Antique Crystal Glass Green Handle Pitcher Decanter& Crystal Stopper. 5& 3/4" tall, base is 2 inches round that it sits up on, measured around the fattest part of this bottle is 11& 1/4 inches round. Lip of pitcher has no chips or cracks! Holding it up close I can see a tiny shallow chip on inside rim won't cut you. Inside pitcher the stopper has left marks inside on the glass from being used over the decades. Handle is solid and very sturdy with no chips& no cracks. Now for the interesting part this has some big airbubbles in the glass and they are unpopped and give it a very unique look. I show them in my photos. I thought it was handblowned ... moreat first but this does have seams on it. Really beautiful looking in real life. 6 sided Stopper that sits into pitcher is heavy also is about 2& 3/4 inches tall/long and measured around the top of is about 3& 1/3 round. Green Stopper has wear to the frost at the bottom. Shallow chips fleabites to flat edge at bottom of this stopper plug. Minor wear to the top side I show a picture of the worse hardly noticeable from just looking at it on a table. No cracks, no hairlines has a green glow look to it even in normal houselight. I use a lot of pictures if/and descriptions please remember that. Please note that most of our items are vintage. Antique or second hand and buyers should expect wear, if you are expecting as new please look elsewhere! N ew items are so ld as such. This auction is for a very nice early 19th century Anglo Irish three ring fine cut glass decanter circa 1810-20. This nice piece purchased from a very prominent Washington D.C. estate. This auction is for the pair.But one is sadly damaged,So I am offering a non damaged decanter and an"AS-IS" decanter for the same money! This is an excellent example of a pre-Regency decanter. Obviously it decorated with the typical three ring neck,with the hand cut/etched sprigs,and mushroom stopper,see pictures) It measures 8 1/2" tall. This excellent Irish cut glass decanter was made during the end of Georgian period around 1810-20. It is in good condition,with surface abrasions to the body,stopper edges and very bottom for over 200 years of use! PAIR 18th CENTURY ENGLISH CUT GLASS LIQUOR DECANTERS Fantastic pair of highly detailed blown and cut glass decanters. 18th century, most likely of English or Irish origin. Classic triple ring formation with cut panels. 3 rings at top are cut in a diamond pattern with ribbing on neck and beautiful cut latticework and alternating oval pattern in the body. Bases are also cut and decorated in a starburst pattern. Both decanters have the original stoppers. Which match the design and fit snugly. Overall condition of this matched pair is excellent. Especially for the age of the pieces. Some wear is evident as expected with a 200 + year old pair of decanters, but this is an exceptionally nice pair with clean and symetrical lines, glass is still brilliant and reflective. Some old discoloration ... moreis seen on the fill lines. Very typical, and invisible when filled with colored liquors. Although stoppers are original, base of one stopper is broken off in interior, this is also invisible in use and can be ground and rounded again by a glass expert if desired. This pair does not have any documented provenance. However, I can pass on the following information which I was told, and may be of interest to the buyer: These decanters were purchased many years ago by a wealthy Seattle couple that collected many antiques, most notibly a large and world class collection of asian artifacts and folk art. When this couple recently decided to downsize, much of that collection was bequested to the asian collection at the Burke Museum and other non asian objects were sold as a seperate estate. This wonderful pair was aquired from the estate at this time. The bottles measure approximately 9.5" tall with stoppers. 4" in diameter. Which were obviously made to fit in a silver stand, now missing. The decanters are heavy free blown flint glass(lead crystal) cut in flutes. Each decanter has a heavy collar and its matching blown and cut stopper(each stopper fits its own bottle only, another sign of early hand manufacture) Each decanter is over 12 inches tall. They are made for a stand with rings whose diameter is between 3 1/2 and 4 1/2 inches across. I have noted the dimension on a photograph. Please see the detail photos below. Late 19th Century English Silver Plated Decanter Stand 3 Cut Glass Decanters
