Maybe the North Wind) Each face measures about 14 inches tall by 17 inches wide and is 4 ½ inches deep. I don’t know the age or origin of these pieces. They have some minor damage– missing pieces. Note one has a short side to his mustache. The wormhole wood is often European in origin. These would be great for loads of decoration ideas. ANTIQUE SALVAGED VICTORIAN EMBOSSED COPPER OVER WOOD ~WINDOW VALANCE PEDIMENTS~
~ Two Antique Copper/Brass Window Valances ~ I recently brought these charming antique valences home from a wonderful original late 1800's homestead estate ~ It was classic Victorian from top to bottom and boy.What fun we all had.it was so hard to leave! Each valance is 58" long and made from a 1" thick plank that's beveled on one side similar to crown molding. Then covered with thin 15" x 4 1/4" lengths of deeply embossed/raised relief copper.carefully matched& fastened by copper tacks At first I thought perhaps it was a colored tin. But seeing that the underside has the same coppery tone(only slightly brighter) I'm thinking it's copper or a copper/brass mix Love the touches of old blue rust on the well-aged patina! Originally padded and wrapped with fabric beneath the copper. There are only tiny remnants ... morenow. It is a dark wood either from stain or natural, not sure of the wood type or age, there is a metal piece put on the back for hanging. Antique Carved Wood Overdoor. Pediment Animal Forms: first of all this piece was hard to photograph as it is supposed to sit under the soffit of an armoire or mantle. It can also be used as an overdoor or pediment. The hand carved piece is made of dark hardwood, possibly mahogany. The entire piece is carved and has a bat like shape in the middle and two reclining animals on either side. The piece has been around for well over 100 years and has some minor abrasions in the front and nail holes in the top and back. Measurements are: 51 1/4" by 4 3/4" highest point and 3/4" thick.

1800s GOTHIC VICTORIAN CHURCH WOOD TRACERY WINDOW
This is an architectural salvage piece I bought from an estate of a longtime collector. It is 32" H. 33"W and 4 1/4" Deep. It is a bit of a fantasy piece as the true window was open at the bottom, like a inverted V. this would have been only the top portion. Near this window there were some additional pieces of the same structure and wood. I was able to piece them together to enclose the bottom. There were very few scraps, and all but a few inches were put to use. The seams were filled with glue and sawdust from the pieces. I've taken pictures of the joints so you can see it is not perfect, but it has a nice architectural charm. I think the whole looks to the unknowing eye like it was always this way. As I said, this makes it a bit of a fantasy piece, but it also makes it one of a kind. Piece retains it's original finish, ... moretouched up in aforementioned spots. It's heavy and is going to need good packing. I'm charging a nominal $50.00 shipping and packing, and I'm sure it will be more, but that's ok. I'll gladly refund if less.

This week we have this gorgeous Antique/Vintage wall or Window panel. This piece is intricatly hand carved in a leaf and honeycomb motif. It is also hand painted. I am not sure what this originaly was from but there are three pieces of metal(brass. I believe) hardware fittings on the back three corners of the piece. I do not think it was a door but it could have been a fixed piece some how. It is a very heavy piece made out of solid hardwood. I think it may be teak or walnut. It is in excellent condition and measures 22" x 31" and is 3/4" thick. ANTIQUE HAND CARVED WOOD ARCHITECTURAL FRETWORK -FROM AN ENGLISH MANOR HOME
For your consideration is a marvelous hand carved wooden architectural piece from England. A gentleman in Kansas City Missouri brought over carved panels and fretwork from England(apparently one or more deconstructed Old Manor homes) and applied them to his own unique home. It was like stepping back in history! This particular piece(most likely due to the breakage) was a leftover that was not used in his home. It is approximately 13 3/4" by 8" by 3/4" at the longest widths. It is roughly carved and has a whimsical quality. The wood has been stained dark-almost an ebony. But I could not say for sure if it was truly"ebonized" at any time. I do not know the age, but I do know it is very old. At least 100+ years(minimal) I would guess it much older than that, but I have no way of knowing. This piece looks lovely by itself, ... morebut could be creatively re-purposed! Superb Pierced Carved Wood Pediment Crest 28 inch
This fanciful carved wood pediment/crest is 28-3/4" x 7" x 1/2" It has a tasteful gray color wash finish. There is a small void near the bottom center where a wood knot was partially filled. This is another item consigned by a furniture and design company that went out of business in the 1990's. Some pieces were removed from furniture that was in disrepair other pieces were left over stock from architectural design projects.

Antique Walnut Furniture Wood Carved Door Pediment 50" x 7" Fleur de Lis Design
Beautifully carved Walnut Furniture Door Pediment. This has been in my private collection for over 20 years. I call this my"French Fleur de Lis" Pediment since it has a similar design. Hangs great over doors or as an attachment to other furniture. Pediment is in great shape for it's age. Solid without repairs. Wood has a nice smooth matte sheen. I only use lemon oil to preserve the nature wood finish. Conditions: Wood damage on the back(Photos# 8#9) Small crack on top(10) Neither of which detach from it's wonderful craftsmanship. Rare Antique 1800s Victorian Embossed Tin Over Wood 39" Window Valance Pediments
This is a very rare find its three sections of embossed gilded tin over wood. They overlap to make it look like it's one long piece. It dates back to the Victorian days and is approx. 391/2" long and about 5"high. I bent back a couple sections so you can see what it looks like under the paint. Beautiful Antique Victorian Tiger Oak Pediment Very unique Tiger Oak Pediment. I call this my Sea Serpent Pediment since it reminds me of a deep sea creature. This pediment has some of the most unusual characteristics I have ever seen. The header has a wonderfully carved serpentine top. There are very ornate side carvings, and then those round metal grommets all along the pediment. Looks almost Medieval or Gothic with that Victorian twist.
