The ... morestyle is from the 1830- 1840 period and that's when I believe this was made. There is a signature written in ink on the underside of the top. But it is very difficult to decipher(see photo below) I think the small circular inset in the table top might be a deliberate example of the maker's skill rather than a later repair, but it could be to"mend" a flaw in the wood I guess. There are several closed age related cracks to the top surface and some light scratches commensurate with its age, also a small black indentation, but they are not disfiguring and show in the photographs. With table tilted height is approx 8.70 inches, with table top flat, height is approx 5 inches and diameter is approx 7 inches. Overseas buyers are welcome with postage at cost but please wait for an invoice as the postage quoted in the listing is for UK delivery. Sorry but I am not willing to post to Italy at this time. It measures approx 22" tall including swivel mirror. 12 1/4" wide at feet, and 9" deep at feet and has 2 small drawers at top and l larger drawer at bottom. Mirror is in fine condition. The small drawers each measure approx 5 3/8" x 4" x 2 1/2" deep. The one on the right has a smaller pull than the others but it appears to have been put on at the same time. Bottom drawer measures approx 9 3/8" x 8" x 3 3/8" deep. Bottom drawer has original lock(no key) and is lined with a silver color paper which appears to be very old. Antique Miniature Doll Chest with Hankie Drawers Salesman Sample 12” High x 12” Wide x 6 ½“ Deep*It is darker than it looks in the photos. The finish has a darkened aged look– beautiful. This is a wonderful old piece- I believe it to be about 1920 It has 2 handkerchief drawers on the top. There are 2 drawers side by side and below those. 2 large drawers. The drawer pulls are wood. There grooves in the 2 small drawers and in the bottom drawers. On the sides of the chest. There are grooves again, nice detail. When it is upside down the bottom is the bottom of the last drawer. Only one side of the center drawer is dovetailed, it was easier and cheaper to make that way. The salesman had the one corner as an example to show his customers. Condition: Really very good. There are no splits in the outside wood. A couple of the drawers have wood ... moresplits(inside) The corner of the back right facing leg was broken off. But it looks like someone shaped it. It is not noticeable unless you compare the sides. There is a stain in one drawer see photo. All of the drawers slide easily. It needs a good cleaning. Look at all the photos and ask questions. Antique Scottish Folk Art miniature chest of drawers box circa 1860
A box. Made to look like a Scottish full sized chest of drawers, with columns down the front. The kind of chest of drawers that used to be called a"Scotch chest" The drawers don't open. The top lifts up to reveal a plain box. Very much a one off. Made perhaps as a present and very much in the Folk Art tradition. Each part is homemade- you can see the whittle marks on the feet and even the handles have been made for this piece. Brass hinges and lock plate were bought. The rest is all individual. Approximately 27cm x 21.6cm across the top. Height- 24cm. A pleasing size. Condtion- It has at some point had a bad bash to the base. Which has knocked one of the feet off and it has been glued on again. It is old, old glue and could be done again much better with modern glues and not show. At the same time, you can see in the photo, ... morea crack appeared in the base at the back. The sides have been decorated with a shaped overlay. On one side three pieces are missing, on the other two. I would say this could easily be fixed without too much trouble and also could be ignored quite easily! The hinge works well and closes and opens and the front, the decorative part has all its knobs and drawers etc. The starting price reflects the damage and it is still a really fun thing. The leather side handles are gone, but the original connectors are there. The leather lifting tab is also long gone, but remnants are there, just above the lock hasp. Exterior is entirely covered in wood grained wallpaper, with black banding highlights. Interior is also wallpapered, all original, with red highlights. The wallpaper is loose in places, both on the outside, and on the inside, and also missing in a number of places. The interior tray is missing. I have done NO repair or restoration on this trunk. The wood also has a number of splits in it. Lock is original. No key included. Hinges are original, although at least some of the original screws seem to have been replaced with brass ones. Original scissors hinge is missing. The trunk also has a metal band, on the lid, which fits over the lower portion of the trunk, just like the full size ones. This sweet bit of Americana measures 20” tall x 17” wide x 9” deep and boast 4 molded drawers with dovetailed construction(front; square nail back) and thick hand chamfered drawer bottoms. The sides feature raised panels with compass corners and graceful cuts repeating the profile of the front skirt. It is primarily pine with tulip poplar back; some of the drawer bottoms are pine and others poplar and retains its original heavily distressed dark grain painted surface overall. The porcelain knobs on the top drawer are original; the rest are modern replacements. Antique 1877 Hump Back Doll Child's Steamer Toy Trunk Miniature Salesmans
