Because of the features of potter's clay, glaze and firing procedure. It rarely may leak in early stage. In case of tea bowls, using it repeatedly, seeping of tea incrustations will eventually seal leaking spots and the leaking will be stopped. Or. Please dry ceramics enough firstly. And then, mix a tablespoon of cornstarch into 500 cc of water. After boiling it, please pour it into potteries, and hold it for 6 hours. The leaking will be stopped. Please do not heat potteries in microwave ovens. Glazes may become discolored or ceramics may break at extreme high temperatures. After washing ceramics. Please dry well before storing them. As Hagi ware absorbs moisture well, no enough dry may be a cause of mold. It is very important to dry potteries of Hagi ware to use them for a long time.
