This Tumble-Up was blown from cobalt blue and is cut to clear. Probably circa 1890-1910 but I don't know where it was made. Both pieces have the same decoration cut into the glass and have polished pontil areas. Tumbler measures about 2 1/2 inches across the opening and 3 5/8 inches high; the carafe is approximately 4 3/8 inches at the widest and 6 5/8 inches high. This 19 th Century Carafe or Decanter has engraved grapevines and leaves design and is from a NEWPORT. RHODE ISLAND estate. This decanter is either Georgian English or American and dates from the 1800's. It measures approximately 7 ½ inches high. The base measures 4 3/4 inches in diameter. It has the initials"P.C. engraved on it which stands for Peleg Clarke. A descendant of Jeremiah Clarke, was one the the eight founders of Newport. Rhode Island in 1639 and owned large tracts of land in Newport, Rhode Island. He was the President of the Colony of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations. A beautiful wine decanter or carafe from the Perfection Bottle Company. Wilkes-Barre, that is over 110 years old! The neck and silver ring unscrews to get to the round base(a great way to clean a bottle! The glass neck base reads. PAT MARCH 30, 97" The bottle measures 9 1/2" tall and holds 1 1/2 quarts(6 cups) of liquid. The bottle is in overall very good condition with no breaks or cracks. just a few light scratches. The neck is secured by the screw down silver ring and it can not fall off but time has made it loose. You can add a rubber ring around it if you would like.

Most of us don't cater or have servants when we entertain, so this takes a little pressure off the host/hostess so you can fully enjoy dining with your guests, too. This carafe is thick glass, looks black but it is actually a deep amber or champagne color if you hold it to the light. Yes, brown glass but there's no way we could get that to show for you. Hold it to the sun and you'll see medium brown to amber-coloration, though. But what is really totally engaging on this one is the gorgeous hand painted thick enamel grape leaves, vine and fruits. All about the bulbous base, so pretty. Makes me think of Legras, but I don't think this is Legras, which enamel work is usually even thicker and not quite as beautifully done in my opinion. We can't therefore identify the maker for you, but as you can see in that final image, alongside beautiful hand painted china plates on your table, it definitely rises to fine art. Antique water carafe/ pitcher. Made of thick. Very heavy, glass that has raised ribbed sides and tiny diamond cut glass all the way around. The metal(silverplate? neck is banded in a flower and scroll motif. Would make for a lovely bud vase! Please take note of condition(below) Size: 5-3/4" tall x 2-1/2" diameter base x 3-1/2" spout to handle. Condition: No chips or scratches to glass. There is mineral residue at bottom of inside of glass. One internal crack within the glass(as seen in photo) near very top. Appears to still be quite sturdy(I kept liquid soap in it for a short time and it never leaked/never tried water however) The entire metal top is very well attached, though heavily tarnished. Up for bids is this fabulous two-piece bottle or carafe made by the Perfection Bottle Co. of Wilkes-Barre. PA in 1897. That information is in raised print inside the top glass section. The glass IS crystal clear although it doesn't look it in the photos due to reflections. Lighting or whatever. Sorry about that. It's 9 1/2 inches tall and the base is 6 1/2 inches in diameter. The glass is perfect. The seal is dry but original, the metal joiner was originally silver plated but is no longer. I'm not sure of the reason for the two pieces. Maybe ice was put in the bottom section. I can't think of any other reason. Would make a lovely display piece or could be used if the seal was replaced. Lovely antique water or wine carafe with beautiful cut detail. It is a recent estate sale find and came with the small cup which also has cut detail around the rim. I do not believe they are an exact match but pair up pretty well. The carafe measures 6 1/2" tall with a 4 1/4" diameter base. The cup is 2 1/2" tall with a 2 1/4" base. Here is a nice antique cut glass carafe or maybe even a vase that has a flat diamond English Hobnial type pattern in a 1 1/4" wide band around the bulbous area of the carafe. The neck has cut panels. It stands about 8 1/2" tall and around 5 1/4" at it's widest point. It looks to be signed something that looks like an SS or Sg near the bottom. Excellent vintage condition with some haze/staining and minor wear to the gold gilt& painted designs but certainly NO major defects whatsoever. ABSOLUTELY NO chips. Cracks, fractures, breaks or repairs. Hand/Free-Blown with pontil scar at base and a ruffled, triple flared out lip. Neck is depressed into the top of body, creating a nice strong shoulder. Heavy, 2.34lb. decanter measures 8” tall and ca. 6” at the widest. It has etched Fleur de Lis design and a band of intertwined circles on the body. The top part is cut and the bottom has a cut, star burst pattern. There is some small, rust spots inside, with some water marks. Please see close ups.
