Vintage Woodcroftery Double Bowl with Handle Cherry Wood Fall Christmas
This"Genuine Woodcroftery" bowl is a lovely piece. The Woodcroftery was. At one time, the largest manufacturer of wooden bowls in the U.S. It was established in Wayland, New York, in the Finger Lakes region, in 1935. This is probably cherry, which was their wood of choice, according to a couple of the articles I found on the'net. The bowls are 5 1/2 in in diameter, the handle is 3 1/2 in. high, and the whole thing is 10 in. across. The finish is quite glossy and the bowl is in beautiful vintage shape. Perfect for disply all through the year- candy hearts, wooden eggs, fruit and flowers, acorns and leaves, old mini Christmas ornaments! I do NOT accept overseas bids. Sorry! Up for auction is a vintage wooden bowl made by Woodcroftery(marked on bottom) This bowl comes from the estate of an elderly couple. I don't know the history or how old it is. I believe the fruit design is hand painted. It has 3 round wooden feet. It appears that this bowl has been used and shows some signs of that. utensil marks and scratches to the wood. Antique Woodcroftery Cherry Double Bowl Wooden Bowl
The Woodcroftery Company operated in Wayland. New York, from 1935 to 2009, making household objects from log to finished product- and was at one time the largest manufacturer of wooden bowls in the US. It was located in the Finger Lakes region of upstate New York. Using only cherry wood, the talented artisans were paid by the piece, working quickly and efficiently. A unique piece of American history, this is even more special because of the double bowl design. The bowls are 5 1/2 in. in diameter and 3 1/2 in. tall. The whole thing is approximately 11 in. across. It is in beautiful condition.

Reminds me of the tlaquepaque pottery, the bottom has a more serious looking woman. the wood bowl is not marked, similar to makers munising or woodcroftery, this is a very different item, i haven't come acroos anything like it. measurements- 11" wide 2 3/4" high. condition- very good considering the age. This sale is for 1 great vintage wooden bowl or basket with handle beautiful patina and hand painting very much intact in this vintage bowl by Woodcroftery of Wayland. N.Y. Measures 8 1/2 x 8 x 2 inches The curved/bent wood handle is 7/8 inch wide and nearly 1/4 inch thick& goes to 5 inches above the bowl. It is attached to the bowl with a wooded dial. The handle will stay in an unright position on its own. Or can be moved to either side all the way down.

This is a nice. Vintage, Genuine Woodcroftery salad bowl set. America's Finest Woodenware. I got this from my parents house when they moved. It appears to never have been used. I would guess it is from around 1960. The box is in good shape with a few spots. The box also has the word decoration on it so use at your own risk.
