Kazuki Nakamura is son of the venerated potter Makoto Nakamura and grandson of the legendary potter Rokuro Nakamura. Rokuro was renowned as a lover of ... moresake, and so made guinomi and tokkuri that were instilled with the love of this beverage. Although the grandfather's works can fetch 4 figures, the family style is faithfully represented by Makoto and Kazuki. This lovely Bizen guinomi captures the undulating "sake drinker's" lip that made Rokuro famous. Equally desirable is the orange-red hue that fades in and out across the landscape of this cup, which is a pleasure to hold and drink from.

Hagi Ware is a type of Japanese pottery most identifiable for its humble forms and use of translucent white glaze. It originated in the early 17th century with the introduction of potters brought back from Japanese invasions of Korea. The local daimyo of the time were very interested in tea ceremony and funded production of this ware. Potters mix different types of local clay. The most standard result is a pink-orange color. Called Korean clay. Wares are formed on the wheel and decorated with translucent glaze made of feldspar and ash. The signature chip located on the bottom is a local tradition from the Edo period when potters would deliberately mark their wares in order to sell them to merchants instead of presenting them as gifts to the Mori clan. PLEASE READ CAREFULLY) Many of my customers prefer to shop over many auctions and combine shipping. This is perfectly fine with me. Please withhold payment until you are done shopping. The last week of every month I will pause listing so that I can settle everybody's accounts and do my own books. One thing I ask. Is that you please do not pay until you are done shopping. If I have items in my awaiting shipping folder, they will be shipped out within five days. Occationally I get customers who pay and then ask me to hold their items. This is very hard to keep track of and very often they get accidentally shipped as I have many orders to deal with. So please don't do this. I prefer that you wait to pay until you are completely done shopping. Since most of my customers order multiple items over multiple auctions, I usually don't combine their orders until they request that I do so. So when you are ready to check out, send me a message asking for combined shipping. That way, I don't combine your order, and then have to recombine it again after you order more. Please be careful when paying your bill. Ebay does not combine items properly
