This beautiful decanter is rimmed in Sterling Silver and has the Makers hall marks. The Hall Marks indicate that this decanter was made in Birmingham England, in 1862, and that th e rim is sterling silver. I am not sure of the maker I think that it is Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 CSG over&Co into a shield Charles S Green& CO. This is a heavy well made decanter about 5" tall. 4 1/2" at the bass and 1 1/2" at the spout. It is in excellent condition. There is tarnishing on the silver. But the glass is mint. This pair of decanters could precede the American Brilliant Period and date to c. 1860's. But they do show many of the ABP qualities. Nice and sharp cut diamond'Russian' design(See Pictures) Note that the stopper on the left(1st Picture) seems to be original and seats well. But the other stopper is not original and does not sit perfectly. See Pictures) There are some minor flakes to the stoppers and some tiny flakes to the rims. But both decanters are in good condition. Pr.English/Irish Cut Glass Decanters,Mushroom Tops 1810
This is a matched pair but there are some slight differences. One decanter stands 9.25" the other is 9 3/16" without tops. They are 8.25" and 8 1/16" One is 4 1/16" across the bottom and the other is 4 3/16" One bottle has a flake chip on the bottom rim as shown. Same one that has a bubble in the bottom as shown. It also has two flakes on the mushroom top on two points of the edge. The other bottle has a couple of small nicks in the horizontal ribbing on the top as shown. There are several of the diamond points on each bottle that have pinhead chips on their points. The only damage that shows without inspecting them is the chip on the bottom rim. Up for sale is this beautiful pair of VINTAGE CRANBERRY DECANTERS WITH CUT GLASS STOPPERS. They stand 10" to the top of the stoppers and 4 1/8" wide. Please note in picture#2. There is flaw but it cannot be felt on either side. The glass is rippled and the bottom has a star cut into the glass. The metal necks have splits on one side. Each stopper has some chips on the bottom but cannot be seen when inserted. Insurance included. Posted with New Jersey residents 7% sales tax.

20thc English WEBB Cut Glass 2 DECANTERS & TANTALUS w/Key SIGNED
Offered for your consideration is this handsome English locking tantalus set. The two cut glass decanters were made in the Thomas Webb factory in the first half of the twentieth century. They fit in a mahogany wood tantalus with silverplated fittings. The decanters have a nice crosshatch cut and original faceted stoppers. They are 10 1/4" high and 3 1/2" across at the bases. The bottoms have the acid-etched"Webb England" mark. One of the decanters is excellent with no problems of any kind. The other has a small repair on the rim-fortunately not at all noticeable but see photo to evaluate. The tantalus measures 12 3/4" high and 11" long. It is also in good condition but the wood does need to be refinished. The silver mounts are very nice and marked"P.B. S. Ltd. Made in England" The original locking key ... moreis included. Classic triple ring formation with cut panels. 3 rings at top are cut in a diamond pattern with ribbing on neck and beautiful cut latticework and alternating oval pattern in the body. Bases are also cut and decorated in a starburst pattern. Both decanters have the original stoppers. Which match the design and fit snugly. Overall condition of this matched pair is excellent. Especially for the age of the pieces. Some wear is evident as expected with a 200 + year old pair of decanters, but this is an exceptionally nice pair with clean and symetrical lines, glass is still brilliant and reflective. Some old discoloration ... moreis seen on the fill lines. Very typical, and invisible when filled with colored liquors. Although stoppers are original, base of one stopper is broken off in interior, this is also invisible in use and can be ground and rounded again by a glass expert if desired. This pair does not have any documented provenance. However, I can pass on the following information which I was told, and may be of interest to the buyer: These decanters were purchased many years ago by a wealthy Seattle couple that collected many antiques, most notibly a large and world class collection of asian artifacts and folk art. When this couple recently decided to downsize, much of that collection was bequested to the asian collection at the Burke Museum and other non asian objects were sold as a seperate estate. This wonderful pair was aquired from the estate at this time. The bottles measure approximately 9.5" tall with stoppers. 4" in diameter. Pair Antique Vtg Cut Glass Bar Decanters Numbered Hand Made & Well Made
