Antique Blue Steamer Trunk - Wooden Frame with Metal Corners & Braces
This is a nice bright blue steamer trunk. With metal corners, hardware and strapping. I believe the walls, bottom and lid are made of thin plywood with an exterior lining of sheet metal.Measuring about 29½" x 14½" and about 10¼" tall, it has a single leather or faux leather carrying handle on the front, right beside the lock. The inside is lined with paper printed with a wood grain design. I don't know the age of it, but it looks mid twentieth century, doesn't it? I also don't see any sign of manufacturer identification, and no labels to tell where it traveled. It has some surface scuffs and scratches. Especially on the top and bottom, in fact there are some distinct pressure dents around the edge of the lid, as shown in the third picture below. Vintage Steampunk Brass Plated Trunk Corners Lot of 24
These corners are NOT shiny. New brass plated pieces, they have a natural aged patina. I bought them when I was making replica trunks in the early 1970s. They are 2 3/8 inches on each side. I have hundreds and hundreds of them if you're looking for a substantial quantity. The corners in the photo are typical. All the corners and knees in my inventory are the same age so the patina is constant. If they would benefit your projects, I have many with minor surface rust that wipes right off with Never Dull. It does leave spots and unique markings when wiped off; actually very pretty that way. These corners(see other listings for knees) are perfect for building Steampunk furniture.

OAK IMMIGRANT TRUNK, DOVETAILED CORNERS, WOODEN PEG TOP,
I BELIEVE THIS TO BE A GERMAN TRUNK. PROBABLY DATEING FROM THE 1800'S. IT IS IN VERY GOOD CONDITION. I BELIEVE IT TO BE MADE OF OAK, THE CORNERS ARE DOVETAILED. THE DOMED TOP IS PUT ON WITH WOODEN PEGS. IT IS VERY CLEAN INSIDE AND APPEARS TO HAVE ORGINAL OLD FINISH ON THE OUTSIDE. ONE WIDE BOARD ON THE TOP HAS SPLIT FROM AGE-IT RETAINS ITS OLD STRAP IRON HINGES, SECURELY IN PLACE. THE TWO IRON HANDLES ON THE ENDS ARE ORGINAL TO PIECE AND FIRMLY ATTATCHED. THE LARGE IRON LOCK, SURFACE MOUNT ON INSIDE IS PRESENT AND LOOKS TO BE IN GOOD CONDITION. THERE IS NO KEY, THE ESTUCHEON ON THE OUTSIDE OF KEY HOLE IS MISSING-YOU CAN SEE THE IMPRINT OF WHERE IT WAS. This is a Complete trunk latch and the top part of a second latch as the bottom part was missing when purchased. The parts are heavy pressed metal in good condition. I have also included two small slat corners. See photos for details.

Vintage Steamer Trunk Hardware: 4 Metal Wing Decorative Corners Brackets
4) vintage used s teame r trunk decorative corners. Each corner has a top and bottom which attach to the trunk lid and the other to the top of the trunk base. The one end fits into the other end for a secure fit. The winged corners measure approx. 2 1/4" high and 3" wide individually, when the corners are com b ined they measure 4 1/ 2" high and 3" wide on each side. The number marked on the inside of the corner brackets are 368S. They are in good condition but could use a good cleaning. Very n ice addition to anyone refinishing a old steamer trunk. Antique Wood Dome Top Chest / Trunk with Dovetail Corners
Antique Wood Chest/ Trunk Dome Top Dovetail Corners Measurements(all approximate) 32 3/4" long(without hardware- add an additional 1" for handle) 10 5/8" deep(without hardware- 11 1/2 with front screw and back hinges) 9 1/4" high(to center of dome- 8 2/3" high to corners) Dovetail corners reinforced by large screws that makes me believe this chest was once used for something heavy. There is a handle at one end only. There are 2 holes side by side and both ends of chest. possibly a location for securing it in place. Possibly the back of a carriage. There are cracks in the wood at the bottom of the chest but it is still quite sturdy! Front of the box has 2 eye hook screws. Paint is worn. Completely gone in places, and faded from time. The chest has surface wear. Markings, residue and needs to be cleaned. Please look ... moreclosely at my pictures as I do consider them part of my description. There are corners, locks, hinges, handles, and a lot of items that I have no idea what they are. 3 of these parts have Patent dates on them. Nice Lot Of Antique Steamer Trunk Parts (Twelve) 12 Heavy Duty Fancy Corners
Offering this large lot of antique trunk hardware. This lot includes 12 stamped steel corners with 8 of these being four way and the other 4 corners. Only 3 of these are pictured but I did find the matching fourth one so you will receive all four of those along with the other 8 pieces for a total of 12 corners. All twelve(12) removed from the same 1880's trunk. There is normal wear and light surface rust. Bidding starts low and careful packing and shipping is $5.50 in the 49 states. I do have other trunk parts listed today so please check them out.
