The parts are made of solid, heavy, thick, cast iron, and the finials sitting atop the locks are cast bronze. The locks and keepers were salvaged from an old home in Northeastern Pennsylvania. At the point of salvage they were found dirty. One has a spring-loaded grip that releases with a pull on the brass end, and locks closed automatically. The other two swing freely into the locking position. Very clever and beautiful as well. Here we have for bid are these very NICE 1880's Eastlake window sash locks. These 23 BEAUTIES starting with the ones on the upper left are 2 1/2 inches across and the ones in the middle are 2 inches across and the far right and bottom locks are 2 inches and 2 1/4 inches across. As you can see these are various designs. The LARGE ones on the top left have SOLID brass or brons bottoms but the top and all others have a NICE design and most are CAST IRON and a few have BRASS centers. There are(3) matching same patent-dated 1887 antique cast iron window sash-locks which have their original matching and fitted keepers, each one has a pretty ball finial at top made of brass(see pics) these locks are'1887' patent dated underneath in raised lettering and read: PAT DEC 27 87(the number"87" refers to 1887) these three locks have a wonderful Mission period'Arts& Crafts Movement' EASTLAKE design pattern embossed on the surfaces of each matching lock with a flower on one lever of each(see ... morepics) and a geometric raised design on each as well, all three of these window sash locks appear to be in good working order and in very good condition-PLEASE read entire description-one has old thick yellowish paint on it which could be removed-I left them and it in'as found' condition and only applied a light organic natural oil to clean and preserve the iron(see pics) both of the levers on the sash locks turn and manually rotate easily, each of these(3) locks has its matching keeper(see pics) on two of these locks there are no dents-chips-cracks-holes-splits-broken or bent parts, on one of these locks underneath there is a chipped piece of iron where the catch would be to hold the lever-this piece had been chipped of one this one lock underneath-it still works-it still holds the lever only it doesn't'catch' it into place-see pic included of this lock in close-up pic of bottom of locks provided) each one has some expected wear from age and use(see pics) each lock measures approx. with levers fully extended lengthwise 2 1/8" long x almost 1.5" deep x 1.25" tall, keepers measure approx. 2.25" long x 3/4" wide x 3/4" tall,

Japaned finish Victorian window sash locks -Vintage NOS
I recently acquired several large boxes of vintage hardware from a Simmons Hardware in McComb Ohio. Alot of these items are in a marked boxes and have hand writing on the from the old school fountain pens or even quill pens.not real sure. These items were never used and some of them have patent dates from the 1800's. Many pieces are not marked on the item itself at all. Even though these items are N.O.S. some of thes still have patina and some even have some rust from over 100 years of humidity etc. There is so much stuff I do not have the time to clean all of it so a lot of the items will be as found.