Pair of Handsome antique cut glass decanters. Not signed but well made. One decanter is etched on the stopper 81 and on the inside neck of the decanter is also an etched 81. The other decanter stopper is marked 10 and the bottle is marked on the outside below the top on the neck 6. So that one is a marriage but in the same style and from the same maker. It sits nice just not as tight as the 81 bottle and stopper. At first glance they appear to be the same. But looking again you can some subtle differences. One is slightly shorter. This ones neck flares out more. The verticle and horizontal cut are wider. This one also has a cut star bottle where the others is polished. The shape is slightly different. This pair is really striking and made by hand as you can tell by the differences noted above. The height is approx. 9" tall with stopper ... morex 3 3/4" at the widest portion. They are both in very nice condition. The stopper of 81 has a few small chips on the bottom portion and at the top where the points are. See photos. The bodies on both have no cracks or chips. They are slightly hazey on the inside but very minor. The 81 is the better of the 2. There are the normal scratches on the base from age. 81 weights 2.6 lbs and the 10/6 weights 2.2 lbs Please roll over all 12 photos with mouse for close up and details as these are also part of the description. Pair Early Bohemian Cut Glass Bottles / Decanters Engraved Scenic Flute Diamond
Early Pair of Bohemian Cut Glass Decanters with Engraved Woodland Scene. C.1870. This gorgeous pair is full of amazing detail. The ring neck has facet cut fluting down to the top of the body which is engraved with wonderful woodland scene with leaping elk/ deer and scrolling cartouch designs alternating around the top. The corset part of the body is then diamond cut in the center and then panel flute cuts at the bottom. The base is trellis crosshatch cut to match the top of the mushroom stoppers. A really wonderful matching pair. Both decanters are in great condition. Especially for the age. I find one shallow flake on the very bottom outer edge of one decanter and two on the other. Very small& difficult to notice. As they blend with the cutting of the base. One of the stoppers has a chipped edge/end, at the bottom end of the stopper) ... morewhich can be seen well in photo#6. easily polished) and last I find a shallow flake on the underside of one stopper, very smooth& very old. Which were obviously made to fit in a silver stand, now missing. The decanters are heavy free blown flint glass(lead crystal) cut in flutes. Each decanter has a heavy collar and its matching blown and cut stopper(each stopper fits its own bottle only, another sign of early hand manufacture) Each decanter is over 12 inches tall. Stoppers are numbered according to size and have corresponding numbers on the decanter necks[11. 12& 17] Movable top handle secures the bottle in place. Side lock designed to protect use. Beautiful detailed decorative motifs on brass. Item possibly had a gold wash at one time. Beautiful hardware on the sides of base. Included in the center is an unreadable monogram(one or possibly two letters) Brass is heavily hallmarked on both ends to include“crown] ~ Betjemann’s ~ Patent ~ London ~ 14062” and“crown] ~ The Tantalus” Ta ntalus Measurements: Height 9.25” Length 12” Width 5” Bottle Measurements: Height 7” Width 2-3/8” Condition: ... moreALABASTER: EXCELLENT condition with minor wear to the base. There are two unidentifiable holes which might at one time have been used to secure a maker's plate; DECANTER#1: EXCELLENT condition with no issues; DECANTER#2: EXCELLENT condition with exception of a small chip on one lower corner; DECANTER#3: The neck of the middle decanter at one time had an issue and has been removed by grinding down the neck making pouring liquids difficult. The base of the ground neck is rough with chippettes but does hold stopper in place. On the base is a small chip and a chip to one corner; KEYHOLE: Appears askew but tightens up when key is inserted. Unfortunately. The key is missing! WOODEN BASE: At one time base most probably was covered with velvet. This covering is missing and underpads(possibly original) show signs of wear. Late 19 th Century English Silver Plated Decanter Stand 3 Cut Glass Decanters This is a beautiful English Cut Glass Decanter Set with Silver Plated Stand. The base has a geometric swirling shape around the bottom of the piece that holds the decanters. The