We have here a Set of 6 Antique Solid Brass Window Sash Locks. Both the lock and the latch measure 1 5/8" center screw hole to center. The lock section measures just under 3" long when lock is open by 1 1/4" wide. The latch is just over 2" long by 3/4" wide. All solid brass lock and latch. Great patina. All are same design/set up. 10 Solid Brass 1920s Large Classroom Window Sash Locks with Finger Pull Rings
These 10 solid brass 2-piece window sash locks were recently removed from the large windows being replaced during the renovation of an old building in Central Virginia. The building had been built in the 1920s and the windows were from very large rooms that had been used as instructional/class rooms. I have not cleaned the locks and you can see they still retain all of their original patina from being grasped and used for almost a century. A few have some small remnants of paint. The base of each 2-piece lock measures about 2.5" x 2"4" and weighs about 7.8 ounces. These heavy duty locks are made from solid brass and use 4 screws each. Their original 40 solid brass screws are also included. Each screw was carefully removed and all are still in very good usable condition. Please see first 8 photos.
