Depression etched & cut 12" decanter; band & flower etched; cut base, neck & top
This is a lovely Depression era decanter. The sides are ribbed inside and have an acid etched pattern featuring a top band and flowers. The neck is heavily cut with many small triangular indentations. The base is cut on the bottom. The stopple is cut to match the patterning on the neck. The bottom of the stopple has a bubble inside the glass. I wish I could attribute it to a specific manufacturer but I didn't find one like it in my limited searching. The bottom of the inside is very cloudy. My water is very hard and some of the cloudiness may wash out but I suspect some is"sick" glass and is forever. I try to ship within 1 day of clearing of payment or the weekend. I do combine shipping based on size and weight of the package. Early 19th C. Blown& Cut Glass Decanter With 4 Double Ring Neck& Sunburst Top This is a nice early blown and cut glass decanter with 4 double rings on the neck. And a sunburst cut stopper. It measures 9 3/8" high, and 4" across. Bottom has polished pontil. It is in excellent condition with no chips, or cracks, just a very light residue at the very bottom, and a few tiny flea bites to the edges of the cut stopper, nothing major, just want to mention for accuracy. Triple ring neck. Very good clarity with only a small amount of residue at the very floor of the decanter. Cut flutes under the lower ring. Fan and file cutting. Fluted cuts under the file cuts. Large polished pontil. There are some very tiny nicks that you can see in the photos. Also some very tiny dings at the top of the bottom flutes. These are all extremely minor. The decoration is on the front and back side.Very nice paneled with daisy flower on top stoppers. No seams on the body. Paneled neck. Flat top collar. No any damage on glass. Some bobbles inside of the glass- manufactury imperfection and some wear on the bottom. Gorgeous set. No maker mark. Possibly Bohemian. Size: 10" tall- measures with stopper. YOU ARE BUYING HERE 11970. PAIR of Cira 1830 Nelson Decanters Straight Sided Decanters free blown with three applied neck rings. Petal cut shoulders and panel cut body, ground pontil base, with star cut hollow cushion/mushroom stopper, height including stopper 23.5 cm. One stopper is missing a portion on the inside bottom, as shown) For display this can be mocked up via plaster or simply glued, as it cannot be trusted to sit in position for itself. Both items have obvious signs of distortion, bulging, slight lean, odd tool mark, etc. these are signs of being free blown, They have some very minor scratches here and there but are for the age nothing. Both decanters are in excellent clear condition, and free from cracks and chips, besides the small scratches mentioned. The clarity of the glass can be seen in some photos.some are not what I hoped ... morefor but again others show what I wanted as for the clarity( they are not fogged) The bottom underside bases have a significant amount of surface wear as would and should be expected from a truly old piece of used glassware. This is the only set of 4 Georgian Period Decanters I have had the pleasure to sell and I am sure they are a very rare find indeed. The Bottles feature great Georgian Period 3 Ring Neck form with excellent Period designs throughout including Diamond Points which make the Decanters very easy to hold and serve with. The Decanters are overall in excellent condition with no large chips and no cracks or repairs of any kind, with the exception of the Stoppers, which have some chipping as seen in the photos. The Decanters are all Hand Blown and Hand Cut so there is some slight variance in size of the Bottles and Stoppers, but they each measure approx 8" tall by 3-3/4" wide or 7" tall not counting the Stoppers. Antique Old Flint Glass 3-Ring Neck Crystal Decanter - Cut Panels and Verticals
Featuring an old antique flint glass decanter with triple ring neck. Measures about 9 3/4" high from table to top of stopper. Unsigned. Cut panels on the shoulder with smaller vertical cuts along the lower body. Smooth pontil. Possibly American but I'm not sure- could be Georgian. Overall condition is excellent with no significant damage. Shows some exterior surface wear from use. The stopper has a couple of minor flakes on top and where it fits(see pics) The body has some slight cloudiness from age and use with normal wear to the base. Some discoloration is present where the stopper fits into the neck- may be treatable. A great addition to your antique cut glass or EAPG collection. PA buyers please provide resale number if needed.
