RARE ANTIQUE CIRCUS HORSE Weathervane on KING cast iron ARROW, primitive decor
Offering a wonderful OLD weather vane arrow with painted zinc CIRCUS HORSE prancing into the wind. This piece is is great shape. No holes, original patina, ready to hang! The entire set is 34" long, the arrow point end is cast iron, fitting onto a copper rod. The circus horse is firmly attached to the copper rod. Antique Cast Iron Ornate Weathervane Lightning Rod ARROW ~Looks to be Kretzer
ANTIQUE ORNATE IRON ARROW Measures 22.75" long. There are no breaks. Cracks, or repairs to this fancy old arrow. An eBay search shows me it looks just like a Kretzer but I don't see the name where it usually is. See my last photo. Don't know if they were ever unmarked or if it could wear down that much? We are not weathervane people. There is no glass. See photo 8.Should there be something there to hold the glass? We suspect so.Probably an easy fix for those accustomed to working with weathervanes.

Antique Cast Iron & Red Glass Weathervane Arrow, Glass ball & display mount
A great looking Antique Weathervane Arrow and Sun Colored Milk Glass Lightning Ball set up on a display base and mounted on a copper Lightning Rod. The items featured in this display all date to at leat the 1940's and likely are even older. The fancy cast iron arrow measures 18 inches long and has the original red tail glass and even though their is a crack in the one corner. It is firmly and solidly set into the iron frame. The old white milk glass ball is 4 inches in diameter and has a lovely lavender tint due to being exposed to the sun for many years. The entire piece stands 17 inches tall, is 18 inches wide and is set into a walnut base for display. Vintage Auth: Solid cast iron weathervane horse with Motion and makers mark
Antique Weathervane Horse. An old barn find.I believe to be the early 1900's or maybe later 1800's? I am not a weathervane expert so I am trying to present the best information I can.The entire weathervane is made of cast iron, since a magnet sticks to all pieces. This weathervane has a great finish from decades of exposure to the elements. Rain, sleet, snow, lightning, and birds. It measures 34" from the top of the horses head to the bottom of the base. The horse is 8"wide by 7"high, and the arrow is 12" wide. There is a makers mark on the bottom of the base but after a month of research, I still don't know who it belongs to. Here's a Great Antique 19th Century American Running Horse Weathervane with Copper Body and Cast Iron Head. Offered at NO RESERVE! The weathervane measures approximately 24 and 1/4" long and stands about 15" tall. For the age and use it's in Very Good Condition; it has a variegated verdigris and rust patination which to me looks phenomenal. The head is rusty but solid, and there appear to be several filled holes here and there. Under the head the seam is split somewhat but that could be repaired. Of course there are dents, dings, and so forth, but nothing I would rate as being negative. As far as the history, it came off a barn in Fair Haven, NJ, which was built in the 1870s, and remained in the same family until I acquired it recently. Although I'm not sure how old it is. I'm guessing early part of the 20th century. The paint on the rooster itself is real chalky and appears to be chalk paint. It will come off on your hands. The rooster is a heavy cast aluminum and is thick-bodied. Not slender like most. The rest of it is a cast iron base and a metal tube. It has a long bolt through it. The rooster looks like it used to thread on there but it is now loose and will come off. This would be a great decorative piece as it just has that"look" to it. The best part is this piece is marked'Kretzer' What a fabulous thing it is to find a piece marked by the maker or company. A bit of research has informed me that Kretzer weathervanes are from the early 1900's. St. Louis seems to be the home of the manufacturer. A few years ago. My brothers and I had the ominous job of cleaning out the farm house and barns our family built in the 1890's. We were thrilled to send one of our much younger limber cousin's up on the roof of the very old house to bring down the lightning rods. Vintage cast iron Pheasant weathervane topper in very good condition. It measures 29" long and 13" tall and the arrow is 3/4" wide. Where is sits on a pole is a1/4" opening. It weighs about 3 pounds. Not sure how old it is. The pheasant is held on with 2 screws into the arrow I do not know much about weathervanes or weathervane tops, so please look at pictures and bid accordingly. Large Ornate Cast Iron Weathervane ca. 1900 Serpant Motif
Here's a beautiful vintage cast iron weathervane. Circa 1900. This vane was originally on a building in Chicago. It has architectural characteristics that are distinctly different than weathervanes used on rural buildings. One end has a serpent tail motif. And appears to have been repaired with a hot rivet many years ago. The opposite end may be missing a small piece but it is hard to tell. Measurements are 34" x 34" It does not spin anymore due to its rusted patina. The stem of the vane is pressed into a piece of black conduit for display purposes. This will be removed for shipping. You may chose to put it into a piece of conduit for display in your garden.

Antique Cast Iron Lightning Rod / Weathervane Arrow Amber Glass w Globe Ends 20"
I purchased this Lightning Rod Arrow with Amber Textured Glass Tail Insert at a farm estate sale here in rural WV. It is a cast metal probably cast iron and has ornate decorative work. The glass ball had been broken years before and the farmer had tied the ends for the glass ball onto the arrow so I left them. They are some sort of light metal and one has a bend but can be straightened. The arrow measures 20" and I see no damage other than some oxidation and light scraping.

Antique Cast Iron Weathervane Arrow Base Bar Bracket Only
this is an old weathervane part. it is the long bar that holds the decorative section of the vane and on the opposite end there is the cast iron directional arrow. the design piece is missing but the 2 prong hookup is still on the rod. the center has the double loop for placing on the pole and it is 1 in. wide. the arrow section is 10 1/2 in. long ans 3 1/2 in. tall. haspitting in the metal from age and weather. it is 28 in. long total. i consider this a project piece. view my other hardware and heat register listings. can combine shipping.

Lightning rod arrow is in good condition structurally with some oxidation. Is missing glass pane. May have been partially painted at one time, unsure if original. Measure 21.5 x 4 inches. The cast iron portion is about 15 3/4" long x 3" tall and the copper tube is about 1/2" in diameter x 14" long. There's a little crack where the copper tube was drove in(it's study with no wiggle) otherwise no breaks or cracks. Up for auction is a metal tail cast iron fancy Weathervane arrow. This arrow measures 22 1/2" by 4 3/8" This arrow has the original metal insert which shows a small amount of rust through. This adds to the overall appearance as the arrow was obviously up on a barn or house for a very long time. Please review the pictures provided. There are no breaks or repairs to the arrow.