Late 19 th Century English Silver Plated Decanter Stand 3 Cut Glass Decanters This is a beautiful English Cut Glass Decanter Set with Silver Plated Stand. The base has a geometric swirling shape around the bottom of the piece that holds the decanters. The handle has a scroll detail at the base of the oval handle. The Decanters are cut and etched glass with an awesome geometric pattern with stars etched in the open spaces. There is a line of cut ovals around top of the geometric pattern. The stoppers are all cut at the top and base and have a dot design etched in between two cut lines in the middles. Dimensions: Frame is approximately 15” tall and 7 1/4” at widest part. The 3 decanters are approximately 8 ½” tall from base to top of spout. With the stopper two are 11 1/2” tall and one is 12” tall. They are 3 3/4” wide at widest part. ... moreFrame is etched with“S.E.W M.O.O 01” on the stand from a previous repair. Condition: This is an antique piece and does show wear commensurate with use. The stand is in good estate condition with very minor wear to the silver plating. This piece appears to have been repaired at some point as one section has been re- soldered. Two of the decanters have“4” etched into the glass around the spout and the other has“3” on it. Two of the stoppers have chips to the bottom and tops but not very noticeable unless really looking. All the stoppers have a few small flea bites and scratches also. One of the stoppers is a little bit thinner at the base. Since they were handmade, which is the reason it is taller than the others. The decanters are in great estate condition with just some flea bites around bottom of base and some manufactures flows as small bubbles throughout. These pieces may not have come as a set originally but are beautiful together and would make a great addition to any table or bar. The Decanters are very early possibly even late 18th Century. The Decanters are one of the finest pairs I have personally seen with Diamond pattern cut period designs throughout and triple ringed neck designs. Even the Stoppers are finely cut and are hand blown to fit each bottle perfectly. The Decanters display beautifully measuring approx 14-1/2" tall to the top of the stoppers or 11-1/4" tall at the lip by 4-1/2" across the bodies. They are also an excellent size for serving Whiskey and Scotch or Red and White Wine or whatever you wish to serve in high style as each hold approx 1400ml or 48 ounces. The Decanters are in amazing condition for the age showing no large chips and no cracks or repairs of any kind. Only the Stoppers show some chipping around the bases which is to be expected. There is some residue to one but nothing bad and may come out with a better washing. 3 Antique 1800s Tantalus Decanter Bottles Barware Set Elegant Vintage Cut Glass
This decanter set is very impressive! It includes the three original hand cut leaded crystal decanters that are hand blown and etched with deep symmetrical cuts. The tantalus features an oak body with heavy silver plated handle and corner details. Includes the key that was found with it. But I didn't try to lock with the key because I didn't want to take a chance and the pivoting top handle is now in the unlocked position so the bottles can be removed. The carrier is in excellent condition, and the bottles have only some small chips you would expect from light use and considerable age, also there is some cloud or residue inside the bottles which I did not try to clean. The bottles including stoppers are about 9" tall, bases are 3 1/4" square, entire tantalus is about 15" x 5 1/2" and 13" tall. Big Cranberry Glass Mary Gregory 3 sided - Decanter - Deer in Forest - Raindeer
We purchased a collection of Mary Gregory Glass that we will be offering for sale here on eBay. You can see the collection in our eBay store. Here is a lovely Mary Gregory BIG CRANBERRY GLASS DECANTER approx 9" tall to top of stopper/ approx 7 1/2" to lip of decanter. It has three sides-two of which are concave. On the flat side is a nice deer in a forest. On the back. Between the two concave sides is another forest-tree. The bottom looks like it had a pontil that has been polished. There are numerous bubbles in the glass-and at least one large blister(see photos it is on the top right of a back panel next to the seam-in a location that would be the area the deer is looking up toward) The seams on the glass ends below the neck. All of this makes me think ... morethis is a relatively old piece. But I do not know the date for sure. note infor found on the web re: Mary Gregory(1856–1908) was an known for her decoration of glass products at the in. She was particularly well known for her paintings of children, and such artwork has been referred to as Mary Gregory since the 1920s. However. Some believe that such artworks were actually from an earlier era, and the term was likely the result of marketing by the Westmoreland Glass Company. Much of the glass know as Mary Gregory most likely came from. Or. In any case. Many glass art enthusiasts continue to refer to such pieces as Mary Gregory. This charming antique glass set consists of the holder, a decanter with ground glass stopper, and 3 of the original 6 little glasses. The server is reverse painted a pale blue, with age-expected worn areas. On the outside, the painted decoration is of a stylized floral motif with wear/ fading to the paint. The little glasses have some tiny"flea bite" spots on the rims(as does the bottom edge of the stopper) The glasses have tiny bubbles in them. NY) antique dealer who had many beautiful items. The set has a rich emerald color and the glasses have a very interesting ribbed design. W. T. Company 3-piece Pharmacy Bottle Set, 1901 -1938, American Glass!
