This is a set of 2 vintage or antique wood bowls made by Minising. Recently purchased at an estate sale. I am unsure of their age. Hand made and primitive in appearance, they are slightly oblong and measure about 6 1/4" in diameter and 1 1/2" tall. Nicely sized, they will make a charming addition to any room. 2-Wooden Bowls Vintage but Painted Watermelon in 1994 1-Munising 1-3 Footed Wood
The smaller bowl is a Munising. It is about 6 3/4" by 7 3/4" outside top. The larger 3 footed bowl has some paint chipped on the inside and some varnish worn off. It measures about 9 1/4" by 9 3/4" outside top. It is 2 3/4" high. That one is unmarked. They were both painted in 1994. I will answer any questions the best I can. Thankyou:

2 Vintage Munising Hard Maple Rolling Pins Jadite Green Handles
This lot consists of 2 vintage Munising Wood Products hardwood maple rolling pins with jadite green painted handles. They exhibit the two types of turned handles known to have been made by the company which was situated in Munising. Michigan. Both measure 17 1/2 inches long, and the pin with a slightly smaller diameter has the"ribbed" turned handles. Both have strong"Munising" stampings and are in overall good, carefully used condition. The green paint is a little"chippy" on the larger rolling pin and nicely warn 14.95y hand on the smaller. They have survived at least 70 years of use, and I wish I had a bite of each of the pie crusts that were rolled by these pins.

Set 4 Vintage Painted Munising Wood Products 6 1/2" Salad Bowls
This nice set of 4 vintage Munising salad bowls are painted in the prettiest colors! In dark blue. Soft green, gold and soft tan they'll make a lovely stack in your kitchenware collection. As with other bowls from the Munising Wood Products Company, they were turned in the 1950s and remain in excellent condition with no damage. There are no chips, cracks or other unsightly blemishes on these 6" X 6 1/2" lathe-turned beauties. The finish is very nice, and the interiors are food safe.

These are 2 very old wood Munising bowls from a Wisconsin estate auction The large one is 13 5/8 x 12 5/8.4" tall. It has a crack inside that does not do all the way through, and one on an outside edge that does and is 2" long. The smaller one is 8 3/4 x 8 1/4" 2" tall, is in very good condition. They weigh 3 1/2 Lbs.

2 Vintage Wood Wooden Bowls 1 3 Footed Signed Munising 1 Unknown Maker
Collectibles-BLU I'll start this by saying I'm not a collector of this type of item. I will do my best to describe these bowls. But please feel free to ask questions should I overlook mentioning something that is important to you. This auction includes both wooden bowls pictured. The larger size wooden bowl is signed Munising on its backside. It measures approx 13 3/4" x 13 1/8" and stands approx 4 1/8" tall. This is a 3 footed bowl. When you look to the left side edge of the bowl in my picture you can see an area approx 1/2" x 1/4" in size that wood has chipped off this rim area. This are some tiny white specks in the interior- possibly old paint. I was able to remove a couple with my fingernail. I will leave the rest of the clean up to the new owner of this bowl. The second bowl(right side of picture) measures ... moreapprox 11 1/4" x 10 1/4" and stands approx 3" in height. This bowl is not signed by the maker. The wood of the 2 bowls look to me to be the same type of wood. I wonder if it's a Munising bowl. Just unsigned. Being I can not definitely identify the maker of this second bowl, I thought I would just sell the 2 bowls together since the woods do match. Vintage / Near Antique LOT 2 Wood Munising Bowls Mixing Chopping w/ NICE Chopper
Great vintage/ near antique lot consisting of TWO oval signed Munising Woodenware Co. bowls and one really sturdy antique chopper. The larger of the two bowls measures 11-1/4 x 10-1/2 and stands 3-1/8" high. This bowl is marked with the newer 1940's cursive lettering. The smaller bowl is also oval or"out of round" measuring 9" x 8-1/4" and standing 1-1/2" high. This smaller bowl is marked in the all block. Same size lettering indicative of the 1920's and has an outward extended rim around the exterior. You can see the turnings inside both bowls but they are more evident on the upper portions of the larger bowl. Both bowls have been well used and have great patina. Bowls nest together well. The chopper has a nice solid wood handle(4-1/4" long and 1" in diameter) With brass shaft marked at bottom ... morenear pins going through blade"A. FREEMAN, CAST STEEL" The 6" long steel blade is curved slightly for great chopping. I am unsure of the age of the chopper but I would expect c. 1900-1920s. Notice the great scribe marks down the handle to line up the shaft, the cracks in the top of the handle, the non circular shaft and washer showing on the top of handle AND the great patina. Note that the cracks in the top of the handle are not deep and do not pose any impediment to use(not sharp or splintery) This chopper feels great in the hand and the blade is still sharp. Bowl measures 10 3/8- 10 5/8" out of round diameter and is 3 1/2" deep. The wood is 1/2" thick- very sturdy. The bowl is painted red on the outside and at one time had three feet. The feet are missing. Otherwise. The bow is in good condition, has a nice patina. There is one very fine crack in the rim. One nests in the other nicely as it is a bit smaller. apprx measurements are. 10 7/8 x 10 3/8 x 2 1/2 11 1/4" x 10 1/2" x 2 3/4" No chips or cracks to the wood just some normal scratches from use. Vintage MUNISING Lot of 2 Small Primitive Wood OVAL Salad or Fruit Bowls
What a fabulous find! These are two small. Fabulous slightly oval shapedm thick wooden salad or fruit bowls turned from a solid piece of wood with rounded edges from Munising, Michigan. I haven't found anything like them(oval, small, rounded edges) on Ebay or elsewhere! My mother bought these many years ago with the intent to paint them, but never did. She was an amazing tole painter) They are in superb condition except for stains that would come from normal usage. See photos for details. The factory sadly burned in 1955, so these are older than that. Size is 6.5 inches at its widest diameter. Height about 1.5 inches- thickness about 3/8 inch. Wow. This lot of TWO bowls is in very good shape! The smaller bowl is 8.5" not round. More of an oval shape) It has blues, reds and greens, and a pair of really cute birds sitting on branches facing each other. Bowl is in fantastic shape! The larger bowl is 11" round. With a squiggly red design along its edge. Painted inside are beautiful flowers, all red, with a large two-toned heart near the middle of the bowl. This bowl looks like it was used more, but the paint and finish are still in really great shape. Vintage Munising Bowl Handhewn Trencher 17" long 9 1/4" wide 3 1/2" tall
This bowl has been in my family for many years and is used as a fresh fruit bowl. My mother used it as a bowl for proofing yeast bread. Very functional size as well as attractive for salad or fruit. There is some staining in the bottom of the bowl. But it is in good condition with out any crack or other damage. The bowl looks better than the photos as the stain is not a distraction.

