Set 4 Vintage Painted Munising Wood Products 6 1/2" Salad Bowls
This nice set of 4 vintage Munising salad bowls are painted in the prettiest colors! In dark blue. Soft green, gold and soft tan they'll make a lovely stack in your kitchenware collection. As with other bowls from the Munising Wood Products Company, they were turned in the 1950s and remain in excellent condition with no damage. There are no chips, cracks or other unsightly blemishes on these 6" X 6 1/2" lathe-turned beauties. The finish is very nice, and the interiors are food safe.

Munising Bowls 1930/40s Wood Salad Bowl Set
Hand carved maple bowls made by the Munising Co. They are maple blonde in color. There is one large pedestal bowl that rests on three feet and measures 11" x 10 1/2" x 3" the six salad bowls each 6 3/8" x 6" they are not perfect circles. Based on the mark on the bottom these bowls were made from the 1930s/40s and possibly into the early 50's production stopped in 1955. They are in good used vintage condition the larger bowl has what looks like a surface scratch from a knife. And you can see it the picture and it does not interfere with the use.

The large bowl has a brick pattern and measures approximately 12.25" across and 4.25" tall. The smaller bowls that match measure approximately 5.75" acr oss and 2" tall. Th e Munising bowls measures approximately 6.5" across and 1.75" tall. As with any hand carved items. The dimensions are similar with each but will vary slightly. Vintage Signed Munising Salad/Dough Wood Bowl 10 1/2"
Bowl measures 10 3/8- 10 5/8" out of round diameter and is 3 1/2" deep. The wood is 1/2" thick- very sturdy. The bowl is painted red on the outside and at one time had three feet. The feet are missing. Otherwise. The bow is in good condition, has a nice patina. There is one very fine crack in the rim. It is marked on the back'Munising' Munising Wood Products operated in Munising Michigan from 1911- 1955. And crafted many wooden products, including salad bowls like this one. Vintage Munising wooden salad bowl Made from hardwood. Possibly maple. 11-1/4 in x 10-5/8 in x 2-7/8 in(28.5 cm x 27 cm x 7.5 cm) Engraved"Munising" on bottom- see last 2 photos. Used. Very good condition. Normal wear to inside of bowl. Including scratches. Bottom of bowl has streaks where the brown color has worn off- see photo. Munising were handmade in Munising. Michigan from 1911 to 1955 and are beautiful enough for display.

up for sale* Very nice vintage set of two Munising out of round wooded bowls. I believe they are maple and both have the Munising mark on the bottom. One nests in the other nicely as it is a bit smaller. apprx measurements are. 10 7/8 x 10 3/8 x 2 1/2 11 1/4" x 10 1/2" x 2 3/4" No chips or cracks to the wood just some normal scratches from use. I have conditioned with grapeseed oil as it gives a great non sticking treatment to wooden kitchenware. Awesome bowls! ~please note some pictures do have shadows across the bowls~

What a fabulous find! These are two small. Fabulous slightly oval shapedm thick wooden salad or fruit bowls turned from a solid piece of wood with rounded edges from Munising, Michigan. I haven't found anything like them(oval, small, rounded edges) on Ebay or elsewhere! My mother bought these many years ago with the intent to paint them, but never did. She was an amazing tole painter) They are in superb condition except for stains that would come from normal usage. See photos for details. The factory sadly burned in 1955, so these are older than that. Size is 6.5 inches at its widest diameter. Height about 1.5 inches- thickness about 3/8 inch. Wow. Munising Woodenware was in business from 1911 to 1955, so this bowl is at LEAST 57 years old, but based on comparisons to other bowls I’ve seen listed, it’s probably much older than 57. No way to tell for sure, I suppose(unless maybe if one’s an expert on these things, which I am not) I took MANY photos but this listing allows only 12. Offered for auction is a 10 1/2" signed Munising birdseye maple wooden bowl. The Munising factory in Michigan operated from 1911 to 1955. I would say this bowl is from the latter part of that range. It doesn't appear to have been used much. But does have a few minor scratches and scrapes on the interior. Nothing that significantly mars or detracts from the finish. Up for sale is a great Munising Wood Salad Bowl Set. The large salad bowl measures 11 1/4 x 10 3/4 x 3 inches high. The smaller salad bowls measure 6 1/4 x 5 7/8 x 1 1/2 inches deep. This set is in good overall condition with the large salad bowl and four bowls in great condition while the other four bowls need some refinishing. This set belonged to my grandmother who died back in 1966 and all her possessions were packed away in my parents garage. Not seeing the light of day for 48 years. The bowls are slightly oblong. They have a medium brown maple finish. The serving bowl measures 11 1/2"by 11" and 3" high- The two smaller bowls measure 7" by 6 1/2" and 1 3/8" high. With some slight variation in measurement between the two. Combined the set weighs 2 lbs 1.5 oz. All three bowls have a fantastic even finish. There are some light marks from use and storage. But none that are notable without close inspection. One of the two small bowls has a small factory split in the wood, as seen in the photos. This set of Beautiful Vintage Munising out of Round bowls set is from the town of Munising in Upper Michigan. They are a salad bowl set. large serving bowl) with 3 small salad bowls made of hard Maple. The largest bowl measures approximately 11 inches wide and 3.25 inches tall. It has the iconic burned in Munising name on the bottom underside. The 3 small salad bowls measure approximately 6.25 inches wide and 1.5 inches tall. They also have the iconic burned in Munising name on the bottom underside. The large bowl has minimal utensil wear and the wood and lustre finish are warm rich. The 3 matching salad bowls are the same color and have moderate utensil wear. One of the three bowls is worn with uneven finish as seen in final picture. This is a wonderful set for the collector of Munising bowls! Very Good Vintage condition! Large out of Round ... moresalad serving bowl is in Excellent condition. 2 of the 3 out of round small salad bowls are in very good condition and 1 small salad bowl is in fair to good condition because its glossy finish is uneven and has worn off in spots.