A set of three very nice highly collectible W.T. Co vintage dresser bottles hand painted with flowers and spring green trim. The flowers are primarily pink with yellow. The two small bottles are 4 1/2" tall and 1 1/4" across the bottom. The larger bottle is the same height. 4 1/2" high, but 2 1/2" across the bottom. The stoppers are flat topped and one of the small stoppers is chipped and cracked, see pictures. The other stopper in the small bottle is perfect. The large stopper has an"inside" line, in other words, the problem is inside of the glass not on the outside and may be original to the manufacture. It's not a break or a crack and the stopper is smooth. It's not a visual issue because it's only noticeable when you turn it over and examine it closely. Three very pretty dresser bottles. The smaller ... morebottles are marked W.T. CO A and USA on bottom. That means they were made by the“Whitall Tatum Company” which was the name used until 1938 when the glass works were bought by Armstrong. There were two locations used by Whitall Tatum. First the original site(upper works) located in Millville proper, and later the“lower works” in South Millville(formerly known as Schetterville) Eventually the South Millville site would become the center of activity for the glassworks. Whitall Tatum produced very large quantities of bottles and fruit jars throughout much of the mid- and late 19th century. Pharmacy. Druggist, barber, perfume, chemical and other types of bottles in various colors and styles were produced, and some of them are now avidly sought by antique bottle collectors. W-T is especially well-known for the production of tremendous quantities of prescription bottles, blown for hundreds of local pharmacies across the country, embossed with their names and addresses using interchangeable slug plates inserted into the mold. Antique 19th Century 3 Ring Decanter Pressed Mushroom Stopper Cut Crystal Glass
This lovely Three Ring Decanter measures about 12" tall with the stopper in. The woman whom I received this decanter told me that it was her great great grandfathers and dated back to the late 1800s. I don't know anything about old glass so I will leave that up to you. The decanter has a cut cross hatch pineapple pattern(which looks like a pineapple) on opposite sides of the decanter. It also has cut and etched flowers on opposing sides. The neck has 3 ring grips and the lowest of the 3 is faceted. I am not sure if the mushroom stopper was original to the piece as there is a very small amount of"wiggle" when placed in the decanter. And the cut design on the stopper has more lines than the bottom of the decanter. The stopper does form a tight enough seal to prevent leaking so perhaps they are original to each other.but I ... morecannot be sure. Either way they go together quite well. The decanter is in great overall condition considering its age. But there are some imperfections. There is a very small chip on the inside edge of the lip of the decanter that is slightly more than 1/16" across. There are also some fleabites to the bottom of the stopper. Antique Glass Cordial Absinthe Reverse Painted Tantalus + Decanter, 3 Glasses
Possibly Bohemian or French. This charming antique glass set consists of the holder, a decanter with ground glass stopper, and 3 of the original 6 little glasses. The server is reverse painted a pale blue, with age-expected worn areas. On the outside, the painted decoration is of a stylized floral motif with wear/ fading to the paint. The little glasses have some tiny"flea bite" spots on the rims(as does the bottom edge of the stopper) The glasses have tiny bubbles in them. The brass( banded closere is tarnished, but in excellent shape. It closes securely. Care must be given when closing the lid, so as not to damage the glasses. The metal collar that holds the glasses and decanter looks like nickel plated brass with some spots of corrosion. Check out my! When this was put in the sun back during the turn of the last century. It turns more purple. People did that a lot back then and would put them on the roof or just outside and made