative pediment style piece. I do not know the exact age. But I know it was part of an old English Manor home that was deconstructed. Its' paneling and other"Old English" architectural elements were applied to a home in Kansas City Missouri. This is an extra piece that was not used in the home. It measures approximately 20" in length by about 6 3/4" at its' widest width and is 1" thick. There is a modern hanger attached to the back-as it has been hung for decoration. ANTIQUE HAND CARVED WOOD ARCHITECTURAL FRETWORK -FROM AN ENGLISH MANOR HOME
For your consideration is a marvelous hand carved wooden architectural piece from England. A gentleman in Kansas City Missouri brought over carved panels and fretwork from England(apparently one or more deconstructed Old Manor homes) and applied them to his own unique home. It was like stepping back in history! This particular piece(most likely due to the breakage) was a leftover that was not used in his home. It is approximately 13 3/4" by 8" by 3/4" at the longest widths. It is roughly carved and has a whimsical quality. The wood has been stained dark-almost an ebony. But I could not say for sure if it was truly"ebonized" at any time. I do not know the age, but I do know it is very old. At least 100+ years(minimal) I would guess it much older than that, but I have no way of knowing. This piece looks lovely by itself, ... morebut could be creatively re-purposed! ANTIQUE WOOD GESSO ARCHITECTURAL CROWN MOLDING MOULDING 100 YEAR OLD MOULDING
Original antique gesso and wood architectural moulding from the turn of the century. The moulding measures 1 3/4 inches wide. There are 9 pieces and their lengths are: 48. 48, 36, 34, 29, 34, 28, 26 and 16 inches. The moulding has a flat wood back and the gesso design on the front has a crown moulding style. The moulding has been well kept and the gesso is not damaged and has good designs. The moulding has a slot in the wood on the top of the moulding. I believe this is architectural moulding and not picture frame stock because the slot in the wood is not correct for picture frames. It has no offset. The gesso design has a nice scalloped bottom edge and is quite handsome. Very old, probably 100 year old moulding that you do not see often in this quantity. I believe there is near 25 feet here.
