These are in great condition free of any cracks or chips. They could stand to be cleaned up a bit. They have some salt build-up from use which I find ... morequite cool actually(which is why I did not clean them) These are some rarer colors. The large one which measures slightly over 4" inches wide and the others are right around 3" They also have some bubbles present and some swirling which I tried to show in the pictures. These are very consistent with some of the more decorated Japanese floats. The person I got them from actually said that their father likely brought them back from Japan. As he spent 3 years there. I will leave that up to the purchaser to decipher though as I am not an expert on these items. This is a three day auction and I am starting the bidding at 1 cent and leave it up to the bidders to decide the value. Please be sure to ask all questions prior to bidding and if you have a little more knowledge to offer that is also more than welcome.

Boston & Sandwich Blown Molded Canary Cologne
Boston& Sandwich Blown Molded Canary Cologne 5 1/2" H. x 2 1/2" Dia. 1840- 1870 Ref: The Glass Industry in Sandwich(Barlow/Kaiser) Vol. 3 Pg. 117"A clear glass cologne identical to this one was dug in almost perfect condition at the site of the Boston& Sandwich Glass Company. It is so heavy that it holds very little. There are six large convex circles around the body. With six almond-shaped ovals above. The stopper has an air trap in its center. Indicating that it was blown in a mold. The exterior of this cologne and stopper are somewhat clouded. Which is quite strange as the interior appears to be glossy. There is a small bruise on one of the lower points which does not deter from the overall look of the cologne. In fact you have to feel it before seeing it. I have tried to photo in picture#3. 1939 CATALOG- MACLAY COLLECTION of EARLY AMERICAN GLASS & POTTERY -BLOWN MOLDED
An Interesting Auction Catalog- Early American Glass and Ceramics. Collection of Alfred B. Maclay” The catalog to an auction held in New York by Parke-Bernet on March 23-25th. 1939. description continues below the picture- DISCUSSION: The Maclay Collection was one of the finest collections of early American glass ever assembled privately. It included a great number of rare and unusual pieces. And rare forms and colors. The collection took several sales to disperse this was the only sale to also feature American ceramics. This catalog features two introductory essays by Helen McKearin. Alfred Barmore Maclay[1871-1944] was the grandson of one of the owners of the Knickerbocker Ice Company. Which in 1881 was the largest ice producer in the country. His father was president of Knickerbocker Ice and also of the Knickerbocker Trust Company which, ... morethrough a series of mergers, eventually would become the Bank of New York. He enlisted in the US infantry to fight the Spanish American War eventually obtaining the rank of 2nd Lieutenant. Although he wanted to study art in Paris, his parents insisted on business experience. Though always very artistic and creative, he agreed to the family’s demands to become an experienced businessman working with the family businesses until around age 30. Having made several trips to Europe. He left the family businesses for a two year“grand tour. Upon his return from Europe, he refused to return to the family businesses instead focusing on the management of his personal wealth and the cultivation of his creative interest, including being an active official and exhibitor at horse shows. Maclay was an ASPCA board member and an accomplished horseman. He served as president of the American Horse Show Association(now the United States Equestrian Federation) from 1926-1936 and served on the Show Committee of the National Horse Show for thirty years, including as Chairman in 1916. In 1912 he purchased a property in Millbrook. NY which he named Killearn and spent his summers in New York

It is double-hulled. Blown glass with a solution of silver nitrate coating the interior. These large vases were made in Bohemia in the latter part of the 19 th century. They are hand painted with a yellow and red ... morebird above red and yellow enamel roses with dark green leaves. They have a classic baluster shape with a flared trumpet neck. The ribbing appears to be on the inside of the glass. As the outside is smooth, except for the interior of the trumpet rim, where the ribbing can be felt. There were once bands of black and yellow enamel encircling the vases. These bands have almost disappeared. Remnants of black enamel bands are on the trumpet tops. Old Blown Molded Flint Glass Decanter with original stopper, Great condition
Old Glass collectors will love this piece. I think it is early Pairpoint or Mount Washington. But could be from other manufacturer. It is not signed. Certainly 19th century. Blown and molded with a beautifully polished pontil. It retains it's original stopper. The only damage is some scratching on the base. As would be expected, and a couple of very small losses on the stopper at the intersecting point, Otherwise I see no chips, or cracks, no crizzling or other signs of sick glass. Heavy weight. About 5 lbs, and large, standing 15" to top of stopper, and about 6" at widest point. A very nice early piece and a great buy at this no reserve. Low start auction.

Great Vintage Chinese Japanese Blown molded Celluloid figures fisherman swordman
Up for auctin are 2 old what I think are celluloid blown mold figures. These are like the things I used to see made in the fairs and carnivals when I was younger so I am thinking they are from the 1960'2 or so. The figures depict a fisherman and a swordsman and I believe they are Japanese guys. The are in good condition needing some cleaning. The measure a little over 7 inches tall and the fisheramn does not set up right due to slight melting of the bottom for some reason. These will make a nice addition to your collection so take a look and make a bid. di,RcmdId ViewItemDescV4,RlogId p4%60bo7%60jtb9%3Fuk%601d72f%2Bishhov%3C%3Edi-13f1caa6b38-0xf3-