Antique dome top style miniature trunk. The small trunk may have been a child's doll trunk or possibly a salesman's sample. The brass lock has patent dates of March 69 and April 77. The circa 1877 trunk measures about 15 1/2" long x 10" wide x 12 1/2" tall. As pictured. The trunk has the original leather handles and interior tray. The exterior of the trunk has stamped metal with flower designs. The antique trunk is in original condition with leather intact handles and rollers on the bottom. No rust through was found on the metal. The interior paper has wear and the tray has old inactive insect damage. There is no other insect damage to the trunk. Only the back side of the tray. American Classical Mahogany Miniature Chest of Drawers c.1830 Salesman's Sample Please review payment& shipping policies before bidding. This attractive miniature chest of drawers was made c.1830. A barrel shaped drawer tops three smaller drawers. All finely dovetailed. The wonderful pressed glass knobs are original and add a little sparkle when the light hits them. The lower drawers are designed to open only when the top drawer is opened. When the top drawer is locked the entire case is secured.I do have the very nice steel& brass key) The face of the drawers is veneered in flame mahogany. The sides and top are solid woods. The case sits atop four turned ball feet. This chest is in very good overall condition with light wear and an older refinish. There are two small chips in the veneer. It has a nice form and it dates to the 19th century- the turned knobs look like 1860s. But there are old wire nails so maybe 1880s. The drawers are nicely dovetailed. Note the interesting case with the bottom drawer; a lock installation was started but never finished, and I believe this was absolutely original to the piece when constructed. The piece measures 10 3/4 inches tall and 10 3/8 inches wide across the top. The dresser is in good antique condition. The old finish looks original. As shown in the pictures. This is a walnut Sheraton period miniature or child's chest. It is handmade exhibiting early nailed construction drawers. It has pine drawer bottoms and back. The primary wood is walnut and the secondary wood is pine. Very nice inlaid false key holes that appear to be maple. It is likely from the Sheraton or Empire period. It measures 16" by 16" by 7" It is an absolute knockout when you see it in person. Pictures in no way do it justice. It is missing both end pieces for the top. WOW! I mean W.O.W. FRESH from an incredible estate this past weekend. This OLD(avid collectors) estate was packed with EARLY AMERICAN items-furniture. Boxes, chests, maps, ect. I snatched this baby up! This early Pennsylvania chest is gorgeous-all hand made-dovetailed construction with square nails. BEAUTIFUL original paint! Signed several times in several places on the bottom-I can only make one out for sure-Amanda Batz. If you google her, you will find right away an Amanda Batz who was born in Pennsylvania on May 1st, 1836. I don't know if this was passed down to her or painted by her? There are other names and possibly dates which, with a little more time and effort, could probably be made out and someone could probably figure out when and for whom and possibly by whom this was made. A lovely 1800's small chest of drawers standing 17 inches tall. It is handmade and unsigned. It has all the original porcelain drawer pulls which are usually broken or missing some. It has age appropriate wear on the feet as shown in the photos. There are modern repairs on the hidden portions of the drawers. The nails holding the top are iron and square. There are some old doodles on the bottoms of two of the drawers. This terrific piece was made for sewing supplies perhaps, or spices, or other important items. Red leather covered wood, paper lining inside, original brass handle, original label believed to be from the 1800's.It is 12 inches wide, 6 1/2 inches deep and 4 3/4 inches high at the peak of the top to the base. Beneath the original brass handle are the letters SE. This trunk has its original label still applied to the wall paper type paper lining of the box. Antique Korean storage miniature chest coin ton kwe 19th
This Korean chest is 21 inches wide. 12 inches tall and 12 inches deep. Half of the top lifts up to provide access to the chest. The chest is likely made of pine, but we are not certain about that. The inside of the box is lined on the bottom with old paper. We have the brass lock in the shape of a fish but it does not work readily. The hardware is brass or bronze. There is some wear to the finish on the top. This is likely a coin chest though usually the lid on the top is wider than the one on this chest. The chest dates to the 19 th century. The chest has an age crack on the bottom.