In& Dated Antiques For your consideration is this lot of two antique Munising bowls. These bowls are both in very good condition. With only some minor signs of use, including some cut marks on the footed bowl and some dings on the bottom of the larger salad bowl. These are both clearly marked Munising by a burned in mark on the bottom of each piece. The larger bowl is an 11" oblong salad bowl. The smaller of the two, is a 9" footed oblong bowl with handle. The handle still retains it's leather loop for hanging. The larger bowl is 2 3/4" deep(table to rim) and the smaller measures 2 1/2" from table to rim. Munising Lg. Maple Wood Dough Bowl 13 1/2" W 12 7/8" D Stunning Warm Color VGC
For your consideration is a gorgeous large dough bowl or chop bowl by the Munising Company. The bottom has the black incised script Munising name. Just in time to display and use this fall and your holiday season! The bowl is approximately 13 1/2 on the longer out of round side and about 12 7/8 inches on the shorted side. It stands approximately 4 inches tall. It look like it is a maple wood but it not marked although based on research. Most the the Munising bowls and goods were derived from maple which was in abundance in the UP of Michigan where the company made these items. The condition is near excellent with no major damage or staining. The are some small scratches which makes me think that it may have been used only a few times.There are no areas of major annoyances. There are no large chips or and cracks or major imperfections in the ... morewood. There is alot of graining and I bet if you put some mineral oil on it the bowl will look even more beautiful. This is not to say that it looks dry and does not appear to have suffered from any major washings. It weighs in at nearly 2 1/2 lbs. Shipped with lots of care and bubble wrap for a safe journey. This auction is for two different primitive wooden bowls marked. Munising 2nd" on the bottoms. Both show years of use and the trencher has a burn by the edge and a crack in the bottom. They are both still solid and strong and in original condition. The tiers measure 7” and 8 ¾” along the long side and is 9” high. There are no chips or cracks and the piece has general wear for its age. The Munising is burned into the bottom of the bottom bowl. Vintage Large Munising 2nd Wooden Bread Dough And Chopping Bowl 15 1/2"
Vintage Munising 2nd Wooden Bread Dough And Chopping Bowl Munising Woodware Company was productive from 1911 until 1955. It was located in Michigan's Upper Peninsula in the town of Munising. Local maple trees were typically used and the bowls were often sold in department stores. This bowl is 5 inches tall. With a 15 1/2 inch x 14 1/2" outside diameters and a thickness of 1/2 inch at the top rim. There looks to be a modification to the bowl which looks to be a handhold for chopping(guessing) that measures approx. 6" x 4" This modification gives the bowl a lot of character in my opinion. There are no cracks in wood. Chopping marks and scuffing are visible from years of use(See photos for condition) Good Luck and Thank You for Viewing!

Lot of 2 Vintage Wooden Bowls 9" Woman Ducks Farmhouse Painted Munising Wood
These two wooden bowls came from an auction in Vermont. They measure 9" and 9 1/4" in diameter. One is signed and initialed Munising on the back. It has a painted design of a woman with her hands on her hips with a bird in the foreground. On the back of the bowl are flowers and a duck. The bowl has some wear and use marks. I have not polished it. The other bowl is signed. But I can not make out the name. On the front is a woman with flowers on the inside edge and on the back of the bowl. This bowl has scratches on the back and wear/use marks. It appear that someone dried them with a cloth while the varnish was still damp as there are some fuzz marks.

Antique Primitive Munising 13 1/2" Wood Dough Bowl Tiny Exterior Crack
Lovely early primitive hand made Munising wood dough bowl. Out of round. Which was the traditional way they were made. Measurements: 13 1/2" x 12 3/4" x 4" deep. There's a very small crack on the exterior at the top(see pic) appx. 1" long& a tiny chip on the top rim. It sits flat, no tipping. I believe this is maple, the grain is beautiful! The finish is natural, I just rubbed on a small amount of food grade mineral oil after it was washed. It could probably use another application of mineral oil if you were going to use it for mixing. I've had it for years, displayed& used as a fruit bowl.

Pair (2) Munising German Wood Handled Serving Bowls - Footed
This is a very nice pair of footed and handled wooden bowls made by Munising. Michigan. The round bowls sit on three feet and measure 2 1/2" and 2 3/4" high, and 8 1/2" and 8 3/4" in diameter. They are marked on the bases as photographed. There is some loss of the finish and surface scuffing and light scratching but no digs or gouges or splits.
