This is a wonderful vintage hand blown. Hand painted decanter. I believe it is German- don't know for sure. I believe it is an enamel type of paint- but don't know for sure. I think it is old- but can't say how old! I believe it is hand blown- based on bubbles and the bottom. Some residue on the inside- see photos. Wonderful peasant woman. Marked with a"7" I think- on the bottom. The bottom of the stopper is also marked with what looks like a"G" see photos. With the stopper. It measures about 10" tall. It is about 3 5/8" square. This is an Antique Hand Blown Light Purple Glass Decanter/Bottle that has Raised letters on the glass on the base PATD April 21st 1896. You can tell by the Craftsmanship that this is a Very old Bottle and was Hand Blown as there are bubbles in the glass and at the top. The lip is uneven. There are no other marks on the bottle and I am unclear of what it's original use was for. I am guessing maybe perfume or Lavender water? It seems kind of small for a whiskey bottle, but it could have been. Due to this I do not know where it was made either. Maybe French or English? It measures aprox 8 3/4" tall and 2 3/8" square at the base. In Wonderful Vintage condition with minor scratches and imperfections in the glass. But no Breaks, Chips or Cracks. Antique Very Old Etched Wine Decanter Bottle with Stopper Blown Glass Pontil
I'm pretty sure this decanter is over 200 years old. I am not for certain. But I have seen decanters with this same pattern and style in books and on the internet claiming to be this old. The item is not in great condition, but it's in decent condition. The only chips on the stopper are on the underside of the patterning. There are two sizable chips, but they are not readily noticeable until close observation since they are underneath the stopper patterning. The top ring of the three rings on the neck is damaged. There is about a 1/2" piece that is no longer present. The other rings appear to be in good condition. The inside is somewhat dirty and could use a cleaning, but there isn't much haze, just some build up. I do not detect any flea bites in the body. The body does have bubbles and inclusions. They are minimal and sparsely ... morescattered. The etched pattern is of grapes and leaves. There is also a vertical patterning running along the base. The base has a star pattern with a pontil in the middle. It has ample base wear. I do not detect much damage on the base, if any at all. I know a little bit about glass but this bottle has me stumped. The lid has a fruit finial. But this doesn't look or feel like Italian glass. There are lots of imperfections and pieces of soot in the glass, which makes me think it's English or American. Look at the line of soot under the finial. Lovely controlled bubbles. When you're handling the bottle it feels like the maker intended the lid to be used as a little'nipper' cup, it sits in your hand very well. Early Bohemian Austrian Blown Glass Decanter w Stopper/ Scent Bottle Enameled c.1860- 1880. This is wonderful blown glass decanter/ bottle with stopper. It is green glass with hand painted flowers traveling around the body of the bottle which has a type of melon ribbing(12 sections) at the top of the bottle body with two rows of blown out beading separating the bottom half of melon ribbing. There is gold gilding between each section on the top and bottom. Much is worn away. The enameled flowers show little wear with strong color. The decanter/ bottle is in wonderful condition for the age. No chips, or cracks. The bottle was blown from the top and has a polished rim, no pontil on the base. The stopper is blown to match the shape of the bottle and has a teardrop center and an air bubble in the top. A rare and unique example of early Austrian ... moreor Bavarian Art Glass. No marks. The bottle stands 9 1/4" tall with stopper and 6 1/2" tall without stopper in place. These are beautiful. history/maker and age unknown. found in Denver several years ago. Hand blown and wheel cut design. The rims are fire polshed as is the long neck of the bottle. Bottle has a cork covered with a silverplated stopper cover. The tumblers/Glasses are fluted. These are really beautiful and fun to use. This decanter/ genie bottle will surely add a bit of nostalgia to your home. This is a hand-blown piece and exhibits the typical indications of such: a couple of air bubbles throughout from the manufacturing process. However. The stopper has a seam line so that indicates it is pressed glass, from a mold. But the actual bottle looks very much to be hand-blown. The piece is in terrific condition- no chips. Cracks, or detectable scratches- just some water residue that can be fixed with a CLR or Lime-Away soak. I have washed it twice before with just warm water and soap, but never with residue-removing chemicals. Also, there is a very subtle wobble to the base of the decanter but it does not present an issue; the bottle is still sturdy. See photos for approximate measurements.

Note I can not make out the maker if you know who signed this piece please let us know. This piece is with lots of color purple. Blue, brown, red with flowers and leaves on the front and sides with dark green and gold on the bottom. The decanter or bud vase is in very good condition with miner ware. Vintage Country Antique, Brown Glass Blown, Swirl, Whiskey,Gin Decanter Bottle
This decanter is in excellent condition. It has no cracks or chips. It was hand blown as has the matching stopper. Both bottle and stopper have a“broken” potil. They also both have many tiny air bubbles of similar size. The base of the decanted has numerous tiny wear scratches and little paint specs. Attesting to its age. The upper neck and lip are very slightly tilted and not applied as you would expect in a hand blown piece that was made before 1850. This decanter also has a bonus. There are hand painted yellow flowers resembling yellow Primrose with green stems and leaves, on the side on the bottle. This paint is also very old making it a really nice honest early American country antique. If you don't like old paint on your antique bottle, it can easily be removed without leaving a trace.
