I took this off my farmhouse roof when I put a metal roof on. The farmhouse is early 1900's vintage.not sure how old the ball is! 4 1/2 inch diameter. It has a chip out of the top that should be covered when the cap is installed(not included)

Pair of Antiques Purple Lilac Amethyst Lightning Rod Ball
This is an old antique purple lightning rod ball. One of them the collar rings do have age chipping. Some bubble in the glass. There is a residue inside from being out on the roof for many-many years. The house are more than 100 years old. I did not cleaned out any collection. You can see on the picture. 4 1/2" Silver mercury plain round Lightning rod ball
4 1/2" Silver merc plain round lightning rod ball. This ball has 1" caps that are threaded onto the tube. One of the caps has some splitting as pictured. The mercury coating is close to 100% with typical haze. No chips or cracks in the body of the ball. Overall condition is very good.

Antique Purple Glass Lightning Rod Ball / Moon and Star / Goshen Co.
Being offered is one antique glass lightning rod ball made by the Goshen Lightning Rod Company dating back to the early 1900's. It is amethyst in color with a moon and star pattern and measures approximately 4 1/4 inches across and 5 inches end to end from the collars(openings measure 7/8" inside diameter) There is some light chipping and rough edges on the collars which is quite common on antique lightning balls. Black scorching is visible but overall in great condition for its age. Amethyst in the moon and star pattern is hard to come by. Here is an opportunity to acquire one. Vintage Old and Original Horse Weathervane and Lightning Rod Ball, Neat and Nice
Neat Old and Original Circus Horse Weathervane and Blue Milk Glass Quilt Lightning Rod Ball. Weathervane is called a Circus Horse vane because it has a belly band around the horse's middle. Weathervane is hollow bodied and made in the 1915-20's. The horse is tim metal and the front arrow is old cast iron. Weathervane measures 33 inches long. Horse measures 14 inches long.10 inches tall and about 1 1/8 inches thick. This weathervane style was very popular way back then for the roofs of Barns and old Victorian Homes. Horse was large enough to be easily seen from some distance. This one fit over a 5/8 common lightning rod-the most common rod. The blue milk glass"quilt" ball measures 5 inches wide and 5 1/2 inches tall. It will fit over the common rod or the more fancy twisted star rod. Both items look great together. TEAL BLUE PLAIN ROUND LIGHTNING ROD BALL This was probably one of my favorite balls. It and the teal green plain round were quite a pair. The teal green sold two weeks ago. But I have posted a photo of the two side by side for comparison on the color and how truly blue this blue teal is. The collars have typical chipping around the circumference, but will be shipped with end caps in the appropriate size to cover the collars. It will make a great addition to any collection. Unusual Old Glass Lightning Rod Topper. Orange Pendant - Lightning Ball
Now this is a very interesting glass lightning rod topper in bright. Transparent orange that has spent the last 25 years or so inside as part of a local store display. This finial. Or pendant, or topper is an unusual bright orange color, sort of a mix between orange and amber. The finish appears to be applied to the glass, not mixed into it, but it is in good condition and judging by the thickness and imperfections in the glass itself, I am pretty sure this is a fairly old piece. Antique Vintage Lightning Rod Weathervane Arrow White Milk Glass Ribbed Ball
Antique or Vintage. Kind of hard to date these, Lightning Rod/Weathervane. As you can see it has had it's years of use, the arrow does not rotate freely and will need a little work if you are intending to use this item, if not its a great piece of American art form from the past. Also as shown in the pictures the pointed top does come off, and will be off for shipping. They say a picture is worth a thousand words so unless you have questions I'll just give dimensions. One of them is near pure white and it’s embossed National on the front. It has some damage to the top edge which is common on these pieces. The other has a purple tint that might just be from 100 years of sun exposure and it’s marked ELECTRA on the front. The rod measures, as you see it unextended 40" but EXTENDS TO 46 inches. No pieces missing. There is a slight dent in a little part of the rod near the top halt, nothing that takes away aesthetically or structurally.but I got to mention it on eBay. Also the glass ball is dirty. It can be easily cleaned, I just did not have time. Complete Original Ohio Lightning Rod with Amber Ball and 11 Point Crown Point
Complete Original Ohio Lightning Rod with 4 1/2 inch Plain Round Amber Ball and 11 Point Crown Point. Entire set-up is Ohio Lightning Rod Company of West Milton Ohio. Rod with point is approx. 38 1/2 inches tall. Bottom of Rod is embossed with two patent dates.October 6. 1914 and December 8, 1914. Point is embossed O.L.R. company. Insulators are both embossed"Ohio Lightning Rod Company West Milton O. Amber ball is a good colored ball. Collars do have chips. One collar has significant damage, but does not go into the ball and would be covered by a cap. Please see photos. 11 Point Crown Point has nice even patina. One of the bottom points has the tip slighlty chipped off as seen in photos. Still very even patina, has been that way for years. Very nice original set-up.

ANTIQUE 4 1/2 INCH ELECTRA WHITE MILK GLASS LIGHTNING ROD BALL GLOBE
This is an old antique white milk glass lightning rod ball. It measures 4 1/2" across and the rod hole is 1" It is in great condition with no cracks or breaks. The collar rings do have normal age chipping as shown. It has the word"Electra" in raised letters on one side. This would make a nice addition to any collection.
