WE are"antique" now and need to pass these treasures on to someone younger who can do them justice in a home. They could be incorporated into other areas, but I imagine were intended to be PEDIMENTS over big windows and/or doors way back when. Please study the photos to see just what you would be getting. They are both quite sturdy. But could use refinishing and reinforcing. There is a small area of very OLD termite damage as shown on one of them, but otherwise all there, not damaged. a LOCAL sale(Austin, Tx area) would be ideal, of course, so you could inspect them personally. But WILLING to ship to other areas so long as you understand they are very OLD antiques, NOT reproductions in perfect condition. You should NOT be disappointed in them, as they are pretty amazing. Great Aunt Euphania bought this in the market in Lima. Peru a f ew years ago and as with so many things she"had plans" for it. N ot surprisingly her plans changed and so this gradually worked it's way to the closet and has emerged for someone on ebay to enjoy. Looks antique but probably isn't very old. Appears hand carved but we are not certain. Not sure of the type of wood, weighs less than 12 oz so not to heavy to deal with. Measures about 1 8" across and 9" from top to bottom and is about half an inc h thick. Has a tiny chip on one piece that sticks out and another small s pot towards the top of the back. Naturally this is a rustic piece and would not be expected to be perfect. Com pared to what else we see on ebay it seems th at this would give you a lot of bang for your buck. Antique Walnut Furniture Wood Pediment Door Window Architecture Crown 50" x 7"
Beautifully carved Walnut Furniture Door Pediment. This has been in my private collection for over 20 years. I call this my"French Fleur de Lis" Pediment since it has a similar design. Hangs great over doors or as an attachment to other furniture. Pediment is in great shape for it's age. Solid without repairs. Wood has a nice smooth matte sheen. I only use lemon oil to preserve the nature wood finish. Conditions: Wood damage on the back(Photos# 8#9) Small crack on top(10) Neither of which detach from it's wonderful craftsmanship. Both are hardly visible when hung since they are on the backside and top. Small holes in back to hang& small holes on each end to attach to furniture. Pediment measures 50" Long by Almost 7" Tall by Almost 1" Deep. Home is smoke and pet free so your pediment will arrive clean. ... morePest and critter free. I have tons of pediments in my collection that I will selling in the next couple of months, the larger ones for pickup only in the Chicago Market. Antique Victorian Wood House Fretwork Architectural Salvage Cut Out Design Listed is a circa 1890's salvaged two sided exterior wood architectural fretwork. Removed from a Victorian house in Central New York. I did not attempt to clean this item. Just the way it is when removed. The old paint on both sides looks like the color mocha cream. There is some paint chipping and great old paint crackle. On the right top edge there is a saw mark and the old pine wood has a very slight bow. Dimensions 11 3/4" tall. 22 1/2 1/2" wide and 3/4" thick. The wood is solid. No soft spots. Thank you for viewing. Payment is to be received within 3 days after the close of the auction. 80 Antique Victorian Door Window Plinth Bullseye Rosette Salvaged Wood Wooden
Please read all contents of this auction before you place a bid! Up for auction: We used salvaged heart pine wood and floors from a hundred + year old farm house and cotton mill in Franklin County. North Carolina. We needed to replace a large number of rosettes during the restoration of our ca. 1890 Victorian Gothic home(over half of the original rosettes to our home had been removed in a 1952 renovation) Unfortunately. The milling company used the wrong blade/pattern when cutting the replacement rosettes for our home. Though we tried to resolve the problem by re-milling these rosettes, using the other side- in the end, we decided to start from scratch. Therefore. We are selling all the rosettes to barely offset what we've already spent towards this endeavor. You can choose which side you'd like to use them for in your project(s) ... moreBefore you assume that this is pricey for this lot. Keep in mind that these blocks were hand cut precisely for the rosette size we needed, not to mention we drove well over an hour to drop off and retrieve them from the milling company who did the work for us. The blades were custom cut but in the end, did not meet the specifications that we had requested. This is a great deal for the individual who appreciates the authentic materials needed for preservation and truly understands the difference in restoration and renovation! There are a total of 80 rosettes. 19 cut on one side. 61 are cut on both sides. These rosettes measure approximately 5" x 5" x 1 1/8" each. This is 100 plus year old heart pine salvaged wood that has been cut and used to match period ca. 1890 rosettes in our home. This group is the leftover from our Victorian home restoration project. Outstanding Fatigued Weeping Angel Sculptural Pediment Wood 27 inch
This fantastic sculpture is 27x12x4" and quite heavy. The angel is highly animated with its curved wings draped over its body suggesting great fatigue or despair. Look closely to see a winged bird perched on the angel's staff. This sculpture's proportions are perfect. I especially like the way light and shadow play across the deep relief carving. It really is quite stunning. The piece easily stands upright for display. This item came from a furniture and design company that went out of business in the 1990's. Some pieces were removed from furniture that was in disrepair other pieces were left over stock from architectural design projects.

ANTIQUE WOOD GESSO ARCHITECTURAL CROWN MOLDING MOULDING 100 YEAR OLD MOULDING
Original antique gesso and wood architectural moulding from the turn of the century. The moulding measures 1 3/4 inches wide. There are 9 pieces and their lengths are: 48. 48, 36, 34, 29, 34, 28, 26 and 16 inches. The moulding has a flat wood back and the gesso design on the front has a crown moulding style. The moulding has been well kept and the gesso is not damaged and has good designs. The moulding has a slot in the wood on the top of the moulding. I believe this is architectural moulding and not picture frame stock because the slot in the wood is not correct for picture frames. It has no offset. The gesso design has a nice scalloped bottom edge and is quite handsome. Very old, probably 100 year old moulding that you do not see often in this quantity. I believe there is near 25 feet here. The front had once been painted a blush ivory with gold accents. Measures a large 37.75" wide x 18" tall. It does have a metal piece on the back for easy hanging. Stunning piece, timeworn with chippy paint, mostly around the edges. It is missing the bottom left swirly piece, and there are some crack lines through it from age, but nothing broken off except the bottom left swirl. It is in a Renaissance revival style with a beautifully carved ornament and lions face. It is in very good antique condition-straight and solid. It has been stained to a warm dark finish and has only minor nicks and scratches. The sides are unfinished because this was removed from a large buffet.
