Not sure if it was intentionally made ... morethat way or if this is from age and use. Either way. It's stated and photographed for your consideration. That being said there are a few measurements to consider. At the shortest diameter distance the bowl measures 10 1/4" in diameter. At the longest diameter distance the bowl measures 11" in diameter. Again. This is from being slightly out of round. The bowl has some heavy scratching from use. Mostly located at the center interior. You can see this in the photos. I know that some people like to sand these out and return them to their original smooth surface. That's being left up to the winning bidder to determine and address. Some rough edges around the diameter of the lip. The bottom and exterior is very clean with almost no scratching. Please note that the bowl has a silky feel to it from being seasoned and treated with food grade oil. The spoon or paddle measures 9 1/4" in length X 5" wide at the widest point. It too has wear and scratching from use with some minor surface splitting near the end. Nothing that goes through though. Overall a great candidate for restoration or to leave it as is to add to your primitive home decor. Should you have any questions or concerns. Antique 15.5 inch Turned-Wood Dough Bowl
Antique 15.5 inch Turned-Wood Dough Bowl The bowl is a 15 ½” by 14 ½” oval. It is 4 ¾” deep. I believe the wood is maple. It is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. There is a line in the wood which could give the appearance of a crack. See close up. It is a dark line in the grain which is not open- even under magnification. There are some chopping marks inside but they are relatively few and light. I don’t know how old it is but the oval shape would indicate some age. It is not signed or marked.

Selling is huge antique wooden dough bowl in very good condition. It has no cracks or chips on the bowl. I do not know what type of wood it is made out of. It measures 15 1/3 x 14" round x 5" deep. I purchased it at an antique store in Winter Haven Florida several years ago. I was told that it dated back to the late 1800.S to early 1900,s. Nice wooden bowl. It is slightly darker in person than pictures show I think. It is marked Munising on the bottom. Appears to be slightly oval in shape instead of round. I dont know much about this type of collectible so I took several pictures, please look them over. Stands just over 5" tall and its about 15" by 15 3/4" It has no cracks, no breaks, no repairs. It does have wear consistent with age and use. I dont see anything major or out of the norm, but like I said the pictures should speak for themselves. Vintage Large Munising 2nd Wooden Bread Dough And Chopping Bowl 15 1/2"
Vintage Munising 2nd Wooden Bread Dough And Chopping Bowl Munising Woodware Company was productive from 1911 until 1955. It was located in Michigan's Upper Peninsula in the town of Munising. Local maple trees were typically used and the bowls were often sold in department stores. This bowl is 5 inches tall. With a 15 1/2 inch x 14 1/2" outside diameters and a thickness of 1/2 inch at the top rim. There looks to be a modification to the bowl which looks to be a handhold for chopping(guessing) that measures approx. 6" x 4" This modification gives the bowl a lot of character in my opinion. Large Vintage 15" Solid Teak BARIBOCRAFT Canada Wooden Dough or Salad Bowl
On offer here is a wonderful and large wooden solid teak Baribocraft dough or salad bowl. It is a very large 15" in size(the biggest they ever made) and is slightly oval in shape. It stands 5.75" tall and is surprisingly light in weight. There is no damage but some scuff marks on the base from use. Baribocraft went out of business in the 1970's but with Mid Century Modern items in vogue. This company has become very collectible.