handle has a scroll detail at the base of the oval handle. The Decanters are cut and etched glass with an awesome geometric pattern with stars etched in the open spaces. There is a line of cut ovals around top of the geometric pattern. The stoppers are all cut at the top and base and have a dot design etched in between two cut lines in the middles. Dimensions: Frame is approximately 15” tall and 7 1/4” at widest part. The 3 decanters are approximately 8 ½” tall from base to top of spout. With the stopper two are 11 1/2” tall and one is 12” tall. They are 3 3/4” wide at widest part. ... moreFrame is etched with“S.E.W M.O.O 01” on the stand from a previous repair. Condition: This is an antique piece and does show wear commensurate with use. The stand is in good estate condition with very minor wear to the silver plating. This piece appears to have been repaired at some point as one section has been re- soldered. Two of the decanters have“4” etched into the glass around the spout and the other has“3” on it. Two of the stoppers have chips to the bottom and tops but not very noticeable unless really looking. All the stoppers have a few small flea bites and scratches also. One of the stoppers is a little bit thinner at the base. Since they were handmade, which is the reason it is taller than the others. The decanters are in great estate condition with just some flea bites around bottom of base and some manufactures flows as small bubbles throughout. These pieces may not have come as a set originally but are beautiful together and would make a great addition to any table or bar. The Decanters are very early possibly even late 18th Century. The Decanters are one of the finest pairs I have personally seen with Diamond pattern cut period designs throughout and triple ringed neck designs. Even the Stoppers are finely cut and are hand blown to fit each bottle perfectly. The Decanters display beautifully measuring approx 14-1/2" tall to the top of the stoppers or 11-1/4" tall at the lip by 4-1/2" across the bodies. They are also an excellent size for serving Whiskey and Scotch or Red and White Wine or whatever you wish to serve in high style as each hold approx 1400ml or 48 ounces. The Decanters are in amazing condition for the age showing no large chips and no cracks or repairs of any kind. Only the Stoppers show some chipping around the bases which is to be expected. This is a great late 19th century locking oak two bottle decanter tantalus holder- It is in good condition with an aged patina- The two decanters are blown molded with cut bases and details- they are in overall good condition with some minor chipping around the bases and one chip on a base corner- the cut stoppers have chips around the inserted portions- I have tried to show the condition in the photos- The tantalus is in overall great condition with a locking top that swivels upward to allow the decanters to be tipped and lifted out- This is a nice size measuring roughly 9.5"l x 5"d x 12"h- each bottle measures roughly 3.25" sq x 9"h with stopper- It is probably either English or American made- Great looking! I purchased both of these at an Estate Sale and believe they are pre-1970 due to the fact most of the items were antiques. These are both in excellent condition. Green and Gold Decanter 12" tall(decanter is 10" top is 2" 5" round at widest part. Thick green glass with gold 3D points. No chips or cracks. Blown Glass Beautiful Gold color decanter(you can see the bubbles in the glass) 18" tall(bottle is 12" tall and topper is 6" tall) 6" round at widest part in middle. Absolutely unbelievable pair of Victorian decanters. What's the chances of finding one of these let alone a matching pair. The combination of colors and art work on these are just stunning and then there is the sterling tops of the decanters Which appear to depict a boy and girl with the wings snuggling and a angora goat being pulled by a boy and girl with wings. The tops are marked Sterling and 925 and there is 3 Hall marks that I cannot get to picture well or figure out. I can take credit cards and I have a three month layaway. I do not have the stoppers but stoppers can be purchased. They measure a hair over 10 inches tall and a hair over 5 inches wide. You are bidding on a wonderful pair of decanters by Echt Bleikerstall measuring 10 1/2" tall. This wonderful set of cut glass decanters are in excellent condition with no nicks. Chips or flakes. The cutting is present on the stopper and the sides of the decanter(ovals) and overall they are quite striking. The inside of the stopper is frosted and one of the decanters retains a Bleikerstall sticker. A great set. It is 6 1/2 inches without the stopper(not sure it is the original stopper) The stopper has some dings. The one on the right is in pretty good condition, some small dings on the topper. Antique Locking Oak and Brass Tantalus Caddy 3 Cut Glass Decanters