Here's a Very Old. Antique Miniature Arch Top Trunk for Dolls. Please, see all the pics as they are an important part of the description. This is from the 1800s and from what I can gather, through a little research, it's probably from the 1850s to 1870s but, I'm not positive.you girls who collect these things will know by looking at it, immediately. It Measures 14" Long X 8 1/8" Front to Back X 9" Tall. Both the Trunk and the Tray are structurally sound with no loose joints or corner wiggling or racking.it's firm all around. The Latch is Original, I believe but the rear hinges look to be of a later date. The Original painted cotton cloth covering(over the wood) which is what they used back then(much the same as many full-sized trunks from back then) is torn and/or missing in several areas. I suppose this can ... morebe restored if so desired. There are two knot holes in one end of the trunk. These were not drilled by anybody.they are actual natural holes where the knots fell out a long time ago. The Original Interior Paper covering is well worn. There is no key and was lost probably a very long time ago. One of the Leather Handles is torn off but I have left it in the tray for you. I'm a guy and don't know much about these things but I can actually say that it's pretty neat! Because of the condition issues, which I have described(along with the pics) this is being sold AS IS. This unusual antique candle box measures 260mm(10' x 100mm(4' x 150mm(6' high and weighs 540 grams excluding the candles. It is in the shape of an early Georgian bread box or coffer on simple turned legs and dates to the late 1800's early 1900's with a hinged lid to reveal the candles. The oak has a really good colour and would benefit from a good polish and there is an old repair to one leg(photo6) which only adds to its rustic charm. Antique painted miniature chest/trunk/possibly sailor-made/mid 1800s
I am very used to seeing chests of this design in a large format. This is a little one. It's an antique sea-chest style chest in green paint and decorated with motifs very typical of sailor-made chests. It may very well have been made by a sailor for his wife or daughter. I would say it dates to the mid-1800s. The top carries 4 hearts in the corners and a five-pointed star in the center. There are two stars on the front section- one in each top corner. I would say the green paint is original to the piece. Size is great. Allowing the buyer to put it almost anywhere. The top is 17&1/4" across and 11&1/2" deep. It is 8" high. Condition is as shown. Please look at all photos to form your own opinion of quality and condition. The decorative elements are applied(possibly paper) and there is some loss. The star on the ... moretop looks to be painted. The stars on the front look to be applied. There is a very old crack on the back which shows wood loss connected to it on the inside. I purchased this chest from a dealer friend- as it was missing the red trim around the top, he very recently replaced it with new wood and did his best to match the original red to the trim on the lower portion. I think he was successful because the chest shows very well. Overall, based on the design and diminutive size, this is a special little chest that would fit into any folk art or marine collection. Antique Miniature Natural Shell Silver Sewing Box C Horner Thimble Needle Case
For sale is this lovely miniature sewing box. Wood overlaid with natural shell further decorated with silver strings and central silver square and natural ebur turned feet. Please look at the pictures for the full details. The inside is lined with a rich red fabric beautifully quilted in the lid. Excellent condition for a piece that dates to around 1870. The hinges and catch are in good order and the shell is excellent with no cracks or discolouration. One tiny pin head chip to the bottom corner that can hardly be seen. Inside are two silver thimbles. One the hallmark is worn but the other is clearly marked to the maker Charles Horner. There is also the original miniature needle case. Covered in the same fabric as the inside of the box. The inside pages don't look as if they've ever been used. This is a stunningly rare antique authentic handmade salesman sample miniature travel domed top trunk. It is a very small model made by hand to be able to easily transport from potential client to client for sales rather than carrying a heavy. Large, original sized trunk. It is beautifully made with an abundance of nice detailing and many different materials. it is made from wood. Iron, leather, canvas, and linen. it has lonely metal decorative dogs on the front done in high relief and have dangling rings from their mouthes. there is a nice handmade locking mechanism on the front but does not have a key. the inside is nicely lined but would have had a couple more pieces and more of the purple lining. it also has a linen piece on the side to hold the box opened. it is missing the handle part on the sides but still has the mounts so can easily ... morebe replaced. it measures 12 inches long by 9 inches tall by 7 3/4 inches wide. it is in nice antique condition and has normal ware from age. refer to all photos. Very nice original Walnut Miniature Blanket Chest. No lock and No till cover. It doesn't look like there ever was a till cover.No screw holes on the lid where the lock catch would have been mounted so not sure that was ever there either. Measures 14" long x 6" tall x 6" deep. End are dovetailed as shown in the pictures and one end has some wear and something white in the wood grain.Nothing offensive. Both easily repairable nor does it take away from this piece.

Antique Doll Trunk w/ Treasures Inside Doll Frozen Charlotte Miniature Books Etc
14" long x 8" wide x 9" tall. It has paper losses. A gouge, one missing leather handle, stains, and none of it surprises me considering its age. It has the original tray and inside are a doll with a broken foot. Her clothes are very dirty.
