Not sure where they picked it up from so that all the history I have on it. The bar was torn down and I bought it up from the demo crew. My plans have changed and I don't have a use for it anymore I would like to sell it to someone that can use this beautiful piece. I was told it would cost $14.000.00 to make this today. The window is 5 feet tall and it is 8 feet wide at the bottom. There is a wood frame around the window but it does need some work to be repaired. The bottom window sill is damaged/rotted/missing and needs to be replaced. When this was installed it also had a piece of clear glass on both sides to protect it. One of them cracked as I set it down on my garage floor and was taken off and tossed. The stained glass is still perfect. It shows age and the brass pieces are starting to tarnish a little. The window dropped down out of the wood frame and we just turned it over and it went back in. I now have a board holding it all together. Antique exterior windows salvaged from an old home in Northeastern Pennsylvania. Each window is made of solid pine and has 9 wavy glass lites. Glazier's Putty: Each of the window's glass lites are secured with old-fashioned glazier's putty on the exterior side. The putty on the majority of the windows is brittle and cracked and should be replaced. We could do this for you. Email us for a quote. I f a lite were to break once you install the windows; you would need to completely scrape off the old putty. Which could be as ... morehard as cement, remove the glazing points, put in the replacement lite, reinsert the points, add new putty, and allow to dry. Not only is it a long, tedious, and messy job to replace a lite, but if you don't have experience doing it, the results may look awful. Not because they were in bad shape or defective. All of the frames(sashes) are in good shape with no breaks, cracks, or serious flaws. All glass is intact. The lites are secured with old-fashioned glazier's putty on the exterior(green) side. The condition of the putty varies from window to window. Some of the putty is weak and brittle. And some windows have sections of putty missing. Worst case, brittle or missing putty must be replaced with new putty which could be purchased online or at any hardware store.
