I have for sale a great set of NSEW directionals for a lightning rod. The inside diameter of the center hole is approx. 3/4 inches. The NS arm is approx. 17 inches long by 3 inches high. The WE arm is approx. 17 inches long by 3 inches high. These have a great look and display well. Each arm has a set screw. Both screws were messed up so I replaced them with different brass screws. 19th Century American Copper Running Horse & Sulky Weathervane & Directionals
19th Century American Full Body Copper and Metal Running Horse and Sulky Weathervane ca. 1880-90 with Directionals. The rider and horse have great form. The weathervane has great patina- nice verdigris color. SIZE: Horse and Sulky are 30 inches long x 14 inches high x 6 1/2 inches wide. Directional is 40 inches high x 23 inches wide. CONDITION: The weathervane has natural wear from age and exposure. The horse has a hole in its knee for placement on the directional. A few of the spoke wheels are slightly bent on the sulky. On one side. Two wheel spokes are separated from the round wheel. There are some dents and dings overall. Directional- the top ball has dents, and the bottom smaller ball has a couple small dents. The pole is slightly bent near the directionals. Great piece of old Folk Art. This item will be shipped in two boxes.

Farm fresh as they say! Just picked this up in Eastern Pennsylvania. Beautiful copper deer weathervane that comes with a pair of copper orbs. N.S.W.E copper directionals and a great iron mount that has a little rust on it like you'd expect. Deer on it's own measures 32" tall X 23 1/2" wide(Schaefer can in first pic for reference) All the pieces have a great patina on them as the pics show. Pictures 7 and 8 show both sides of the deer. NEAR ANTIQUE. NOT A REPRO or NEW. My guess is 1940's? It is not dated. Its made from Zinc/ White metal I think. Its large and comes with the FULL-Bodied ROOSTER Figure. The orig directionals, and the mounting pole. IT MEASURES A WHOPPing 33" tall approx, overall x 29" wide x 2 1/2" thick at the bird. The Rooster is AWESOME! Thick. Full Bodied. 3 dimentional. His legs and feet look real. His tail is separated at the back between the two halves of the casting. Im not sure if thats on purpose? It does accentuate the natural shape of the tail, either way. Its in Great Condition. With only one missing part which is half of the mounting ... morebracket. No Biggie. This is a very charming Weather Vane which I purchased years ago in New Hampshire near Concord. It features a Butterfly seen n profile with his wings up. The Butterfly. The directionals and ball are all made out of cast iron and gilded over what looks to me like a grey green primer coat. Some of the gilding has worn away, but no rust has appeared on the iron elements. When I mounted this Butterfly I used a new steel rod and a collar to hold the ball in place. These I painted black. As he is now on his wooden stand. This Butterfly is 21 1/4 inches tall and 18 1/5 inches wide. The Butterfly himself is 12 1/2 inches long and 8 1/4 inches tall. The horizontal ... moreelement which acts as the arrow is 18 1/2 inches long and the directionals are 11 1/2 inches long. There is no damage to this Weather Vane. And, on the whole, this Butterfly is in pretty good shape. He still turns on his supporting rod and has a very cheerful aspect. Vintage Hammered Aluminum Weathervane- Directionals & Stand- Not Painted
This is an older weathervane. It is the directional and the stand. The stand looks to be hammered aluminum. The feet are adjustable to the angle you need. It is about 14 1/4" tall. The directional is about 12 3/4" long and the letters are about 23/4" long. I do not see any markings on it to know who it was made by or when it was made. It does look to be on the older side because of the defects on it while being made(such as some excess metal not trimmed off around the edges of the letters) It is in excellent condition. This is a charming Weather Vane featuring a Rooster and an interesting arrow which I picked up years ago near Salisbury. Maryland, which is the headquarters for Tyson's Chicken. All around there is serious chicken raising country. This Rooster seems to have had several coats of paint during his long lifetime. The last one being red. He is made from cut out iron sheeting. The Rooster and his arrow are one piece. Rather than being commercially produced, I tend to think that this Rooster was a one off produced by a very talented metal worker. I have never seen an arrow quite like his, with its wavy top and tulip shapes used for both the fletchings and the ... morepoint. As he is now on his wooden stand. This Rooster is 23 1/2 inches tall and 20 inches long. The Rooster himself is 8 1/4 inches tall and 7 1/4 inches from his breast to the back of his tail feathers. The arrow is 20 inches long, and the directionals are 15 1/4 inches long. Some of the paint is beginning to flake on the bottom of the ordinals. But other than that, this Rooster is in pretty good shape and still turns freely on his supporting rod. The photos give an exellent idea of the charm and cheerfullness of this Rooster Weather Vane.