it even more appealing. They were thrown into ghost town middens and were sun colored naturally. Please scroll down the page to see additional photographs of this item. c1790s PAIR of ANGLO-IRISH 3 RING CUT GLASS DECANTERS/ CUT CRYSTAL DECANTERS Presented is a very fine quality pair of antique English or Irish cut crystal or cut glass decanters. These pieces were made the last quarter of the 1700s or in the early 1800s. They are a traditional three ring style decanter and they are very well-made. The three rings have all been polished into circular bands instead of cut. And they did a great job. The spaces between the rings and just under the bottom ring is panel cut. The bottom edge has nice groove cuts. The underside have polished pontils. The stoppers have star cut mushroom cap tops and fit well enough, although not perfectly in the decanters. The condition is excellent. There is a lot of wear to the bottom of the decanters. Just ... morethe kind you'd like to see in an old pair like this. One stopper has had a chip to the underside, which has been smoothed out, and the stopper still works. There are no breaks, no cracks, no splits, no dents, no other chips and no repairs. The height to the top of the stopper is between 9 3/4 and 10 1/8 inches. The maximum diameter of the body is about 4 5/8 inches. Good luck and bid with confidence. Decanter is 10 1/4" high with a 3 3/4" diameter base, and it is in excellent, original condition with no damage and no repair. The glass is clear with no sickness, and there appears to be a small grain of sand imbedded in the glass in one spot. The stopper is missing. Cut Glass Paneled Decanter Absolutely FABULOUS 19th century paneled glass decanter with a beautiful grape motif& spearhead' shaped stopper. It is in very good condition with no chips or cracks. There is some hazing on the glass from it's age but other than that it is perfect. Stands about 11" tall I specialize in vintage and unique bar ware and glass pieces& I do a lot of research to authenticate them. There will be times when a piece might slip by. Where I may be'fooled' by reproductions or get a brand name wrong completely. I have made the best effort possible& I try to provide plenty of photos so you can see exactly what you are buying. 1960's Vintage Brass Locking Tantalus with 3 Glass Decanters. Scotch, Gin, Rye This listing is for a very nice vintage tantalus decanter set. It is made of solid brass. It has a locking mechanism which keeps the bottles inside(please note you need a small pad lock and it is not included) This set includes the original decanters. Each one has nice gold lettering on the bottle. There is one for. Scotch, Gin, Rye. The bottom of the tantalus is green felt. All of the bottles are free from any chips or cracks. You will get exactly what is shown in the pictures. Overall condition is very good. The brass has a nice patina to it. The entire unit measures 9 1/2" x 3 3/4" x 10" as shown. Pair dates late 1800s. Each has a cork with metal frame and glass ball top knob that pulls up to break the seal on an airtight bottle. Corks no longer fit tightly. 2-ring bottle measures 10" tall x 4.5" wide. No chips. Cracks or damage. Cork has some rusting on interior. 3-ring bottle measures 10.25" tall x 5" wide. No chips or cracks. Body has some scuffing on the glass. Cork has a hairline through the glass knob. This is an antique. Victorian Era Bohemian Blown Etched Glass Decanter w/ 3 Liqueur Glasses
This classically Bohemian. Etched glass decanter stands 8" tall to the top of the stopper and 4 1/4" wide. The etching on the front and back shows a lovely design that looks like a peacock's tail. One side shows a building with a flag flying from the roof, while the other side depicts a hare scampering through the bushes. There is a very tiny flake on the rim of the decanter which you can see if you look closely at the upper right of the photo of the rim. The only other defect is a negligible chip on the bottom of the decanter. This comes with 3 liqueur glasses with similar etching to match the front& back of the decanter. These glasses are perfect.
