Up for bidding is this beautiful antique cathedral shaped wooden window frame with cast iron insert. Perfect for decorative applications. There is no glass in the window. Frame insert is well crafted into a stained glass design with sweeping curves and diamond shaped accents. The quality iron and wood work places this frame in the early 1900's. Window has amazing patina with different layers of color showing through the white paint top layer that is chipping and flaking off. Iron bars were probably painted white as well but now displays surface rust. There are 2 welded tubes on the lower section of the iron bars that can have various design uses. Matched pair 9.5 lb window sash weights from 1910 house. They each have a number 9 on them. They measure 16.5" long. They have holes at the back of the top for hanging. Though they don't show in the pictures. They are the original weights from our old house. The windows were extra large so the weights needed to be extra large too. I've heard that these weights can also be used as boat anchors?

This piece looks as good from the front as from the back with a raised design on both. The first 4 photos show back and front. The window/grate would make a perfect insert for a door. Great for Spanish and Victorian homes. I had this in my garden for a while. In back of some rose bushes instant beauty stands nice and even as it is lays flat.
