Not sure if it was intentionally made ... morethat way or if this is from age and use. Either way. It's stated and photographed for your consideration. That being said there are a few measurements to consider. At the shortest diameter distance the bowl measures 10 1/4" in diameter. At the longest diameter distance the bowl measures 11" in diameter. Again. This is from being slightly out of round. The bowl has some heavy scratching from use. Mostly located at the center interior. You can see this in the photos. I know that some people like to sand these out and return them to their original smooth surface. That's being left up to the winning bidder to determine and address. Some rough edges around the diameter of the lip. The bottom and exterior is very clean with almost no scratching. Please note that the bowl has a silky feel to it from being seasoned and treated with food grade oil. The spoon or paddle measures 9 1/4" in length X 5" wide at the widest point. It too has wear and scratching from use with some minor surface splitting near the end. Nothing that goes through though. Overall a great candidate for restoration or to leave it as is to add to your primitive home decor. Should you have any questions or concerns. The smaller bowl is a Munising. It is about 6 3/4" by 7 3/4" outside top. The larger 3 footed bowl has some paint chipped on the inside and some varnish worn off. It measures approx 10 7/8" x 10 1/4" and stands approx 2 1/2" tall. The painted motif of fruit and leaves is well worn and in some areas the paint has worn off completely. I feel no wax on the bowl. This wooden bowl came from an auction in Vermont. I believe it to be Munising but it is not signed Munising on the back. So I am not positive. This one is signed on the back with by ralphine? see the last picture. T he bowl is not perfectly round. It measures 9 1/4" across in one direction and 8 3/4" across in another. There is some light fuzz on the bowl. Possible from someone wiping it with a cloth before the varnish was completely dry. It has wear/use marks, please see all picture. It weighs 15 ounces.

This is a wonderful antique primitive Munising wooden dough/ salad/ fruit bowl. It was hand turned on a lathe and crafted from birds eye burled maple wood. It is slightly out of round measuring about 10" x 9 1/4" x on one side 1 7/8" high and on the other going up to 2 1/4" high. It is in very good vintage condition with a nice patina. On the bottom there three black scorch marks where it looks like someone might have set it down on a hot burner. It is not deep and the signed name on the bottom- Munising- is still clearly visible. It is a really nice decorative bowl what would go well with any collection. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Munising bowls hail from their namesake town. Nestled on the South Bay of Michigan's Upper Peninsula. Vintage Munising maple wood wooden bowl footed dough bowl fruit bowl 11" marked
Vintage Munising maple wooden 3 footed dough bowl or fruit bowl. Made in Munising. Michigan in the late 1930's or early 1940's. Due to the manner in which wood ages, the bowl is oval in shape. It measures approximately 11 3/8 inches long and 10 3/4 inches wide and 3 1/4 inches high. The three round feet are a darker color than the bowl. It is marked"Munising" on the bottom. Shiny varnished finish over all. Very nice gently used vintage condition, it does not appear to be have been used much at all. There are a five spots of white paint on the exterior, a few light surface scratches on the interior and a 1/8 by 1/16 inch chip on the outside edge of the rim. Charming farmhouse-style wooden Munising bowl with handle. Leather strap, three stubby legs, and plum design. This is the only one I’ve seen with a plum, and I’ve searched and searched, so this design could be“rare. It’s definitely hard to find! The bowl is almost round. Measuring approximately 8.5” wide by 8.125” wide by about 1-3/4” deep. The handle is 6” long. I found this in a thrift store. So I don’t know what has been in it, if anything. It seems as if it was used for display purposes if at all. Munising Woodenware was in business from 1911 to 1955. So this bowl is at LEAST 57 years old. Antique Vintage Signed Marked Munising Wood Wooden Dough Bowl with Spoon Paddle
This listing is for an antique or vintage Munising wood bowl with paddle/spoon. This bowl is slightly out of round. Not sure if it was intentionally made that way or if this is from age and use. Either way. It's stated and photographed for your consideration. That being said there are a few measurements to consider. At the shortest diameter distance the bowl measures 10 1/4" in diameter. At the longest diameter distance the bowl measures 11" in diameter. Again. This is from being slightly out of round. The bowl has some heavy scratching from use. Mostly located at the center interior. You can see this in the photos. I know that some people like to sand these out and return them to their original smooth surface. That's being left up to the winning bidder to determine and address. Some rough edges around the diameter of the ... morelip. The bottom and exterior is very clean with almost no scratching. Please note that the bowl has a silky feel to it from being seasoned and treated with food grade oil. The spoon or paddle measures 9 1/4" in length X 5" wide at the widest point. It too has wear and scratching from use with some minor surface splitting near the end. Nothing that goes through though. Antique Munising Wood Wooden Large 13"+ Pedestal Bowl, Orig Oiled, Out of Round
Antique Munising Wood Wooden Pedestal Bowl. Orig Oiled, Out of Round Large 13-1/8" x 13-7/8" MADE IN USA This is a beautiful example of a quality Munising turned bowl. Not as common is the attached turned pedestal. The factory operated in Munising. Michigan from 1911 to 1955. Large. Measures 13-1/8" x 13-7/8" x little over 4-3/4" high. No cracks or gouges. Outer surface has scuffs and some roughness where the oiled finish has been scuffed off. I have not attempted any cleaning or re-oiling of this bowl. Inside of bowl shows very little sign of usage- no stains. Light marring. Needs some oil and some love. Pedestal measures 6-1/2" diameter. Lot of 2 Vintage Wooden Bowls 9" Woman Ducks Farmhouse Painted Munising Wood
These two wooden bowls came from an auction in Vermont. They measure 9" and 9 1/4" in diameter. One is signed and initialed Munising on the back. It has a painted design of a woman with her hands on her hips with a bird in the foreground. On the back of the bowl are flowers and a duck. The bowl has some wear and use marks. I have not polished it. The other bowl is signed. But I can not make out the name. On the front is a woman with flowers on the inside edge and on the back of the bowl. This bowl has scratches on the back and wear/use marks. It appear that someone dried them with a cloth while the varnish was still damp as there are some fuzz marks.

You are bidding on a primitive vintage Munising wooden bowl. It is marked with maker on bottom. Hardwood. Probably maple. Out of round, which indicates its age. Bowls were produced through 1955. Wood contrasts differently based on grain of the wood. Measures roughly 11" across and 3" deep. An awesome bowl to be used for serving, cooking or to sit as a centerpiece.

For sale is this classic Munising wooden dough bowl. Measures 11 1/2 inches long by 10 1/2 inches wide by 3 inches deep. I'm not sure what wood this is but I've seen a lot of similar bowls as this one listed as maple? That is a guess. I am not an expert. This is a hand turned bowl and is not perfect in it's shape which is what makes this bowl so interesting. There are scratches and marks from use. Munising is burnt(I believe) into the bottom in a nice slant cursive. See pictures as they are part of the description.
