Here are 7 sets of old ornate window latches or locks. They look to be in from the Victorian era. They do need to be cleaned up, a few have paint on them, but, the levers move back and forth and they do latch into the latching piece. They will be packed with the screws that came with them, when they were removed from the old house my husband was working on, not sure if all the screws are there or not. I recently acquired several large boxes of vintage hardware from a Simmons Hardware in McComb Ohio. Alot of these items are in a marked boxes and have hand writing on the from the old school fountain pens or even quill pens.not real sure. These items were never used and some of them have patent dates from the 1800's. Many pieces are not marked on the item itself at all. Even though these items are N.O.S. some of thes still have patina and some even have some rust from over 100 years of humidity etc. There is so much stuff I do not have the time to clean all of it so a lot of the items will be as found. Antique Champion Hardware window sash locks- 9 total- patent August 1885 stamped on all. Appear to be copper- excellent condition with exception of some rusting. See pictures. Original box with screws. Champion Hardware Co- Geneva, Ohio is labeled on top and bottom of box. Sashes measure about 2 3/4 inch x 1 1/8 inch. Vintage Cast Iron Shutter Dogs and Door Hardware Locks
You will receive the 7 items pictured in the first image that came with a lot of old hardware I purchased. I used the door hardware appropriate to my house and these shutter items were left over(I don't have shutters) Actually. I am not sure what all the items are used for save for the shutter dogs. If you are restoring an old house these would be most useful. Weight is a tad less than 4 pounds. 4 Antique PAYSON Victorian Window Sash Locks Hardware 1876 Eastlake? Fancy! LOOK
Here is a gorgeous set of 4(8 total pieces) Victorian window sash locks. They are signed Payson Mfg Co. and have a patent date of 1876 on them. I'm not good with metals. They are maybe copper? or bronze? They do not stick to the magnet! These are fresh out of an old home and are untouched by us. There are remnants of old paint and they have a wonderful patina. You can clean them up and bring them back to original glory or use them as is. Unlike others I saw available. These have a nice spring loaded locking mechanism. All four lock releases work great and could be used as are they are. These also feature beautiful geometric designs unlike any others that I was able to find. Here is a gorgeous Victorian Eastlake window sash lock. Signed Payson Mfg Co.and have a nice spring loaded locking mechanism. The spring lock release works great. Feature beautiful geometric design. I believe it is cast iron with a brass or bronze knob. Aprox. size is 2 1/2" in length. Please note in last two photos it shows a blemish in the knob mold. Photos are the best description!
