This exceptional antique Victorian sterling silver and cut glass claret/lemonade jug has a tapering cylindrical form to a tapering square shaped base. The cylindrical neck is fitted with a fine sterling silver. Hallmarked mount with the original hallmarked hinged cover incorporating a plain plateaued thumbpiece. The neck of this antique claret jug is embellished with ribbed glass ornamentation. The body of the jug retains the original broad hallmarked mounts fitted with an elongated C shaped sterling silver handle. These mounts each feature a hinge to the opposing surface to the handle; these decorative hinges were originally used in the crafting process. The glass body of the jug is embellished with exceptional subdivided panels of hobnail style cut glass ornamentation accented with geometric motifs to the incurves. The body of this exceptional claret jug is further ornamented with a faceted star motif to the underside. This exceptional claret/lemonade jug was crafted by John Thomas Heath& John Hartshorne Middleton of Hukin& Heath(subsequently Hukin& Heath Ltd) Condition This antique claret jug is an exceptional gauge of silver. 13 pc vintage white marble decanter sake cordial liquor glasses tray I purchased this beautiful vintage handcrafted white marble 13 piece sake/cordial/liquor set while I was stationed in Vietnam during the Vietnam War. It was handcrafted in Taiwan by“HL” see label on serving tray) It consists of 1 decanter(8” tall without stopper and 10 ¼” tall with stopper. Base is 2 5/8” in diameter) 1 stopper(2 ¾“ long) 1 Tray( 9 ¼“ diameter) 10 stemmed goblets( 6 are 2 ¾“ H and their base is 2 5/8” in diameter- 4 are 3.0“ H and the base is also 2 5/8” in diameter) One of the smaller goblets has a very slight chip on the rim(see photo) The decanter holds 11 oz. of liquid with the stopper in it. Vintage 13” Bohemian Czech Green Emerald Cut To Clear Glass Decanter 12.5” tall 3.5” wide Excellent condition. No chips, cracks, or damage. Decanter is unsold stock from a fine gift store that closed in the early 1960s and has been in storage ever since. This information allows me to confidently date the decanter from the 1950s at the latest. Possibly earlier, however the graphic simplicity of the pattern suggests to me that it’s mid to late 50s. To be clear. I do not know if this is actually Bohemian Czech glass as I am not knowledgable in this area. However it closely resembles some of the examples of that style I’ve seen online. This is a beautiful Circa 1860 Bakewell. Pears& Co. Pittsburgh, PA) Blown& Pressed Flint Glass decanter in the Honeycomb pattern. It stands approximately 13" high to the top of the matching Honeycomb stopper and is in beautiful estate condition. It shows beautiful clarity with only very minor traces of mold line roughness on the interior portion of the stopper and one very tiny. Subtle flake on the decanter lip side edge, as shown in the photo. Both the matching stopper and decanter show the appropriate production polished pontil mark. Here we have a large& beautiful Millefiori decanter. Aprox 13 inches tall to top of stopper.No chips or cracks. Lite abrasions to base& on frosted lip wear stopper fits in. Almost 2 pounds 10 ounces.
