REDUCED! VICTORIAN BRONZE SASH LIFTS. Ornate. Window. 1884 Branford "Ivy"
COLLECTOR QUALITY CAST BRONZE SASH LIFTS The lot consists of 2 cast bronze sash lifts. The fist lift was made by a quality manufacturer of the 1970's. Perhaps Russell& Erwin, Corbin, or Hopkins and Dickenson. It is cast in heavy bronze and features classical floral design characters of the period. The heart-shape is quite becoming, and the top of the finger lift has a a design that matches the body. It's really one of the finest sash lifts I have come across. The lift was non-destructively polished. There is a small defect, possibly from casting, on the right outside edge just where the finger pull ends- I only noticed it when I looked at the enlarged photo. The body of the lift has a very slight curve in the upper portion, perhaps from casting, as the bronze is so heavy it's unlikely it could have been bent. It will fit quite ... moresnugly when mounted on the window sash. It measure about 1-1/2" wide by 1-1/2" high. The second one was made by Branford Lock Works. Branford, CT and dates from 1884. It features an attractive Branford pattern called"Ivy" designed by J.J. Kennedy, who received Design Pat. 14,538 on Jan 8, 1884. The back of the lift is stamped with"DESIGN PAT JAN 8 84" The front of the lift features the same Ivy design seen in the knobs and plates of this Branford design suite. Crafted in heavy cast bronze, 1-7/8" wide and about 1-1/2" high. The finger lift is strong and shows no metal fatigue. Back quite flat. Design has some residue of brass polish, or perhaps superficial greenish corrosion, but there is no pitting. These pieces are priced to reflect the quality and rarity.

2 Antique NOS East Lake Victorian Cast Iron Window Sash Lifts Pulls w Screws
You are bidding on a Set of 2 Antique NOS? Cast Iron East Lake Victorian Window Sash Lift Pulls- 2 Piece with Screws. The lift with the spring hook measures 1 15/16" across and about 1 1/2" tall at the tallest point. The springs are very strong and work well on both hooks. The bottom part with the receptacle hook measures 1 7/8" across and 3/4" tall. Both hooks come with 4 screws possibly original. They possibly have never been used- NOS. They have a great East Lake design. All 4 parts are marked on the back 626. These are black and gold with a little of the black flaking off on the back. These Antique Window Hardware pieces came from a lovely 1910 house. There is one complete Window Sash Lock. Two pieces that are parts of Sash Locks and 3 Window Lift pieces. The Sash Lock measures 3" wide x 2 5/8" deep and 1 1/8" high. The Pulls or Lifts are 1 5/8" wide x 1 1/2" deep and 3/4" high. The two Sash pieces are 2 1/2" wide x 3/4" deep and 1 1/8" high. 2 Antique Brass Window Sash Inserts Handles Recesses Openers Lifts Brackets
3& 3/4 inches long-1& 9/16 wide-3/8 recess. The back side looks like a little rust but I tested with a magnet-it's NOT steel. I removed these from a couple broken windows a few years ago. It's time to see if someone wants to make use of them. The sash must be gouged to accommodate these inserts. These were in 2 different windows but you could put both in one wide window. I didn't clean the old paint off. I did not want to damage them by using the wrong chemicals. The type of person who would reuse these surely knows more than I do about the proper way to restore.

How often do you find NOS items like this. I bought a couple of boxes full of old hardware at an estate sale. These still have that bronze looking stuff on them to keep them from rusting. It eventually wears off leaving the cast iron look. Best I can count. There is enough original screws to do all but 2 or 3 of them, anyway, there not all there but more there than missing. 15 antique cast iron window sash lifts victorian eastlake style
Matched set of 15 antique cast iron window sash lifts in great useable condition. No cracks or breaks. There are a few casting defects on the back side of some of the handles but should not be visibile in the mounted position. One of the handles has a small bit of the casting missing on the tip of the mounting plate, see photo. There may be some small amounts of old paint and some corrosion in the details. measures 5 1/16"
