This auction is for a very nice early 19th century Anglo Irish three ring fine cut glass decanter circa 1810-20. This nice piece purchased from a very prominent Washington D.C. estate. This auction is for the pair.But one is sadly damaged,So I am offering a non damaged decanter and an"AS-IS" decanter for the same money! This is an excellent example of a pre-Regency decanter. Obviously it decorated with the typical three ring neck,with the hand cut/etched sprigs,and mushroom stopper,see pictures) It measures 8 1/2" tall. This excellent Irish cut glass decanter was made during the end of Georgian period around 1810-20. It is in good condition,with surface abrasions to the body,stopper edges and very bottom for over 200 years of use! There is a factory flaw in the glass under close inspection.as seen in picture 12)but rest assure ... moreit has been with this fine decanter since day one! Classic triple ring formation with cut panels. 3 rings at top are cut in a diamond pattern with ribbing on neck and beautiful cut latticework and alternating oval pattern in the body. Bases are also cut and decorated in a starburst pattern. Both decanters have the original stoppers. Which match the design and fit snugly. Overall condition of this matched pair is excellent. Especially for the age of the pieces. Some wear is evident as expected with a 200 + year old pair of decanters, but this is an exceptionally nice pair with clean and symetrical lines, glass is still brilliant and reflective. Some old discoloration ... moreis seen on the fill lines. Very typical, and invisible when filled with colored liquors. Although stoppers are original, base of one stopper is broken off in interior, this is also invisible in use and can be ground and rounded again by a glass expert if desired. This pair does not have any documented provenance. Offering pair of antique 3 ring neck decanters ruby steined glass with hand cut to clear grape& leaves decoration. Additional decoration by the grape fruit and leaves is acid etched. The decoration is on the front and back side.Very nice paneled with daisy flower on top stoppers. No seams on the body. Paneled neck. Flat top collar. No any damage on glass. Antique 19th Century 3 Ring Decanter Pressed Mushroom Stopper Cut Crystal Glass
This lovely Three Ring Decanter measures about 12" tall with the stopper in. The woman whom I received this decanter told me that it was her great great grandfathers and dated back to the late 1800s. I don't know anything about old glass so I will leave that up to you. The decanter has a cut cross hatch pineapple pattern(which looks like a pineapple) on opposite sides of the decanter. It also has cut and etched flowers on opposing sides. The neck has 3 ring grips and the lowest of the 3 is faceted. I am not sure if the mushroom stopper was original to the piece as there is a very small amount of"wiggle" when placed in the decanter. And the cut design on the stopper has more lines than the bottom of the decanter. The stopper does form a tight enough seal to prevent leaking so perhaps they are original to each other.but I ... morecannot be sure. Either way they go together quite well. The decanter is in great overall condition considering its age. But there are some imperfections. There is a very small chip on the inside edge of the lip of the decanter that is slightly more than 1/16" across. There are also some fleabites to the bottom of the stopper. It is in excellent condition with no chips, or cracks, only some small flakes within the cutting, nothing major. The stopper is slightly a different tint, but fits like a glove. Money Back. Please scroll down the page to see additional photographs of this item. c1790s PAIR of ANGLO-IRISH 3 RING CUT GLASS DECANTERS/ CUT CRYSTAL DECANTERS Presented is a very fine quality pair of antique English or Irish cut crystal or cut glass decanters. These pieces were made the last quarter of the 1700s or in the early 1800s. They are a traditional three ring style decanter and they are very well-made. The three rings have all been polished into circular bands instead of cut. And they did a great job. The spaces between the rings and just under the bottom ring is panel cut. The bottom edge has nice groove cuts. The underside have polished pontils. The stoppers have star cut mushroom cap tops and fit well enough, although not perfectly in the decanters. The condition is excellent. There is a lot of wear to the bottom of the decanters. Just ... morethe kind you'd like to see in an old pair like this. One stopper has had a chip to the underside, which has been smoothed out, and the stopper still works. There are no breaks, no cracks, no splits, no dents, no other chips and no repairs. This NO RESERVE auction is for a Rare Set of 4 Matching early 1800's. Georgian Period Cut Glass Decanter Bottles. This is the only set of 4 Georgian Period Decanters I have had the pleasure to sell and I am sure they are a very rare find indeed. The Bottles feature great Georgian Period 3 Ring Neck form with excellent Period designs throughout including Diamond Points which make the Decanters very easy to hold and serve with. The Decanters are overall in excellent condition with no large chips and no cracks or repairs of any kind, with the exception of the Stoppers, which have some chipping as seen in the photos. The Decanters are all Hand Blown and Hand Cut so there is some slight variance in size of the Bottles and Stoppers, but they each measure approx 8" tall by 3-3/4" wide or 7" tall not counting the Stoppers. RARE DECANTER-MALLARD DUCK ART-3 RING BOTTLE NECK & GLASS STOPPER -GREAT SHAPE
We Purchased this Decanter at an estate sale this summer. After doing over an hour of research online we had no success in finding another one like it. We found some that look very similar in design; with the 3 ring neck bottle and the cut glass stopper appearance. But none of them had the Decorative Art or Mallard Duck scene like this one has. The images appear to be pained on but we are not 100% sure of that; maybe some real fine decal work was done. Like mentioned above there are 2 really small chips in the glass and very hard to see without the aid of a magnifying glass(see Condition description above) The Decanter Measures Approx. 9-1/2 inches high with glass stopper installed. 8-1/8 high without. Approx. 4 inches wide at its widest part just below the neck rings and weighs 2.2 lbs. and has a capacity of 24 ounces. Would make a great ... moreaddition to any bottle or decanter collection. Antique Old Flint Glass 3-Ring Neck Crystal Decanter - Cut Panels and Verticals
Featuring an old antique flint glass decanter with triple ring neck. Measures about 9 3/4" high from table to top of stopper. Unsigned. Cut panels on the shoulder with smaller vertical cuts along the lower body. Smooth pontil. Possibly American but I'm not sure- could be Georgian. Overall condition is excellent with no significant damage. Shows some exterior surface wear from use. The stopper has a couple of minor flakes on top and where it fits(see pics) The body has some slight cloudiness from age and use with normal wear to the base. Late 18th or early 19th century hand blown clear glass liquor decanter of Anglo-Irish origin. Nice polished three ring applied decoration on the neck. Nice fluted bottom. Sharp pontil mark. Appears to be the original stopper. No damage. No cracks, no chips, excellent condition. It is almost 11" tall with the stopper and 5" wide at its widest point. 19th C Blown 3 Ring Decanter Panel And Diamond Cut With Mushroom Stopper
You are bidding on a nice 19th c blown decanter. The decanter is panel cut around the base. Diamond cutting with circles around the middle than panel cut. It has 3 applied neck rings and a mushroom stopper. It has a polished pontil. The decanter has a few minor nicks on the cutting and the stopper has a few minor nicks, see photo's. No other chips or cracks. Plenty of wear to the base. The decanter stands about 8 7/8" tall with the stopper and about 7 1/2" tall without. The base is about 3" across.
