This is a superb 19thc Black Forest oak carved pediment with fine stag head with antlers to centre. The attention to carved detail on this fine pediment is excellent with the carving in relief. The pediment panel has scrolled details and leaves carved to side. Carved centrally is a superb stag head with antlers. Pediment panel itself measures 8.25" length by height of 8.25" Stag head protrudes to a depth of 3.25" not including antlers. Antique Architectural Salvage Victorian Oak Wood Pediment Carved Burl 35.5" Arch
Beautiful Oak Pediment with carved leaves and burl embellishments. Also Eastlake spoon type carving on the ends that also have a hint of the Art Nouveau look! There is a arch in the middle that shows that it is attached with dowels. Not nails. Also the top(or could be the bottom if you like) has a ledge that is 1 5/8" wide. The piece measures 35.5" long and is 6" tall. I believe this came from an antique buffet or some other piece of furniture. There is hardware in the back. So it is ready to attach it to your wall. Lovely Old Vintage Carved Solid Tiger Oak Wood Standing Pediment Piece or? I didn’t have a lot of time to shop this week because of visiting relatives. But I found some awesome pieces regardless, and I’ll be going to my favorite flea market this weekend, so I’ll have a boatload of items, fingers crossed, that will be new. I appreciate your business! This one has more questions than answers for me! Of course. What caught my attention about it right away, was the beautiful tiger graining of the oak- my favorite wood. Also, I'm calling it vintage, but I do think that it could be old enough to be antique, finally, what da-heck is it? I'm calling it a pediment, but did it used to be a part of a furniture, or architectural piece? I don't know, it will be for you to decide! Now, I want to point out that the oak base that it is attached ... moreto on the front I do not think is original. I think that was added later so that the piece can stand on its own- and it does, while on a flat surface- I had to take if off of my rug to show you(hence, the photo on my sidewalk) as the rug was too bumpy for it to stand independently. The wood is solid, not veneer, and you can see the quartersawn graining at the back too. The piece has simple hand carved details that have been painted(on the insides and borders) in a dark red. I see peeks of the red on the sides of the piece too, but it's quite worn in many spots on the side, so it's only in peeks- you see more of the wood underneath, there. I did notice that the insides of the two cutouts in the piece either were once all red, as I think the sides were, or they were left unfinished and you can see some of the border red on the cutouts- it's hard to tell for sure, and you have to be up looking inside the cutouts to notice- that's what I was trying to do for you in photo 13. The piece is in excellent solid and sturdy condition. The finish is a semi gloss varnish, and you can see spots of wear to that and the stain- very minor. I'm showing in photos 8& 9 tha

Description This is a great piece that was salvaged from a Philadelphia Victorian Home. It was originally part of a built in armoire. It is made of oak and is painted. There are ornate moldings along the bottom. The center has an Eastlake Spoon Carved panel with carved brackets and corbels with ornate moldings and carvings at either side. There is a nice carved crown along the top. It measures 67 inches wide by 14.25 tall. It is 3 inches deep. Overall it is in good condition. There are misc. scratches and dings as it is antique. It could use a good cleaning but should clean up nicely. There is a lot of paint on the piece. The top center has a chip in the carving. Please look at the pictures carefully. Architectural Salvage Eastlake Pediment Carved /Appliqued Oak Vintage Decorative
This is an Eastlake-style pediment and my best guess is that it's off a dresser or a mirror. It is carved and the arch is an applique. The oak has no stain or varnish left on it and is quite lovely in that it's survived to find a new use as a decorative wall hanging. It is 22" long. 7" high and a little more than an inch thick.

VINTAGE(circa 1890-1900) GOTHIC STYLE CHANCEL SCREEN: This is a beautifully carved section of a heavy oak Church chancel screen. The piece is made up of a wide base rail. With a vertical section at each end, that has been joined with a dentiled top sub-rail section. The Gothic style shaping and carving is of high quality. It is very easy to see that the chancel screen was built with great care and high levels of workmanship(please note that the joints between the top section and vertical balustrade end sections did not originally match.These joints were purposely left with shims) Each side of the piece is similar in construction and finish. The heavy wide bottom rail has three hand carved oak leaf bosses on each side of the piece. The wood used to make this screen was very heavy and dense'old world' oak. Antique Polished Cast Iron Oak Leaves with Acorns Pediment for Door or Gate
Finely detailed. Cast iron pediment featuring swirls of oak leaves, branches and acorns. Each of the leaves measure about 5" long and each of the four acorns are 1 3/4" long. Would look great over a door or window, or over a mirror or picture. It's unpainted; just nicely polished metal. All cast iron. Weighing approximately 6 pounds, 10 ounces and measuring 25 5/8" long by 7 3/8" tall by 11/16" deep at the base. There are two holes, 5" in from each end, for securing the piece to a foundation. Superb 16thc early Black Forest oak carved heraldic pediment with carved lettering H ALOYSIUS to crest. A fine early Black Forest oak pediment with crest to centre. On the crest- now very age worn- the lettering H ALOYSIUS can be deciphered. Ornate scrolling acanthus leaves decorating around the crest and to the ends of the pediment. There is also some faint traces of gilding visible in places. Historic woodworm to pediment is in evidence. Measures 8.75" max height x 28" length xmax depth 1.75" Condition as described above and as per images. A superb collectable 16th century oak carved Black Forest heraldic pediment with H ALOYSIUS carved to crest.
