$18.00 Shipping Location: Rochester, United States This listing is for an antique or vintage Munising wood bowl with paddle/spoon. This bowl is slightly out of round. Not sure if it was intentionally made ... morethat way or if this is from age and use. Either way. It's stated and photographed for your consideration. That being said there are a few measurements to consider. At the shortest diameter distance the bowl measures 10 1/4" in diameter. At the longest diameter distance the bowl measures 11" in diameter. Again. This is from being slightly out of round. The bowl has some heavy scratching from use. Mostly located at the center interior. You can see this in the photos. I know that some people like to sand these out and return them to their original smooth surface. That's being left up to the winning bidder to determine and address. Some rough edges around the diameter of the lip. The bottom and exterior is very clean with almost no scratching. Please note that the bowl has a silky feel to it from being seasoned and treated with food grade oil. The spoon or paddle measures 9 1/4" in length X 5" wide at the widest point. It too has wear and scratching from use with some minor surface splitting near the end. Nothing that goes through though. Overall a great candidate for restoration or to leave it as is to add to your primitive home decor. Should you have any questions or concerns. The Factory has been closed since 1955. This is one of the Larger bowls and is only slightly out of round. It measures approx. 11 3/16 in. x 10 5/8 in. 3 in. Four Vintage And Antique Wooden Bowls- Dough Bowl, Munising and Mort N. Marton
I purchased these bowls a while back. The lady I got them from said that they had come out of an house up north. The dough is the largest at 14.5 x 13.5. The next bowl is marked Munising and is 11x 10. The next bowl is 10x 9.25. The last one is 8.75 x 8. I do not know the exact age on these. I think that the Munising and Mort are possibly mid-century. But not sure. Please view all pics for details. The bowls are very rustic. The dough bowl has cracks and the Munising bowl has a partially drilled hole on one side-does not go all the way through. The other unmarked bowl had been broken and glued back. The Mort bowl looks like tag says it is from Canadian birch. This bowl has some finish loss inside. VTG ANTIQUE PRIMITIVE WOODEN BOWL MUNISING Dough BIRDS EYE BURLED MAPLE WOOD 10"
This is a wonderful antique primitive Munising wooden dough/ salad/ fruit bowl. It was hand turned on a lathe and crafted from birds eye burled maple wood. It is slightly out of round measuring about 10" x 9 1/4" x on one side 1 7/8" high and on the other going up to 2 1/4" high. It is in very good vintage condition with a nice patina. On the bottom there three black scorch marks where it looks like someone might have set it down on a hot burner. It is not deep and the signed name on the bottom- Munising- is still clearly visible. It is a really nice decorative bowl what would go well with any collection. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Munising bowls hail from their namesake town. Nestled on the South Bay of Michigan's Upper Peninsula. Workers at Munising Woodenware Company, in business from 1908 to ... more1955, machine-lathed each vessel out of hardwood, usually maple, from the forests nearby. The factory produced other household items, such as butter molds, spoons and breadboards. The goods were sold at department stores, where many found their way onto wedding registries. During World War II, the factory fashioned 50 million tent stakes for the Army and the Marines. Of the many items the company made, the bowls were among the few types of pieces branded with its name. According to the research on the internet the block letter brand marks are one of the earliest bowls. Probably 1920's and early 1930's. It is about 12" diameter to 12 3/4" diameter from outside edge to outside edge. It is about 3 1/2" high. It has wear. Marks, scratches, knife marks, fading, aging. Antique Vintage Signed Marked Munising Wood Wooden Dough Bowl with Spoon Paddle
This listing is for an antique or vintage Munising wood bowl with paddle/spoon. This bowl is slightly out of round. Not sure if it was intentionally made that way or if this is from age and use. Either way. It's stated and photographed for your consideration. That being said there are a few measurements to consider. At the shortest diameter distance the bowl measures 10 1/4" in diameter. At the longest diameter distance the bowl measures 11" in diameter. Again. This is from being slightly out of round. The bowl has some heavy scratching from use. Mostly located at the center interior. You can see this in the photos. I know that some people like to sand these out and return them to their original smooth surface. That's being left up to the winning bidder to determine and address. Some rough edges around the diameter of the ... morelip. The bottom and exterior is very clean with almost no scratching. Please note that the bowl has a silky feel to it from being seasoned and treated with food grade oil. The spoon or paddle measures 9 1/4" in length X 5" wide at the widest point. It too has wear and scratching from use with some minor surface splitting near the end. Nothing that goes through though. Overall a great candidate for restoration or to leave it as is to add to your primitive home decor. Should you have any questions or concerns. Antique Munising Wood Wooden Pedestal Bowl. Orig Oiled, Out of Round Large 13-1/8" x 13-7/8" MADE IN USA This is a beautiful example of a quality Munising turned bowl. Not as common is the attached turned pedestal. The factory operated in Munising. Michigan from 1911 to 1955. Large. Measures 13-1/8" x 13-7/8" x little over 4-3/4" high. No cracks or gouges. Outer surface has scuffs and some roughness where the oiled finish has been scuffed off. I have not attempted any cleaning or re-oiling of this bowl. Inside of bowl shows very little sign of usage- no stains. Light marring. Needs some oil and some love. Pedestal measures 6-1/2" diameter. For sale is this classic Munising wooden dough bowl. Measures 11 1/2 inches long by 10 1/2 inches wide by 3 inches deep. I'm not sure what wood this is but I've seen a lot of similar bowls as this one listed as maple? That is a guess. I am not an expert. This is a hand turned bowl and is not perfect in it's shape which is what makes this bowl so interesting. There are scratches and marks from use. Munising is burnt(I believe) into the bottom in a nice slant cursive. See pictures as they are part of the description. In good condition with a few cracks as pictured. The first crack on the upper side goes through so that you could see some light thru it but the crack does NOT go from side to side The other cracks are tight. Marked on bottom Munising 2nd. 15-1/2 to 14-1/2 across x 5" tall.

Antique Vintage Primitive Wooden Munising Dough Bowl Slightly Out of Round
Up for bid is a primitive Munising wooden bowl. It is slightly out of round. So it is approximately 10 1/8- 11 inches wide, and approximately 2 1/2- 2 7/8 inches tall. It has black marker near the Munising stamp(see 4th photo) There are several hairline cracks in the inside of the bowl. But they are not visible on the exterior of the bowl(see 8th photo) The Munising stamp is not deeply imprinted. But enough to see that it is truly a Munising bowl. P lease closely examine all photos. Very nice primitive Munising wooden bowl. It measures approx. 11 1/4" long. 10 1/2" wide and stands about 3 1/4" tall. The bowl is in good shape with no chips or cracks.
