For your bidding enjoyment. This is a Dai Nippon Japanese Satsuma, Meiji Period Cup and Saucer with raised enamel and gold gilt. It is marked on both the cup and saucer. The cross with the circle(pic#5) is from the Shimazu clan. It is made of Earthenware and has crazing consistent with age. It looks to be more from the mid 1800's. The cup measures 2 3/4" in diameter and 2" high and has a Dragon handle with raised enamel dragon scales. The saucer if 4 1/4" in diameter and also has the raised enamel dragon scales. Antique Dai Nippon Kutani zo. Sake Saki Porcelain Cup. This lot features a lovely single sake or saki cup. Meiji period. 1868-1912) It shows the generic Ku tani(Nine Valleys) mark. The cup is hand decorated with bamboo. Peonies and foliage. Marked in red on the bottom. Measures 1 1/2" tall x 2" diameter. There is wear to the gilt on the rim. It has a firing line at time of manufacture. Beautiful cup. Sells as is without reserve.