Small Antique Hand Blown-Sand Molded Green Cylindrical Medicine Bottle
Description This little bottle looks as if it were made by a novice. The upper part is mottled like the sand in the mold wasn't tamped down hard enough and the glass is a lot thicker on one side indicating it wasn't turned long enough for the glass to cool. The seams go all the way to the lip which is uneven and has a small crack. The crack may be the result of the change in temperature and doesn't go all the way through at this point. It would be good to get it into a controlled atmosphere though. It's got a pale green tint and I think that comes from age and it was originally clear. I have no idea what it held and it's not marked. It's 3-3/4" tall. 5/8" across the bottom and there is no cork or stopper. For more cool and unusual things visit punkystreasures.com! Awesome & Early c 1840's Blown Molded 12 Rid Carafe, prob Pittsburgh, Cobalt!
Wonderful. Early blown molded bottle in cobalt blue blown in a 12 rib mold dating to the middle part of the 1800's, probably earlier. The gaffer who made this bottle knew his stuff, as you can see the twisted neck is perfectally executed and wonderful to look at. An awesome bottle in wonderful condition, standing a full 12 inches high, with no post manufacturing damage, no chips or cracks to be found anywhere, just a bit of mold roughness on one side I tried to photograph, but up here it won't stop snowing, so I will keep updating the images. Bookmark this and keep looking. Never had a stopper. It's a carafe. On the rare occasion one of these has shown up at one of the high end glass auctions they are generally attributed to Pittsburgh. But I can't guarantee that, and they have traditionally sold in the past at the thousand ... moredollar level in cobalt blue. This is being listed for far less then that. Guaranteed as described as all my listings always are. But please read everything as to terms, shipping etc and email any questions before bidding. The opening bid amount you see is my minimum with no further reserves, and includes free shipping to the lower 48 states, all other destinations must be calculated, and payment by the usual means is expected within 3 days of the auctions close. If I've forgotten something email those questions. KEEP WATCHING AS I WILL BE UPDATING THIS LISTING. THANKS!

ANTIQUE AMERICAN STIEGEL GLASS BLOWN & MOLDED -CLASSIC 1914 LIMITED EDITION BOOK
Stiegel Glass” By Frederick W. Hunter. Published in Boston and New York by Houghton Mifflin Company in 1914. Edition limited to 420 signed copies. description continues below the picture- DISCUSSION: A classic. Well-written and researched study of American glassmaking. As glass historian Kirk Nelson, writing in Ames& Ward's bibliography of American antiques, noted, Frederick William Hunter"set a standard of excellence for factory histories that seldom has been surpassed. Although Hunter, working in collaboration with his brother-in-law and fellow Americana collector J.B. Kerfoot, was overzealous in his attempts to attribute much too much glass to the Stiegel factory, his book nonetheless"remains the most comprehensive study of this celebrated eighteenth-century Pennsylvania glass manufactory. In the first two major sections ... moreHunter provides a detailed biography of Henry William Stiegel and illuminates the account with information drawn from period documents. Typescripts of many of these documents are presented in the Appendix.the second section explores the materials, techniques and products of the Stiegel glasshouses. Hunter's style and presentation have also been widely praised- Helen McKearin notes in her preface to the Dover edition of'Stiegel Glass' that"in all American glass literature. Stiegel Glass' alone approaches belles letters. George McKearin once wrote"As a beginner in collecting American glass I pored for hours over the pages of this fascinating book. Hunter was a well-known collector of antique glass of all kinds. And much of his collection of American glass was presented to the Metropolitan Museum of Art's American Wing galleries in 1913. DESCRIPTION: Hardcover. 7.5"x10.5" 272 pages, 8 color plates and 159 black& white illustrations; publisher's yellow cloth with gilt titles and a blue& white pitcher on the cover. ANTIQUE IRISH GLASS BLOWN MOLDED & CUT - SCARCE 1924 WALTER HARDING COLLECTION
Old Irish Glass. The Walter Harding Collection. Including old English& other pieces” Published in Liverpool; privately published in 1925. description continues below the picture- DISCUSSION: An infamous collection within the small world of Irish glass collectors-though more through guilt by association than actual defect. Harding had been one of the best customers of Elizabeth Graydon Stannus. Collector, glass factory owner, author of a well-known book on antique Irish glass, and antiques dealer. Unfortunately, Stannus has also been called"the greatest villain in the manipulation of the history of Irish Glass" McConnell, Magazine Antiques, Sept.2004) In a talk in 1924 she seems to have obliquely admitted that she had produced some fake Irish glass using genuine old molds. And she was also thought to have"improved" ... moresome of her genuine old pieces with extra engraving and cutting. As if that was not enough to endear her to the hearts of local collectors, she also admitted to melting down pieces of antique Irish colored glass and using the metal to produce new pieces that would have the correct antique color. Such stories inevitably have endings, and this one came symbolically in 1936 when the Harding Collection was auctioned by Sotheby's for about 1/12th of what he had paid for it. The irony of that is that the collection is not known to have had an over-abundance of fakes. Although in the auction, and in this earlier, private catalog, some of the date attributions are improbably early. Still, the collection was large and varied, and is presented elegantly, with most of the glass photographed against a black background. And if you are looking for a famous collection of Irish glass(for better or worse) this is it. DESCRIPTION: Hardcover. 6.5"x10" 108 pages, many black& white plates. Inscribed by Harding to HJC Grierson, the noted Scottish literary scholar and critic who wrote books about Tennyson, Donne, Blake, Scott, Byron and Swinburne and edited the Oxford Book of 17th Cen