Antique locking oak and brass tantalus caddy with three cut glass decanters with cane pattern. The overall measurement is 12 1/2" high(including handle) x 14" wide x 5 1/4" deep. The overall condition is excellent. The key is original and included. The locking mechanism is in excellent working condition. The top of the tantalus rotates up to allow the decanters to be removed. The polished brass finish on the center handle has worn off to the brass. The decanters are 8 1/2" high(to the top of the stopper) x 3 1/4" x 3 1/4" I have not been able to remove one of the stoppers from its decanter. There is a very small amount of clear liquid inside this decanter(less than a teaspoon) The other two stoppers have slightly flattened areas on the rounded sides on the region that fits onto the decanter. I have tried to show ... morethis in the 9th photo. There are two tiny"flea bites" on the very end that fits into the decanter on one stopper and one very tiny"flea bite" on the other also on the end edge where it fits into the decanter. The decanter on the left in the first photo has slightly milky areas on the onside base. Also. On the middle decanter there is an indentation in the middle outside of the base that I am assuming is the remainder of the pontil mark. I have tried to show this in the 12th photo. The bases of the decanters are polished. There are no chips or cracks in the decanters. The fitted green felts in the caddy that the decanters sit on have been replaced. Featuring a rare pair of cut and engraved decanters- no stoppers. I believe this is a version of the Hollow Diamond pattern. Gray cut floral engraving. 16-point star bases. Unsigned. They stand about 10 3/8" tall. One is flared at the mouth a little more. The overall condition is excellent. There is minor flaking to the exteriors. Age wear is present on the bases with some surface wear as well. There is very minor flaking to the mouths. No major damage. Rose petal type cutting on the shoulders- classic form. The bases and body shapes vary slightly since these were handmade. They weigh almost 2 pound each. I don't know the maker- possibly of French origin. High quality antique crystal. These are American pieces. Dating to the late 1800s or early 1900s. The glass is fabulously cut with thistle blossom and thistle leaf designs, appropriate for scotch. The glass is unsigned, but the quality suggests a high end maker like Sinclair, Hawkes, Libby, etc. The stoppers are covered in a heavy layer of sterling silver, with a wreath of thistle blossoms and leaves surrounding the central cartouche. Body of Decanter is Etched into a Floral pattern with a Basket of Roses and Floral as the main theme. This is a running pattern through out the Decanter's with this Floral pattern also on the stoppers. The stoppers are original to the Decanters because they are designed to fit the top. One does not fit the other. The stoppers are individualized. The body of the glass is approximately 1/8 thick with the bottom approximately a 1/4 of an inch thick. Finely crafted, each bottle of mallet form with faceted step-cut neck rings and paneled shoulder; the body cut with field of diamonds. Unmarked, the mushroom stoppers cut with 28 point star, the bases with 32 point star. Dimensions: Each: 9.5" high x 4.375" diameter. Total Weight: 4.8 lbs. Condition: Overall. The decanters are in fair condition with appropriate signs of age. They are in overall ok condition with no cracks or repairs. High point chipping throughout. Light scratching and scuffing here and there, ships and fritting to feet. And was transferred to Sheffield in 1832. After the founder's death the business was continued under the style of William Hutton by his son William Carr Hutton. The firm was transformed in William Hutton& Sons in 1864 and William Hutton& Sons Ltd from 1893 to 1930. Condition: Locking key with sliding bar door in the front and bar rack in the rear. These are English Wheel Cut Crystal Decanters. They are in exceptional shape. There is one minor chip seen on the fourth picture. That chip is on one stopper and about one centimeter. Feel free to ask any questions. I tried to capture the sharp and clear edges in the pictures. Bottoms show wear on a flat surface which is a GREAT sign showing age and high quality. Sorry.
