Vintage Wooden Wishing Well Nut Bowl & Screw Nut Cracker - Nut Basket
This is a vintage 1970s nut cracker modeled to look like a miniature wishing well. The large metal screw on the top is actually for cracking the nuts. While the others are stored inside of the"well" basket. If you don't want to use this nutcracker for it's original purpose, it makes a lovely container for fruit or decorative items and fits in with a shabby-chic rustic country-style home. It has been in our family for over 40 years, but is in excellent vintage condition. There are only a few small nicks in the wood that are at the very bottom and a scratch on the underside of the basket that is only in view when turned over. This piece measures 10" tall and is 7.5" in diameter. Sturdy and well-made from a rich medium-dark textured grain wood and hammered brass nail heads. Here we have a vintage hand painted wooden nut bowl with a nut cracker and 6 picks. The painting is of 2 oak leaves in green. Red and yellow and three acorns. It measures about 9" in diameter and stands about 2.5" tall. The bottom has 3 round feet. This is from the 1940s or 50s and appears to have never been used. HP Wood Nut Bowl This darling bowl has no makers mark. But it's darn cute. It has Hand Painted Red Apple design in the bowl. It sets on three wooden Ball feet. It looks like Maple Wood to me and it has a clear glaze. It has a metal nutcracker that fits in the center and has holes for picks. The picks come in the original box, but previous owner has covered the box in wallpaper. It is in very good condition, with no missing paint and bowl is shiny and clean. It has a little wear on the holes where the Nutcracker goes. It is 9" by 8" and stands 3" tall. Very Cute Mid-Century Piece. I am happy to combine shipping so have a look at my other auctions too. The somewhat primitive brass nut cracker mounted in the center is designed to crack larger nut shells(walnuts or Almonds) without damage to the contents. No spring load tech here. There are no makers marks to offer a clue to the actual age of this piece. That weighs just shy of 2 lbs. I was told it is very old, but this is where ones expertise is needed. The bowl appears to be in very good vintage condition. There are some minor cosmetic scuffs to the exterior of the wood bowl. These are not distracting in any way. And may ... morediminish after cleaning and polishing to personal preference. I believe the bottom was once covered in green felt which is no longer present, but the color remains. I find no major signs of damage, and the wood grains of this attractive bowl are truly beautiful. Will make a wonderful addition to any home or collection. Vintage Wood Nut Bowl with Painted Design and Holes for Nut Cracker
This is a wooden round nut bowl with three round"feet" and a round stem in the middle inside of the bowl that holds a nut cracker. It has a painted leaf/nut design on the inside of the bowl. This was a bowl owned by my parents. So I have no idea of its age, although I can assure it's vintage, if not antique. The finish is all original and it's in good condition considering its age. There is one portion on the inside of the bowl where the finish/painting has been worn off a bit. The bowl is 9-1/16" in diameter and stands 2-5/8" high. This is a vintage real wood nut bowl. Comes with nut cracker and 4 picks. It is 6 1/4" wide by 2 1/2" tall. The nut cracker and picks in the 1st pictures are for display, but I'm including a 2006 unopened pack from TableCraft that states it is commercial quality. The nut bowl has some bark off of it as shown in the second picture. Not sure if it was made this way or happened later. The inside bottom has a little wear also. Very nice piece for your collection. Vintage 1950's? Tree trunk Nut Bowl, nut cracker and (5) pucks.
This is a great piece. The bowl is a little over 10" around and 3" tall and has the nut cracker in the middle along with(5) picks. The design on the two of the picks match the cracker and the other three match themselves. Very nice old set as you can see by the pictures. It has the normal wear and tear you might expect I would say in very nice condition.

Up for auction is an early 20th C nut bowl with built in nut cracker recently found at auction in the suburban Philadelphia PA area. It is quite Art Deco looking in line and design. Quite functional with the cracker being built into the bowl The bowl measures 8" across and the whole piece is approx 6" tall. Very nicely made. Shows signs of use with losses to patina and some surface scratches. Some rust around the handle and cracker area would need some attention prior to use.
