Antique George III Satinwood Inlaid and Mahogany Crossbanded Thuyawood. Walnut, and Oak Chest on Chest In two parts: the upper section having three aligned drawers over three graduated drawers with brass bail handle pulls; the lower section having a pull-out slide over three graduated drawers. Brasses replaced and drawers front probably refaced) Last Quarter 18th Century Height: 73" x Width: 45-1/2" x Depth:21" Double chest. Vertically. It is a rare design e4specially since most of us arn't tall enough to see inside the top row of drawers. Each row consists of either three smaller drawers across, or one large drawer. The entire piece of furniture is made up of two sections, the top and the bottom. The top of the piece fits into the bottom without needing any type of hardware to attach them togather. All that is needed is ... moreto set the top section inside the outer rim of the bottom section. About mis section there is a flat rather thin board which pulls out like one of the drawers, but is intended to act as a folding table. Also there is a very unique large drawer just above that folding one which offers four smaller drawers inside and also four cubby holes each with a compartment just under these little drawers. The entire piece is handmade from frame to finish The workmanship of the day was impeccable and the vaneering composition and application is completely without compare Each drawer is trimmed around the perimetor with a light maple of about a 1/2 inch all around. 18Th Century GEORGE III MAHOGANY SERPENTINE FRONT 4 DRAW CHEST.
This chest of drawers was handed down to me by my aunt. Who's still with us at 98 years young. She lived in Chicago and probably got it there. I'm told that it's circa 1780/90 and English in origin. I took plenty of pictures for you to see. It does need quite a bit of work. Which is what I was going to do. But never got around to. On her wight up for it they said it was worth $2500 twenty years ago. I'm selling it for a quick sale. I want it out. Antique Georgian George III Chest Dresser
Excellent quality George III oak chest dresser with original mahogany banding on top and drawers. Two short over three wide drawers. Brass single pin ring drawer pulls. Diamond ivory escutscheons. Hand cut dove-tail joints on drawers. All drawers pull smoothly. Bracket feet. Circa 1800. Pictures don't do justice to rich dark and medium browns of the piece. Will take more in different light. Photo clearly shows only damage- to top right front corner. 39" height x 44.5" wide x 21.5" deep Local pick-up only. But I will cooperate with your shipper.

George III Mahogany Miniature Chest of Drawers, England, 1850 – 1900
This miniature chest is a lovely example of Georgian furniture. It is English and from the 19th century. It has 4 long drawers and stands on flared feet. It is either a salesman’s sample or an apprentice piece. In either case. It is an exact replica of a piece of large furniture from a particular maker. The quality of wood and hand workmanship are exactly the same. The design is exactly the same. The scale is exactly the same. The hardware is exactly the same. We think that these miniature pieces of furniture are incredible both from a collectible and a historical point of view. The condition of this piece is quite good. The chest is missing 4 of its handles. These replacement pieces are relatively easy to find. In addition, it has a crack on one of its sides.
