I dont know much about these but from what I have researched about the company Which Follows: Manufacturer: Henry Likly. The Henry Likly Trunk Company was established in 1844 as A.R. T.H. Pritchard. Upon graduating from school Henry Likly took an apprenticeship with A.R& T.H.Pritchard and mastered his trade in the trunk manufacturing industry.In January of 1868 Mr. Likly was given a partnership in the company. The company then became A.R. T.H. Pritchard& Company. Three years later it became A.R. Pritchard& Likly.When Henry Likly and his brother in-law became the sole proprietors of the business the name was changed to Henry Likly& Company. This was the name from 1870 when A.R. Pritchard retired until 1925 when it simply became"Likly's"As far as I can tell the company was ran by his children after his death in 1897. In New York State the Henry Likly trunk company was the largest factory of its time. Located at 340 Lyell Ave in Rochester N.Y. the factory covered two acres of land. These 2" X 2" X 1 1/2" trunk knees are NOT shiny. New brass plated pieces, they have a natural aged patina. I bought them when I was making replica trunks in the early 1970s. I have several hundred of them. The knees in the photo are typical. All the knees and corners in my inventory are the same age so the patina is constant. If they would benefit your projects, I have some with minor surface rust that wipes right off with Never Dull. It does leave spots and unique markings when wiped off; actually very pretty that way. These knees are perfect for building Steampunk furniture.

This is a phenomenal piece. In great condition for its age. It is made of metal and wood. Has one handle in tact, and hinges work properly. I am leaving it in"found" condition so the buyer can choose to leave it as is for the character or to restore as you wish. This piece is very heavy and solid. Measures 21 deep, 24 tall, 34 wide. This trunk is in fair condition and its basic structure is intact. But the original inner storage tray is gone, the metal underside is corroded, the wooden planks on the inside bottom have an area that looks charred, there are mildew spots on what remains of the inner fabric(although the smell is"old" not a mildew smell) the original canvas outer cover is ripped, and the leather handles are broken. Canvas covered trunk is a style that was made by many American trunk companies from the 1890's to about 1920 based on the style of the Corbin hardware. These were made in many sizes and models, with the same or similar style locks and other hardware. Corbin and several other lock companies made trunk locks for the trunk makers, but they never made trunks. Lots of these trunks are found without a label for several reasons, such as some companies didn't put labels on all their trunks and some used outside ... moretags or even labels on the bottom that were soon worn off or lost.
