Lot of 2 Vintage Window Weights Roman Numerals VIII 8 Lb Antique Hanging Weights
The following auction is for a pair of antique window weights. They are used. I am not sure when they are from. They came out of our windows here at the shop. The building was built in 1898. I don't know if they put the windows in then or not. We found these when we put the new ones in. The pieces are made of metal. They are rusty colored. The loops that the string goes through are still in decent usable shape. They have the markings of VII. They don't measure exactly 8 lbs. They do vary a little. They are about 17.5-18 inches long. One has a sort of nipple on the end. The other is slightly flatter. You can see small holes in the metal. They are somewhat porous looking. LOT 2572 WE HAVE LOT OF OTHER AUCTIONS GOING ON. This auction is for two antique window sash weights. Both are marked 17 pounds. But they weight just under 17 pounds. Made of cast iron. They measure 28 inches long and approximately 2 inches wide. One has a few voids in the metal on one side, otherwise good condition. These were salvaged from an old house with unusually large windows. Approximately 120 years old.

These(7) 5 cast iron window weights are a great find. They are 14.25 inches long with minimal pitting. Very good condition for the age. They are stamped H. Wall. They were salvaged from an old home demolition that I have been helping my dad with. I do not know the age of the home as the family has passed away and we are doing the demolition for their extended family who have minimal knowledge of the property.
